POSADAS PARTY REPORT

        (Wind & Leunam of TNC)

  You   will   surely  have  read  the
Spanish Scene History and, if not, you
should read it now!  The last party we
talked  about,  the Posadas Party, was
the last one held here, and the one we
will review here.

 Place:
 It was held in Posadas, a little town
near  Cordoba,  at 100km from Seville.
We used the auditorium as party place,
with    a   swimming   pool   at   our
disposition  to  help  overcoming  the
50°C temperature.  Really hot!

  Organizers:
  "Nivel 7" organized this party, with
a very good work during and before the
party.     They    even   got   female
organicers    to    help,   and   very
good-looking ones indeed.

  Compo Machine:
  It  was  an  A1200,  030/50  and 4mb
Fast,  altrought  none  of  the  demos
presented used it to full extent.  The
winning  demo  and intro, for example,
run on standart A500!

  Voting System:
  One member from each group went to a
jury,  where  they first saw and voted
for  the  entries  from 1 to 5 points.
One  couldn't  vote for his own group,
thus giving it 0 points.

 Competitions:

   Demos:
   There  were only three entries, but
with  a  very  good  level.The allowed
size  was two disks.  The third placed
one,  called "YOU", was made by Metro.
Altrought   it   has   no  outstanding
effects,  it  got  a  good design and,
surpringsly,  a  very good chipmusic (
40kb  uncrunched!  ).  It doesn't work
on  a  standart  A1200  due to a small
error   at  assembling,  but  a  fixed
version is on the way.
    Second place to "BACK 2 LIVING" by
Necropolis,  with good effects such as
tunnels  and  motion blur.  Also works
on A1200.
   First  place  to "BATMAN VUELVE" by
Batman  Group.   This one is A500, but
got  ALL the points from the jury.  It
simply  doesn't  seem  a Spanish demo,
due  to  a  very  good design, coding,
music....  all!!

  Intros:
   Many entries here, but some of them
in   BLITZ   &  AMOS!   Medium  level.
Allowed size was 64kb.
    The third placer was "DISTORTIONS"
by  Batman  Group  & TNC.  TNC put the
GFXs,  and BG the code and music.  The
relevant   thing  is  that  the  coder
(ex-Rauling/BG,  now Wind/TNC) and the
Graphician  (Leunam/TNC),  started his
Scene  Career  on this one, so it's no
big surprise it's not very impressing.
    Second  place  to  "CRAZY DAYS" by
Necropolis, with some effects from the
demo.
    First   one   to   "INTROXELE"  by
Odrusba.   It  got  a very good music,
and  a  excelent plane-morphingvector.
Very  good  design, with a poem synced
to  the  music, but, unfortunately, in
Spanish.

    Music:
   Many  entries  as  usual, with very
good level.  Big surprise here, as the
winner  wasn't  Estrayk/Darkness,  who
has won every module-compo before!  He
placed   third,   though.   The  first
placed   was  made  with  strings  and
pianos...   and  going  up  &  down in
HeartTracker!

    Graphics:
    Magic  Touch  from  Metro  striked
again   this  year,  with  an  amazing
pic...  the compo was bigger than last
year,  and  new  people  participated,
such  as the second placer, made by an
almost-newcomer.

    Fast Compos:
    Many entries in the fastmod-compo,
with very good songs, as they got only
an  60  bytes sample!.  The GFXs-compo
got  less entries, but the quality was
good.   The  fastcoding-compo got only
one  entry,  with a flag routine whose
lenght was 12 lines!!

  In general, this party helped people
to  realise  that  the  Scene  was not
dead,  as  it  may  seem  from the low
number  of  demos  that are made here.
It  helped  also  smaller groups, like
us,   to  get  in  touch  with  bigger
groups,  making  it a time well spent.
