Interview with Charles Deenen
Charles Deenen of MANIACS OF NOISE (MON) was interviewed by Chester and Orlando of BRAINSTORM. At first what is 'Maniacs of Noise'? Is it a kind of group? Yes, and No, MON is/was the company- and trade-name which we used in dealing with software-companies and development teames. Afterwards we extended our business and started doing Video-Promotion work under that name as well. Lately, I'm using this name doing record-song-productions. Tell us a little bit about the past. You were on the C-... read more
Interview with Apache
Apache of Vertigo was interviewed by Chester and Orlando of Brainstorm. Vertigo is a quite new group, when does it start? Vertigo was founded a couple of weeks before the Scoopex & Byterapers copyparty which was held 10.-13.8.90 here in Finland. With your first release (Vectors for all!) you have reached the place No.1 in the ZINE demochart. A good start - what's coming up next? Hmm... this is a hard one... Of course we will release more demos but it's too early to tell better specificat... read more

Interview with Dr. Awesome (Bjørn A. Lynne)
Dr. Awesome of Crusaders was interviewed by Chester and Orlando of Brainstorm. Tell us your computer history? Oh it all started back in 1983 when my friend got a ZX Spectrum for x-mas, and I got "hooked" on Time Gate, Football Manager, Penetrator and Hobbit. I got myself a Speccy and did some programming in Basic. I remember making a database thing, and about 50 different versions of the old "Western Shootout" game - all in basic. In 1987 I got the Amiga and instead of starting programming,... read more
Interview with Monotof
Iterview with Monotof of Storm, done by Orlando of Brainstorm. To start this interview, tell us, what is important for your group? (e.g. fastness, quality, friendship...) MONEY. There was a story about Tele5 and Red Sector. Can you tell us what happened? Why do you hate Red Sector? It wasn't me who did the interview and Gerd did it before I joined Storm. So, I just guess that if somebody offers you the possibility to make an interview and become famous you'd accept or you're stupid! If y... read more

Party Reports
Report on Bounty Party
BOUNTY CONFERENCE'90 IN HORSENS/DK ---------------------------------- After a long trip of 13 hours, we arrived to the partyplace held in a school. The party started at 18:00 and only a few freaks were present. In fact most of them were lamers (you know those childrens coming to parties only to play silly games). Times passed and some cool crews showed up: Silents, Flash, Kefrens, Crionics, Brain Wave, Direct. But as you can see it is really a few number. Besides, 90% of the freaks were comi... read more
Report on Gen 4 Demo Competition 90
THE FRENCH DEMO COMPETITION: A SCANDAL! ---------------------------- Remember the interview with Tom L. i the last issue? Here are some other facts about the big French national demo competition. You have, without doubt, seen some demos with the "GENERATION 4" slogan. All those demos were done for a competition organized by a french paper magazine called "Generation 4". Some words about this magazine: It was born two years ago and it's axed on the games concerning all High-tech co... read more
Report on No Limits and IMP 666 Amiga Conference
NO LIMITS and IMP-666 Conference -------------------------------- Arendal, Norway, 5TH-7TH October 1990 The party was held in a school near the town Arendal. It started officially at the 5th, but there were already a lot of freaks gathered at the partyplace the day before. Most of the Norwegian groups were present, like Cryptoburners, Crusaders, Network, Cult, Alive, and of course the arranging groups, but there were only a few members from Razor 1911 and Fraxion. There were also some Swedes... read more

Review on 100 Most Remembered C64 Game-Tunes
100 BEST C-64 TUNES ------------------- They are back, and probably also in the future: The good old C-64 times. Yes, the two composers, named PER HAKAN SUNDELL and RON BIRK, made it possible. A trip into the golden days of the C-64. They styled this musicdisk as realistic as possible, like the old C-64-demos looked like. They included pictures in the Koalapaint style and used chipsound of course. In every sound itself you can choose between more sounds or soundFX (game over, get ready, tit... read more
Review on Digital Concert 6
DIGITAL CONCERT VI BY FLASH PROD. --------------------------------- Again it is FLASH PRODUCTION with another issue of their DIGITAL CONCERTS. It seems that they are very busy working on it. The design is like all the others, except that the main picture is this time a logo. The samples are made again by COMMANDO. But this time I didn't like the DC so much compared with the older ones. There wasn't so much power in it. If you want to hear such a sound then turn on your radio and forget the... read more
Review on Neverwhere
CRIONICS NEVER WHERE DEMO ------------------------- Again a Crionics Demo and again it was released at a party: This time it was the Bounty-Party in Denmark. And it won the first place. The demo use the whole disk, has got an intro, a loader, and 3 big parts I think the intro (coded by Spy) is the very best part at all on this disk: there is a great atmosphere with the sound and the vector-pyramid. The other parts are just medium or a little bit better than the standart. Some routines are... read more
Review on Slideshow 3
DEMONS SLIDESHOW 3 ------------------ In the beginning, just a fact: One of the best slideshows in the last months is pobably this one from the French group Demons. After booting the disk it soon begins with the first pictures. The first five pics show the logo of the group, the credits for this work (Gfx: C-Dryc, Code: Hades, Sfx: Ric) and a logo "SLIDESHOW III". Until now it's nothing special, the logos are good and perfectly drawn. But after this kind of intro, the first 'real' picture c... read more
Review on Sound Of Silents
In the last two months, a lot of musicdisks have been released. I think that the 'SOUND OF SILENTS' is one of the best. The soundwizard of these great songs is called JESPER KYD of THE SILENTS. The beginning of this sounddisk is fantastic. There're some different pictures which show the credits. At all it is difficult to describe the outfit, so have a look at it yourself, dear reader. The best idea is the wall, which is drawn out of a perspective. The effect is really great. Mikael Balle has sh... read more
Review on CES Music Pack
E.C.E.S. MUSICPACK BY ANARCHY ---------------------------- No... please don't do it... Noooo... I will die... it's too hard... please not... Argh..., it is too late, someone just put the E.C.E.S. Anarchy Musicpack into the drive. Just kidding, 4-MAT so don't get angry. Another day, another musicdisk. This time I will have a look at the new tunes by 4-Mat. First of all I want to tell something about the outfit of this sounddisk. The menu is the same one like the Stolen-Data (diskmag) menu f... read more
