Narcosis Profile - Motive

Name: Stuart Morton

Handle: Motive OR Stu (depending on my mood)

Group: Narcosis

Age: 21

What do you do in your group?: Organiser, coder, swapper.

Name your fave...
Util    : Devpac 3.0
Demo    : Point Blank/Andromeda
Diskmag : Grapevine/LSD

What do you enjoy most about the scene?: The amount of demos, intro and mags
released. Bigger, better scene than any other computer scene.{
What do you enjoy least about the scene?: Those shitty chiptros groups keep
releasing, they should at least put a bit more effort and time into them. Put
some inventive new routines in to make it visually pleasing.

What is your hardware setup?: Amiga 1200+80MegHD connected to my HiFi for loud
thumping sounds.  [Ooer - R-9!]

How much do you spend on your computer a year (hard/software)?: Nothing if I
don't need to.

What do you think about the diskmag scene?: Ok, I hardly get to see many mags
so what I would say would not speak for the majority of mags BUT I have seen
big mags, small mags, all good in their own way. But if all the small mags
which have formed just to jump on the bandwagon were to unite with the bigger
mags, then they sure would be awesome mags.

Are the charts a waste of time?: Charts are good for finding out who is
releasing the best productions, they also give these people 5 minutes of fame
in the chart-listings. So therefore no they are NOT.

{
Non-scene stuff now. What do you do for a living (work/student/etc.)?: I'm a
studying for a Degree in Computation at UMIST Manchester. And working part-
time in the evenings to pay off my debts.

What do you do in your spare time apart from the Amiga?: Go out and get
pissed, buy plenty of house and techno on Vinyl and then play it until the
neighbours start to complain.

What sort of music are you into?: House, Techno and Hip-Hop.

Can you name your MOST fave...

Drink (non-alcoholic) : Horlicks..yuk
Film : Any James Bond films, because we see them on TV on
                        Bank holidays, and it's getting as bad as the Great

                        work.  [Tasteful! - R-9!]
{
Shop : Woolworths - the assistants in the music section are
                        as thick as pig shit!

If you had one day to live what would you do?: Buy all the vinyl I have missed
out on and get smashed of my head. And finish my college assignments :-)

If you had £2,000,000 to spend, what would you buy?: Driving lessons, a
Vauxhall Calibre, a stompin' stereo for my car and 250Meg Hard-drive, and a
new pair of socks 'coz all my other have holes in.

What was the most embarrassing moment in your life?: Hmm, I think the worst
time was when I was at Secondary school in the 2nd year, at a class disco a
friend and I were asked to do a Breakdancing routine - we hadn't even
rehearsed - it was pitiful!

Who would you MOST like to be stuck in a lift with?: Amanda Donahoe.

Who would you LEAST like to be stuck in a lift with?: Any PC freak who waffles
on about how Windows is so good.
{
And finally, who would you most like to kill?: Anyone on the scene who goes
around slagging people off saying they are shit when they can do bugger fuck
all.}
