HALLOWEEN '93 REPORT

First  of  all,  this  was  the WORST
fucking party I've ever been to.  Not
because  of the few people vistiting,
about   350,   but   because  of  the
extremely   bad   organizing.   Rage,
Silents,  AlcatraSH  and  MCS  did an
extremely  good  job  destroying  the
party.   Cuddley and Spirou were both
KICKED  out  of  Silents due to their
fucken lame behaviour at the party.



                PLACE

It  took place in a school in a small
village called Skene.  The invitation
said  that  it  would  be  the 'real'
partyfeeling    since    it   was   a
school(with   classrooms,   like  old
days),  but  it  could  not have been
more  wrong.   There  were  as always
some  racists  present,  but they all
acted very calm so I don't blame them
for  anything.   There were almost no
trouble  att  all,  but  some of them
were thrown out by the police anyway.

You  had  to  walk  500 metres to the
nearest   petrolstation,  not  50  as
stated   in   the   invitation.   The
pizza-restaurant was placed over 2 km
from the party, and even if you could
order  pizzas from the organizers, it
took  over  2  hours(!!)  to get your
icecold   pizza!   There  was  not  a
single  shower  at  the  party.   The
invitation-sheet  had  said  that you
simply  could  walk  to the swim-hall
just  beside  the party-building, but
the  only  problem  was  that  it was
closed!!   It  opened  on Sunday, but
then  most  people  were on their way
home.

               ALCOHOL

Alcohol  was not allowed, even though
the  contrary  had been stated in the
invitation-sheet.  Cuddley and Rayban
confiscated   everything  they  could
see,  and  then  they drank it all up
themselves.   When  nothing  was left
Cuddley   filled  an  Absolute-bottle
with  his piss and went around saying
that  you  now  could  drink  alcohol
again...   When  MCS  scanned through
the   party   for   alcohol,   almost
everything was found in Rage's room..



            COMPETITIONS

They were all a FUCKING FIASKO!!  The
music-  and graphics-competition were
both  unbelievable  unfair due to the
jury  who  chosed which contributions
to  play/show.  The jury consisted of
16  persons,  but  not  one  of these
persons admitted afterwards that they
had been a part of it.

The jury received 50 contributions in
the music-competition.  The jury said
that  it was about 90% of the 50 that
was  techno.  There were not ONE tune
of  the  10  selected that was better
than  fucking  SHIT!  That would have
been okay if all the 50 contributions
had  been  shit,  but  both Probe and
Deelite  competed  and  they were not
even selected!  Probe has won the two
latest musiccompetitions(TCC and ECC)
and  Deelite  is generally recognized
as  one of the very best musicians in
Sweden.   They  both  competed with 2
very  nice  tunes,  but  as said they
were  both  neglected  by  the  jury!
Instead  they  selected  3(!!)  songs
from  the  group  Powerbeat(who?) and
one  from Toxic/Virtual, a graphician
that  just  competed  for fun...  The
'winner'  was  a guy in Powerbeat and
Toxic reached the second place!  Do I
need to say more?

The  graphics-competition  was almost
as  unfair.  The 10 selected pictures
consisted  of 2 very good pictures, 2
average  and  the  rest  was garbage.
Once  again,  they'd neglected a good
competitor,  JTF/Exceed.  He competed
with a picture that didn't deserve to
win  but  to  reach  the third place.
His picture was not even shown!!  The
winner was Phantom/Orbital and on the
second  place  came D-Design/Virtual.
Both  pictures  were  very nice, even
though I think D-design was worth the
first place.


There  was  no democompetition due to
lack  of  competitors, and the prices
were  used to pay actual damages made
by the partypeople.
The   introcompetition   was  also  a
fiasko.   They received 2 intros, one
from  Reflex  and  one from Sardonyx.
Reflex  intro consisted of two logos,
and  no  effects  at  all.   Sardonyx
intro  had  some awful graphics and a
filled  vector-pyramid(yeah..).  They
shared  the  first-place and received
1000  Skr  each.   It was quite funny
when  the  prices  were paid, because
the  two  groups insisted in going up
on  stage  with  all their members(30
persons..)  and  there  were  only 35
persons in the hall by then.  So when
they  had  reached  the  stage, there
were only 5 people watching.  Haha.
There  was  also  a  'CP'-competition
where you should draw an animation as
weird  as  possible.  The competition
was announced 1 hour before deadline,
but the winner had started on friday.
Strange?   No.   He was placed in the
organizer's room..No real prices were
paid.   Anyway,  this quite silly(but
indeed  funny!)  competition  was the
only highlight of the party.

