HuK/Perspex

 JD = Jedi/Narcosis
 HD = HuK/Perspex

 JD: Righty-ho, firstly tell us a bit about yourself.

 HK: I'm 17 years old, studying for my A-level exams, which are in a few
     months. When I'm not studying I seem to spend most of my time in front of
     my good old A500 or on the phone to other Perspex members. Apart from that
     I spend my time doing the sort of stuff that most people seem to do.

{
 JD: How did you get into Perspex?

 HK: The easy way. I founded it!

 JD: What is your job in Perspex?

 HK: Leader, musician and mailtrader. I also do other things like coding, but
     I'm not a SERIOUS coder.

 JD: How come you're so God damn talented, huh?

 HK: Errrrrmmm, I didn't know I was! Well, my music's getting better all the
     time, and it's at a "listenable" stage now, but I've still got a long way
     long way to go. Would you like me to do a tune for Deadlock?

     [By all means! Any musicians who would like to do us a tune, don't
 hesitate to contact either me or Motive! - R-9!]

{
 JD: What's your hardware like? (and no "oo-er!" jokes please R-9!)

 HK: Crap. I only got a second drive last month! No hard drive, no AGA, just a
     half meg chip, half meg slow ram A500. I've also got a sound sample, a
     nice loud stereo for playing my music through, and I'm "borrowing" a
     slooooow 2400 modem.

 JD: Do Perspex have any big new productions planned?

 HK: Yup. Innocence will be a music disk with code by Slave of Hypnosis fame,
     GFX by Visual (who used the handle Rob when doing GFX for Hypnosis) and
     music by me. We've also got a few intros and things on the go.

 JD: Hows about a full memberlist of Perspex?

 HK: Okay, here goes!

 JD: What do you do for a living?

 HK: Not a lot. I'm still at school.
{
 JD: What do you do in your spare time?

 HK: I don't seem to have much!

 JD: What sort of music are you into?

 HK: Urrrggghhh!! I hate this question! The only answer I can give is "good"
     music. I don't like music of any specific style, I just like music which
     appeals to me, and I can't think of any way of categorising that! I like
     some funk, rave, jazz, indie, classical, even a bit of mainstream stuff,
     but the only things I never like are opera, heavy metal, and that weird
     20th century so-called "classical" music, it sounds naff!

 JD: What do you think of the UK copy parties?

 HK: I have only been to Digital '93, that was okay, but there aren't enough of
     them.

{
 JD: What do you enjoy most and least about the scene?

 HK: The thing I enjoy most is releasing a new production, knowing that all
     your hard work has finally paid off. If there are any things I don't
     enjoy I stop doing them.

 JD: What do you think of the diskmag scene and what is your favourite diskmag?
     (It had better be Deadlock!)

 HK: The diskmag scene is okay, but too many people decide to do a diskmag
     these days and don't think it all through. They expect support but they
     cannot even support themselves. If nobody supports a diskmag then it
     must be because nobody really wants to see it survive. The best at the
     moment is Upstream, there is too much junk in Grapevine, they should be
     more selective. RAW really sucks! It is worse than The Sun for its
     prejudicial views and arrogant style.

{
 JD: What ever happened to the Perspex diskmag * MiNdWoRkS * ?

 HK: Well, there was no support for it and nobody in the group did much for it
     (with a few exceptions) so we abandoned the idea.

 JD: What would you say is the meaning of life?

 HK: 42?

 JD: Who is your favourite coder, musician and artist? (Not someone in your own
     group)

 HK: Well, right now they are:

     MUSIC - Chorus & Sid/ex-Razor 1911. They have made some GREAT guitar tunes
             recently. We Shave Ass was great, and Go For the Record was
             amazing! Coffee Blues II is my favourite tune on the Amiga.
     ARTIST - Fairfax/Andromeda. Seven Seas is great! The first picture which
              scrolled across the screen amazed me! I don't care if all his
              pictures are the same, so were most of the world's great artists.{
     CODE - I don't know. Being a technically good coder is such a different
            thing to coding something which looks good, so who knows?

 JD: Who are your best mates on the scene?

 HK: All Perspex members are good friends, especially Visual (who I have known
     for years), Slave, Rude Dog, Proteus and Lazzer. Apart from PSX members I
     don't actually know many people too well but ELRiC?/Divine is a good
     mate! I get on well with everyone who I am in touch with, really.

 JD: How would you define McDonald's?

 HK: Bloody expensive for chips and a burger!

 JD: How big was the phone bill?! Have you managed to pay it?

 HK: I think our last one was only £38. I don't pay it, so I'm okay.

{
 JD: Okey dokey, last question. Explain Einstien's theory of relativity. (In
     less than 200 words please.)

 HK: I hate Physics!

 JD: Okay the interview is at an end now so do you have any comments?

 HK: No. Just a question. Can I go now?

 JD: Okay.

 HK: Thanks!

 JD: BIG thanks to HuK/Perspex for doing this silly little interview thingy!

 HK: Bye bye!}
