The CeBITĀ“92 partyreport

After the very exciting CeBIT where we
met a lot of interesting guys (as
always) we went to the Cebit-party
promised to us by the german part of
CULT. The invitation was quite clear
and the way was very easy to find! So
we arrived at about 8 pm and a lot of
guys were already present. The place
was a youth-club (Jugendzentrum in
German) but as we entered the place
the we got shocked the first time:
Instead of the 5DM promised on the
invitation we had to pay 10DM! Quite
bad!!! But they had special prices
for partyreport-editors !!! (Quite
nice!) The partyplace itself was a
house with 5 small rooms and a

cafeteria and it was too small! The
rooms were overcrowded and noone could
move anymore...There were a lot of
groups present but mostly the smaller
ones... let me tell you some groups I
can remember: Sanity, Treacl,
Hysteria, TSB, Hardline, Panic &
Agnostic Front, Cyborx, Amnesia, Skid
Row, Pirates, The Risk, Jukebox, TEK,
Razor 1911, Alcatraz, Black Monks,
TRSI, Fairlight and many more i cannot
remember... So, time went on with
talking and boozing...No real action
anywhere... The only thing worth
mentioning was the guy who broke
together and had to be carried away by
the ambulance...But then the

competitions started: The
grafixcompetition seemed to be a fake
because NAVY/VANISH won the 2nd and
3rd place so he got 300,-DM the first
palce got 250,-DM.... The
democompetition was (like always in
Germany) more like an intro
competition. TRSI were the only ones
to release a dentro, Cyborx released a
trackmo. But they hired a
picture-woofer which build up the
picture by dots.As the way between the
woofer and the wall was 5-6 metres the
pictures was not sharp. Everything
you saw were big dots. This was
extremely lame at the grafix-compo!

 So the results were:
1. TRSI - Dentro
2. Amnesia - Dot-Intro
3. Cyborx - Trackmo

After copying all the stuff the freaks
spread out and headed home again. All
in all the party was ok, the
partyplace too small and
uncomfortable, promises , except the
entrance-fee, were held, the cinema a
normal room and the picture-woofer too
bad to get the resolution of the
Amiga! I do not want to judge the
party but if you have not been there
you missed nothing!

THE CEBIT '92 REPORT 15th MARCH 1992

by RokDaZone

Yet again it is the annual
CEBIT-report. This time as expected
it is the CEBIT'92 Report (some
things never change).
After 2.15 hours and about 40
kilometres of roadblock,we finally
arrived in Hall 1, where the
COMMODORE-exhibition was located as
usually. By the way,'we' here means
PINNY/ANARCHY, HIGGIE/BABOONS, me and
another friend of us, who is of no
further interest for this report.
First of all, let me give you a small
list of the bigger groups, present
here (not complete, sorry): ADEPT,
AGNOSTIC FRONT, ALCATRAZ, AMAZE,

ANARCHY, ANIMATORS, AWAKE, BLACK
MONKS, FAIRLIGHT, LSD, MEXX, PANIC,
REBELS, SANITY, SCOOPEX, SKID ROW,
TRSI, THE SPECIAL BROTHERS, ...
Well, we arrived at the big white
'tagging-wall' at about 10 a.m., that
was already overcrowded by freaks
spraying and painting logos, messages
and addys. At 10.25 an official lady
from COMMODORE showed up to tell us
that if we were real "FANS" of the
AMIGA, we should stop tagging and
boozing, because eventually COMMODORE
won't be allowed to participate at
CEBIT'93, if the wall and the
surroundings will be turned into a

mess. I offered something like an
official statement from COMMODORE in
front of several scene-mags to her,
but she only ran away as if words
would be enough to stop those freaks,
that seemingly got mad, as could be
seen in their behaviour (if YOU are
the elite as you stated, then I
really do not want to see the rest!
). The real probleme, however, was
not that COMMODORE themselves felt
uncomfortable about what was going on,
but the neighbouring firms had fears
that potential clients may be deterred
from freaks behaving that bad. I
thought there must be a competition,
who was able to cry "Fuck!" and
"Beeer!" most aloud and who is able to
spilt the most liquids on the floor...
I won't tell no names,but those guys
should think about if it is cool to be

