    This time for Deadlock I  interviewed  Duncan  of  Finnish group Damones to
 get his views  of  the  scene  and  all  that  other  shit  that people always
 interview you about. In case you didn't  know, Duncan wants you to read RAPPIO
 (the Damones scenemag) really badly, so be afraid if you haven't :)

 DL:     Question 1...just general stuff basically;  groups, function and so on
 :)

 DD:     Current group: Damones (ex.Magnetic Fields,  Digital),  I do some code
 n' trade, and started the scene in 1989.

 DL:     What do you think of the scene nowadays compared to ye olde tymes?

 DD:     Well, you never gonna get old  times  back...a shame, but nowadays the
 demos are great and there's  more  decent  products...and  almost all  the old
 farts are still on the scene..:)

 DL:     Righto...now I'm gonna say a  word,  and  you've  got to say the first
 thing you think about it, and  don't  even  think  you've seen it in a diskmag
 before :)

 DD:     Shoot!

 DL:     "UK Scene"

 DD:     Aaargh...hmm...tough one...only remember cracking teams and of  course
 MF and Digital, but I've heard it's pretty lame nowadays?

 DL:     If you say so! :) "Escom"

 DD:     Our saviour? But I've also heard it has suffered huge losses...I don't
 know if it'll manage to save the Amiga...

 DL:     "R.A.W."

 DD:     SECOND best mag in the world! :) Read RAPPIO and be popular!

 DL:     Well at least you didn't say The Word :)..."Scandinavian Scene"

 DD:     Hmmm...maybe the  best  demo  scene  today...lotsa  great  demos  from
 Sweden, Denmark and Finland of course..

 DL:     "Traders"

 DD:     Do they suck? Heheh...well  can't  blame  them...after all I've traded
 myself. I've noticed some people are badly against them though :)

 DL:     "ASCII artists"

 DD:     They are needed... but there's only  a  few good ones... I mean really
 good...

 DL:     "Nazis"

 DD: There's lots of skinheads in my town  and I just can't stand  'em. Finnish
 ones are so stoopid...

 DL:     At least some things are the same the world over :)

 DD:     Hehehe

 DL:     "Superconsoles"

 DD:     They beat computer's asses... am I right?

 DD:     ...never heard of it...heheh...

 DL:     Heheh.."Melon"

 DD:     Melon, lemon...what's the difference...nice demos :)

 DL:     "Andromeda"

 DD:     Nice team with nice people. haven't  seen  their productions in a year
 or so...do I live in a barrel? :D

 DL:     Heheh either that or you have no 1200 like me :)

 DD:     Heheheh you're right!

 DL:     "Party 95"

 DD:     World's  best...but  it  sucks...that's  what  all  the  reports  say.
 Assembly is at least as great as TP :){

 DL:     Ookay..normal question time  again..name  your  favourite demo, coder,
 musician and graphician :)

 DD:     Argh! Hold on, I gotta think...

 DL:     Think away :D

 DD:     Okay...

 DL:     Heheheh :) Right,  have  you  or  has  anyone  you  know actually SEEN
 Dataworld (the 80meg bizarre competition entry  at  Party  95) and if so, what
 did you/they think of it?

 DD:     Dataworld....bizarre..hmm, read Rappio!!

 DL:     Okay okay! Doh!

 DD:     Heheh haven't seen Dataworld :D

 DL:     That's the end then....hope it wasn't too painful :) You can say stuff
 that you think is important and a few brief greets if you like :)

 DD:     Okay, well you can expect  some  weird  intros  and the ultimate scene
 magazine, Rappio (what's wrong with DL? :) out sometime in Feb., from Damones,
 check out www.rautu.ratol.fi/~tatiala (I  tried!)...Zados  decided to quit the
 scene...lost a magnificent character....big shame.