              THE HALL

The 'great' hall where everything was
shown was a big joke.  I think it was
meant  for  300 persons or something,
so  some people didn't find any place
to  sit.   I  wonder  what would have
happened  if  more  people would have
come.   The  screen was actually very
good,  and  the sound was enough even
though  the  things  they played were
shit.   They also shew some movies on
the  screen with a laser-disc system.
Movies  shown  were  Braindead,  Star
Wars,  Terminator  1&2,  Freejack and
Slivers.  Interesting facts, eh?  The
reason  I  know  is  that most people
slept  in  the hall, cause it was the
only place that was dark.

           THE ORGANIZING

There      were     two(!)     people
(Skyraider/RAGE  and  some other with
glasses)  that held this party from a
total  anarchy.   Rage, AlcatraSH and
Silents left on the Saturday-night so
that  they  did not have to clean the
place..
               OVERALL

I  don't think that a party ever will
be as bad as this again.  I can't see
HOW  you  can make it worse(well, you
could  remove the toilet-paper..).  I
hope  that  the  next party in Sweden
will be better, else people will stop
going to them.

Let's   hope   Party   III   will  be
better..Hehe.


 Hour by hour - Halloween '93 party

               2 P.M. 

I  and  Deelite  arrive at the party.
Nothing  is  going on, so we are just
walking    around    chatting    with
game-playing    people.    It's   2-3
kilometres     to     the     nearest
pizza restaurant and quite a long way
to   the   nearest  petrol  (Diesel!)
station   too..The   pizzas  are  NOT
optimized,  it takes two hours to get
a  pizza after ordering one..  Groups
present:    Ehh..   Yodel,  Sagazity,
Reflex,  Impact..In  other words:  no
famous groups at all.
               10 P.M

Spaceballs   have   arrived(yea..hm).
They  have  locked  themselves up and
won't let anybody in(except me, but I
couldn't  find  any reason to stay?).
Have  they  come all this way just to
have four-way-sex with Major Asshole?
Vinnie   is  composing  on  his  tune
Craptracking,   at   the  moment  690
kb(hrm..).   Some  trouble  with  the
police  has occurred, and some people
were   actually   thrown   out,   but
stubborn as they are, they're back...
290 people has arrived..

               11 P.M

A  Night-Bandy-tournament  is  taking
place  in  the  big  hall.   Not  for
scene-members,   no,   but  for  real
sportsmen..   So we can't enter until
12  A.M.   tomorrow...   Some  of the
more     innovative    party-visitors
(Drakir/Noice,Probe    and   Deelite)
tried  to  enter  the  tournament  by
doing a 'barras', showing their naked
asses  to  the audience(we're cool, I
know).     I,    Network/Noice    and
Toxic/Virtual   witnessed  the  whole
thing,  but  the  sportsmen  found it
vulgar  and  we  were  not allowed to
enter.   Spaceballs are playing poker
and  ask  how  many  people  who have
arrived.   If  there are enough, they
will  release  their  new demo called
9-fingers(State of the Art II).  They
probably won't.


               12 P.M.

The  organization  staff  is  walking
around     searching    for    booze.
Strangely  enough,  most of the beers
were found at Rage's place..

There  has  been actual threats about
stopping  the  party  if  anyone  was
found   out  drinking  alcohol.   The
invitation  sheet  says nothing about
alcohol being consumed, and since the
ambience  is quite nice now, we think
the   threat   is  just  unnecessary.
Well, our booze didn't last very long
so we're already sober..

           3 A.M. Saturday

Rubber  and  Cuddley  of  Silents are
playing  legitimed  gynecologists and
are really disturbing our peaceful so
called  'cafeteria'.   Spaceballs are
sleeping.