prepubertarian! This can also be seen
in the ridiculous graffitis
saying:"FUCK ATARI ST!" I feel quite
bewildered about these idiots, because
I thought the scene of today should
have quite enough selfassurance to
stop those outbreaks of
pseudosuperiority. Seemingly LITTLE
BOYS need these 'statements' to make
themselves feel important...
Something, I also found interesting
was the behaviour of the exhibition
guards and officials, because they
were really in fear of me being from
"the press". Everytime I went closer
to them to ask for a statement, they
turned around and I heard whispers
like: " Let's step a bit aside, the
press is here." The press??? Me? Hm,
quite funny... Although COMMODORE
invented their AMIGA-V.I.P.-CLUB and

therefore tried to be friendly to the
freaks (remember the small sinusbeep
birtday sere- nade for FRANKY/AGNOSTIC
FRONT ???), there was something
left, I really have to complain about.
As expected, COMMODORE tried to
impress possible clients, by
demonstrating the possibilities of
AMIGA multi-media, SCALA AMIGA
600/-HD, CDTV, ... Therefore, they
displayed some short AMIGA made movies
on a big video-screen. A demo without
sound is nothing and there- fore they
played some real cool tunes. Guess
what! I knew them. Tune one was
"SPACE DELIRIA" by
Dr.Awesome/Ex-CRUSADERS and the second
"Street Jungle" by
Heatbeat/CARILLION!!! Well, I had
doubts, if these guys gave their
aggreement to this and therefore I

again tried to get a statement from
COMMODORE. I did not get one. All of
the 10-15 persons I have asked first
were really proud about having
participated in creating the ad-
vertising movies and after I have
asked about it,they all told me to ask
another person, because:"I don't know
nothing at all about it!" Only one
slimy 'Yuppie' had a longer statement
for me: "If this guy releases his
songs as Public Domain, he knows about
the consequences!" Well, may this be
the reason why CRUSADERS write a
protection note in front of all
releases - including "Space
Deliria?".

        Now to CEBIT/SCENE NEWS!

 - CHROME have now a new sticker. Pity

  it doesn't stick at all!
- Finally, the war between AMAZE and
  AWAKE ended.
- VISION/Ex-TRSI has no wider success
  as beatboxer...
- SHUT BERLIN of SKID ROW finally
  demented the rumours, some members
of them left SKID ROW and the
AMIGA-Scene to start it all over on
  PC. MAGIC DRUMMER/SKID ROW released
his very first crack on 13th
  March. It is called AMBERSTAR.
- VISIONER/??? beat up BLACK
  GHOST/CYTAX while a quarrel (I am
not quite sure, if I got the right
  names!).
- HYSTERIC  FINLAND     was    opened;
Soon HYSTERIC will open a new board,
  Sysop will be LUNKWIL L.
- A demo to ridicule COMA was released.
- MR. PET/SANITY who later appeared

to be CHAOS/SANITY (ROK: HAHA, seems
to be fun to irritate a poor little
  STOLEN DATA-editor!) told me about
their next releases. Soon to come:
Music disk at the CULT-Party after
the CEBIT; code by CHAOS (MR. PET?),
music by JESTER. Two trackmos and
  some intros in near future
(ROK: ...but only if they manage to
get the GFX ready. Hi, CHAOS: Small
  "revenge". YUK!).
- DYTEC a young group consisting of
guys from East- and West-Berlin are
  a c t i v e on three systems (PC,
AMIGA, C-64). This is what I call
  spirit!
- I have promised the drunken but
  funny PIRANHA/PANIC to write
something real stupid for him. Well,
mate, here You are: "Etwas gaaanz
  doofes!" RokDaZone
