The Pride of FLASH PRODUCTION was interviewed by Chester of BRAINSTORM.

³-First, I want to know your age and when you have started computing?
¹I'm 19 years old and I started computing in 1986, when I bought my C64.

³-Why did you buy a computer?
¹Because one of my friends had an Atari Console machine and I liked
to play games, so I bought my C64.

³-I think FLASH was also on the C64. First, give us a short history about the group!
¹Flash Production was founded in late 1985. We had a lot of cool members on the C64. We didn't crack on the C64 but we produced demos. Then Mach II and Axe founded the Amiga division of Flash Production. Later Yamato joined them. In January 1989 I joined the guys on the Bamiga Sector One / Warfalcons party. After that time we have got new members from other Amiga groups like Gonzo, Freagle and Vixen from Byte Star. Also Commando, Denon and A No. One joined us. Flash Prod. on the C64 is dead for a long time now.

³-Why did you change the computer?
¹Because one of my other friends who also had an C64 bought an Amiga. And it was love by first sight.

³-Compare the C64-scene to the AMIGA-scene.
¹There were more friendsship in the 64 scene. There were also more who were cracking, on the Amiga there're only 5-6 real cracker groups. The demos in the two scenes is almost equal. The big problem is the lack of ideas.

³-What are the group's further projects?
¹We will soon release Digital Concert 6 and of course more cool Evolution packs. We have just finished our newest megademo, so we will take a little break until we'll start working on our next one.

³-How many contacts do you have?
¹I really don't know. I can only guess... 60-90 contacts.

³-List the members with their functions!
¹Gonzo.....music and coding
Freagle...coding and grafics
Yamato....coding and some swapping
Vixen.....coding and grafics
A No. One.grafics
The Pride.grafics and main swapping
Commando..music and coding
Denon.....grafics

³-What do you think about sections in other countries?
¹Well, if you can keep in close contact with them it's ok, but if not I don't think it's a good idea.

³-Many freaks say that Denmark has got the best scene. What do you think about this?
¹Yeah, I also think that the danish scene is pretty cool. Most of the guys in the danish scene knows eachother and talk ofen with eachother on the phone. We do also have some of the best demo crews. But there's very few crackers in Denmark, but who cares?

³-Make a sort of group-chart of Denmark.
¹That's a hard one... Don't take this chart too serius...
1. Paradox
2. Kefrens
3. Arcane
4. Supplex
5. Upfront
Please note that I haven't included ourselves in the chart.

³-What about the software-police?
¹Well, for about 3 months ago the danish software-police died! So, at the moment we don't have any police here in Denmark. But I think there will soon be a kind of police again.

³-What are your favorite personalities of the whole scene?
¹Hmm... I don't know... There's a lot of cool guys in the scene, so I don't wanna point anyone out.

(Join us in the next article..)
    (...continued.)

³-Why do you release compactdisks?
¹Because I like to make compactdisks, and because I hate to have 10 disks with 1 demo on each disk. With a compact disk you have 10 demos on one disk and you have saved 9 disks. And then it's great when people likes them, and I will continue making them as long I think it's funny and as long as people likes them.

³-Do you release them weekly?
¹No, we releases them when I have got enough cool demos to create a pack.

³-Do you collect demos OR games?
¹I collect megademos and I have about 65 megademos at the moment. I don't collect games.

³-What do you think about copy-parties? What's your opinion about the TSL & RSI-AMIGA-conference-1990?
¹I think copy-parties are cool. A great opportunity to meet all your friends and to release your latest works. About the RSI & TSL conference... I think it was a very cool and good planned party. Especially the demo-competition was cool... The demo was shown on a 3x3 meters big screen with some major big loudspeakers connected. THAT WAS COOL! There wasn't released much stuff at the party, but after the demo-competition all the cool demos were released and they were just COOL! All in all a great party! Great work, Silents and RSI.
³-Would you like to publish a magazine?
¹No, we think it takes too much time to create a good magazine. And there're already too many magazines in the scene.

³-What is your opinion about other magazines like News on Tour, CJ, DISC or Tech Times, etc...?
¹News on Tour is major cool... CJ is great (when they don't write in german!!) I don't think DISC is anything special... And Tech Times is cool, but release much too seldom.

³-Some last words...
¹Well, I will thank my good friend CHESTER of BRAINSTORM for this interview. And hi to all the cool people I met at the RSI-TSL party. And if you want your demos on the Evolution pack or just in contact with any member of Flash Production for any reason write to me! And of course a big munk to all members of Flash Production.
Now continue reading this cool mag...