           10 A.M Saturday

We  have  just  found  out  that  the
swimhall   is  closed  today..   That
means  no  showers for anyone.  There
are  no  sound-equipment  at all yet,
hope  that somebody will come up with
one  in  time  for  the  music-compo.
Right  now  90% of the people present
are  playing  either  Pinball Dreams,
Frontier,   technomodules   or   just
sitting copying !hot!  warez in front
of   their  X-copy.   Spaceballs  are
playing poker again.

          11 A.M. Saturday 

A   guy   in  4dDz  has  just  got  a
epileptic  stroke and has been picked
up   by   an  ambulance.   Thanks  to
Jojo-man/Destroyers(who!)   for   his
heroic    effort.    Spaceballs   are
playing poker(no?).

          12 A.M. Saturday

Absolutely   nothing   is  happening.
Major  Asshole has currently lost 150
SEK  to  Lone  Starr and Vinnie.  Who
bothers??

           2 P.M. Saturday

They  have  opened the 'big' hall and
are  now  showing Terminator 1..Quite
good  quality  of the screen, but the
film  could  be  better..  The pizzas
are  as  late  as always.  We ordered
one  1  A.M., we will get it in about
three  hours..(Help!   Somebody  took
one   of   our  tables..!)  Currently
present  in the room is one computer,
8  persons  and  about  30  tables...
This  is  the ELITE-room of the party
and  only  100%  elite  is allowed to
enter.   That  excludes  about 99% of
the attenders at this party(hmm..).

           6 P.M. Saturday

Spaceballs   are   leaving.   They've
gotten  tired  of the party.  I can't
figure out how, 'cause I haven't seen
them  outside  their  room one single
time.  Byebye.
          10 P.M. Saturday

Scandal!  They have played all the 10
chosen  contributions,  all  of  them
were rotten techno!!  Neither Probe's
or Deelite's module were played, even
though  their  songs  are  10  focken
times  better  than the crap played!!
Of course we have complained, but the
'organisation'-staff won't admit that
they  have  selected the wrong songs.
Deelite and Probe met TV-21(a sort of
game-TV-channel)  and  got  100 disks
each due to the unfair selection from
the staff.  Noone dares to admit that
he  was a part of the musical jury, I
wonder  why..?   Because  cheating is
not  a  good  thing  to  do.   One of
Rage's  members(No,  Abadon&Fajser, I
won't  tell you who!) actually admits
that   both   Probe   and   Deelite's
contributions  were  discarded  since
the  jury  didn't  'like' the persons
behind  them..  I call that cheating,
don't  you?  This is really the WORST
musiccompetition I have ever been to,
and believe me, I have been to many!

         11 P.M. Saturday  

Scandal   again!    The  10  selected
pictures were shown, but Jtf/Exceed's
picture  was  not  shown.  It did not
deserve  to  win, but it surely would
have   reached   the   third   spot!!
Instead the jury chose to show(for an
example  a  dildo  drawn in 3 minutes
and  a  raytraced piccy.  Focken lame
organizers.

            1 A.M Sunday

Cuddley  of Silents is walking around
with  an  Absolute-bottle full of his
own  piss, trying to fool people that
it  is  real alcohol.  Please make up
your  own  mind  if  he's grown up or
not.   I  feel sorry for the guy that
doesn't   see  the  piss  until  he's
tasted it..

            5 A.M. Sunday

Most  of  the  organizers  are  going
home,  so  that  they  don't  have to
clean  the  place  tomorrow.   I feel
sorry  for  the  guys  who  still are
here.


           10 A.M. Sunday

Fuck  the  whole  place.   The lamest
party I have ever been to in my life!

           14 A.M. Sunday

We are at last going home.  One thing
is for sure:  if these persons try to
organize  a  party  again, I will NOT
visit it!



 ¢             SUMMARY:

Good  things:   Always  paper  at the
toilets  Skyraider/Rage  and a guy in
glasses made a splendid job.

Bad things: Lack of (known) people
	    Lack of showers	
	    Lack of food	
	    Lack of action 
	    Lack of organization
