Common rules for all compos and platforms:

1._The release date of each work must be greater than August 26 1996.
A work will be admitted only if this condition is fulfilled.
2._The jump to the next part of a demo (intro) must not require the pressing
of any key (excluding sound/video configuration at the beginning).
3._The pure animation is prohibited at demo (intro) compo. The animation
may be shown as a part of a demo, but entire demo must not be an animation.
4._Image(s) will be rejected from gfx compo if scanned or ported from other
platforms.
5._At least one representative of each team is required to be present at
the party place.
6._File names are required to conform MS-DOS naming convention ISO-9660
("A"-"Z", "0"-"9" of maximum length up to 8+3). It eliminates problems
under MS-DOS.
7._Compo entries registration ends an hour before the appropriate compo.
Music compo entries registration ends at the first day (see shedule).


I._Compo Rules for PC platform.

* Min computer configuration (all compo entries must run under this
configuration):
486DX, 4MB, SVGA 1MB, No Sound.

* Compo PC (min configuration of compo computer):
P5-100/8MB/SVGA 2MB.
Sound Blaster (Pro) 2.0 and Gravis UltraSound 1MB.
MSDOS. By the choice: QEMM/HIMEM/Clean boot.

* Compos

8k Intro compo (PC):

Max size - 8k.
Max showing time - 5 minutes.
Only VGA-compatible graphics modes are allowed. Not SVGA!
Intro/demo has to exit to DOS if ESC is pressed.

64k Intro compo (PC):

Max size - 64k.
Max showing time - 10 minutes.
VGA and SVGA VESA (UniVBE 5.3) graphics modes are acceptable.
The resolution must be 640x480 or less.
Intro/demo has to exit to DOS if ESC is pressed.

Demo compo (PC):

Max size - 4096KB.
Max showing time - 15 minutes (but the demo itself may lasts longer).
VGA and SVGA VESA (UniVBE 5.3) graphics modes are acceptable.
The resolution must be 640x480 or less.
Intro/demo has to exit to DOS if ESC is pressed.

Music compo (PC, AMIGA):

File formats are .XM, .S3M, .MOD, .IT.
Max size - 1MB.
Max playing time - 3 minutes.
Only one work per musician is acceptable.
At the end of song the sound must NOT looping.
Gravis UltraSound 1MB and Cubic Player will be used for the playing
(it's possible to play music from the Commodore Amiga if it's desired).

Graphics compo (PC, AMIGA, etc.):

Raytraced/rendered pictures are PROHIBITED.
File formats: JPG, GIF, PCX, PNG.
Max resolution - 640x480.
Max color depth - 16.7M.
QPV will be used for the viewing.
Max of 3 pictures per each group/artist are acceptable.

Raytracing compo (PC, AMIGA, etc.):

Raytraced/rendered pictures are ALLOWED.
File formats: JPG, GIF, PCX, PNG.
Max resolution - 640x480.
Max color depth - 16.7M.
QPV will be used for the viewing.
Max of 2 pictures per each group/artist are acceptable.

Real-time coders compo (PC):

The goal is to write a short program in a limited period of time (a few hours).
Exact program specification will be given just before the start of the compo.
The competitors will be provided with a computers and minimal set of software
and documentation for this competition.
The using of any other materials from any media (disks, paper, etc.) is
strictly prohibited.
If the number of competitors will be greater than organizers are able
to support, the priority will be given to the people registered first
(from the beginning of the party).


II. Compo Rules for Amiga platform.

* Min configuration:

Commodore Amiga 1200/4MB.

* Compos

64K intro compo (AMIGA):

Max showing time - 10 minutes.

4K intro compo (AMIGA):

Max showing time - 5 minutes.


III. Compo Rules for ZX Spectrum platform.

* Min configuration (all compo entries must run under this configuration):

Pentagon 128 (3.5M­z, 128K, TR-DOS 5.03/5.04T, AY-3-8910/12, 5'25 DS/DD FDD).

* Compos

Graphics compo (ZX):

The pictures of standard spectrum screen are acceptable for this compo
(load address - 16384, length - 6912 bytes).Max of 3 pictures per
graphician are acceptable.

Music compo (ZX):

The music for AY-3-8910/12 coprocessor is acceptable for this compo.
Music can be both "on interrupt" and digital. The music in the editor's
format will be accepted (editors: Sound Tracker, ASM, ProTracker),
if you use another editor, please, bring it along with compiler to
the partyplace. Max playing time - 3 minutes. Max of 1 work per
musician are acceptable.

Demo compo (ZX):

Max showing time - 10 minutes. Max size - standard TR-DOS DS/DD disk,
(2544 sectors = 651264 bytes). Note: If you use incomplete addressing
of the #7FFD port, i.e. OUT (#FD),A command, you must set sixth bit
of register to 1 before OUT command.


Additional information.

The number of compo entries announced before each compo.
The winner of each compo will be determined using vote results of all the
people at the party place.
Potential participants, please pay attention to this - please do not forget
to include file_id.diz files into archives. File_id.diz file must contain
the title of work, author handle (or name) and group name (or "independent").
Usually the copyright is written in this form: Handle / Group
(i.e. name and group delimited by slash).
Organizers are NOT responsible for accomodation of participants during
the party.
If you are going to bring some hardware with you (computers, etc.), please
inform us in advance. We will provide some place and electric power and can
afford some help in installation and troubleshooting.
