The Symposium '96 Invitation

                               - The Symposium '96 will be held on Easter 1996, 
                                 and will last from the 5th to the 8th April 96.
                                 The party place is situated somewhere in Ham-  
                                 burg, Germany...                               
                                                                                
                              INTRODUCTION:                                     
                              -------------                                     
                                                                                
                               - The party will be organized by several people  
                                 from the following demo-groups:                
                                 Lego, Phantasm, Polka Brothers, Oxyron(C64),   
                                 Absence(Falcon) and Avena(Falcon).             
                                                                                

                               - Nearly all of them have experience in organi-  
                                 zing such a event. Don't espect a low-standard 
                                 Party with the quality of other german parties 
                                 (e.g. Nexus -ed)                               
                                                                                
                               - This Party is planned for Amiga, C64, Falcon,  
                                 and PC.                                        
                                                                                
                               - This Party has nothing to do with the Digital  
                                 UK Symposium. Only the same name...            
                                                                                
                              WHERE:                                            
                              ------                                            
                                                                                
                               - Party place is a nice convention place called  
                                 ''Veranstaltungszentrum Burg Seevetal'' located
                                 in the south of Hamburg, Germany.              
                               - it offers place for 1000 people including com- 
                                 puters.                                        
                                                                                

                               -  location is equipped with large video beam,   
                                  dolby surround and all other things you know  
                                  from such events.                             
                               -  the entrace fee will be 35 DM. Foreign curren-
                                  cies won't be accepted.                       
                               -  How to reach the party-place:                 
                                                                                
                                  Train: - Hamburg Hauptbahnhof(Main station)   
                                         - take the S3 or S31(Gleis 4, HVV      
                                           price 4DM) to 'Hamburg'.             
                                         - there we will pick up you with the   
                                           Symposium shuttle service.           
                                         - Alternatively you may use the hourly 
                                           public buses to 'Seevetal'.          
                                                                                
                                  Plane: - bus shuttle service to 'Ohlsdorf'.   
                                         - take the U1 to reach 'Hamburg Haupt- 
                                           bahnhof'.                            
                                         - now follow the instructions from     
                                           'Train'(above).                      

                                  Ship:  - take the U3 at 'Landungsbruecken'    
                                           to reach the 'Hamburg Hauptbahnhof'. 
                                         - again follow now instructions from   
                                           'Train'(above).                      
                                                                                
                                  Car:   - If you come from the north on the A7 
                                           ('Autobahn 7') or B4('Bundesstrasse  
                                           4') you have to leave at the 'Ab-    
                                           fahrt' ''Fleestedt''. Then roll down 
                                           the 'Hittfelder Landstrasse e'(part  
                                           of the B4) souuthwards and follow the
                                           sign 'Veranstaltungszentrum'.        
                                         - If you come from the east or west(A1)
                                           then take the 'Abfahrt' ''Hittfeld''

                               - Demo compo: Amiga, Falcon, Archimedes, C64, PC 
                               - Intro compo: Amiga(40K), Falcon(96K), PC(64K)  
                               - 4K coding compo: Amiga, Falcon, PC             
                               - Graphics compo: compo for all systems together 
                               - Protracker Module: compo for all systems       
                                  ( 4 Channel)             together             
                               - Multi channel compo: compo for all systems     
                                 (in executable form)        togehter           
                               - Video compo: PAL VHS&SVHS are accepted(10 min) 
                               - Wild compo: Use the Hardware you want!

                               ->> Technical rules:                             
                                                                                
                                   - your production must run without inter-    
                                     action(except disc-changing)               
                                   - Amiga-executables must run on an A1200/020 

                                     with 4MB FAST RAM. But all will be shown   
                                     on a A1200/030 running at 50 MHz.          
                                   - The Graphic-Compo is anonymous. It's not   
                                     allowed that the picture contain a hint of 
                                     who the author is. You may copy a second   
                                     version(with handle) on the disc, too. This
                                     will be the spreaded version.              
                                     Formats are IFF, JPEGS, and PNG            
                                   - Music compos are anonymous, too. Maximum   
                                     play-lengh is 3 minutes. No crunched mo-   
                                     dules allowed(4 Channel). Maximum size is  
                                     1MB(4 Channel), 1,4MB(Multi Channel).      
                                   - The 4k compo is anonymous, too. No music is
                                     allowed.                                   
                                   - Intro-compo: Maximum lengh 5 minutes.      
                                                  Falcon must use PSG music     
                                                                                
                                   - Demo-compo:                                
                                                                                
                                             - not longer than 4 DD discs(Amiga)

                                             - installation must not require    
                                               assigns, enviroment variables    
                                               or files copied to completely    
                                               different files on the HD(Amiga) 
                                             - demo lengh limited to 15 minutes 
                                               (C64 7 minutes)                  
                                   - For the Wild compo tell us the Hardware    
                                     you used or take it with you.              
                                                                                
                                   - maximum lengh 10 minutes                   
                                                                                
                               ->>There will be also a selection(by a jury) of  
                                  the most compatible Amiga-demo.
