INTERVIEW WITH TEDRIC / THE SILENTS Interview with Tedric / The Silents Done by James / Balance Tedric was the former of the well-known group Paradise. But now he's in Silents, a group which in the past months have been on retreat. Tedric will also make some comments on this, so read on. (BK = James / Balance) BK: Hi Rolf! How about introducing yourself to the readers? TEDRIC: Hello ladies and gentlemen! I am Tedric of THE SILENTS, at the moment 18 years old and still visiting school. My scene job used to be coding but as I'm working on a game I didn't release anyting for a long time. Besides coding I do some swapping, so if ya wanna contact me see below for my addy. BK: Tell us your scene history (previous groups, handles, etc...). TEDRIC: My scene-life began with founding the group Paradise in which I've been until May 1993, when I joined THE SILENTS. My handle was always TEDRIC and will probably ever be. BK: Did you start on the Amiga or did you own another computer before? TEDRIC: My first computer was an Amstrad CPC but I did nothing but games 'n' basic-programming. I got my first contact to scene when I bought my Amiga in 1989. BK: What equipment do you use? TEDRIC: I use an A500, 1 meg chipmem, 50MB harddisk, 2nd drive, Action Replay, lame 2400 modem, Citizen printer a.s.o. BK: How much time do you use for coding every day? TEDRIC: Depends on how motivated I am. If I enjoy coding on something it's possible that I spend the whole day and night in front of my Amiga but there are also days (even weeks!) where I dont even switch it on. (strange for a coder, isn't it?) BK: How about telling us something about The Silents? TEDRIC: To be honest I'm a little bit upset about the bad organisation and the fact that this group is going down at the moment. Unfortunately this leeds to a lack of motivation to do something for this group and a lot of talented members left TSL therefore. BK: Have you ever tried to paint or compose? TEDRIC: In the very first days of Paradise I did quite a lot of GFX, but this stopped when we got some talented graphicians in our group. Please tell us your favourite... Coder: The Spy/CRC, Hannibal/Lemon. Graphician: RA/Sanity Musician: Bass/No Soul Demo: Anarchy 3D Demo II Group: Melon Dezign BK: Who do you hate most in the scene? TEDRIC: As I don't want to mention any names I'll try to say it more generally: - People who can't behave on parties - People who are self-proud and egoistic BK: Please comment the following words... Ankh: I don't like Kefrens at all (Laxity's coding suxx!) Sorry A1200: Nice machine, but why didn't they improve the blitter'n'copper too? Balance: actually doing one of the best message-n-newz-mag. (Message? -BK) (Yes, messages?!!!? -ed.) Compatibility: It's difficuilt to code compatible if you only own 1 Amiga. Techno: I love it if it's agressive, but please stay away from Pop-techno. When words aren't enough?: Used to be the best group in scene, nowadays a shadow of itself. Maybe if we would have a better organisation we could raise again. BK: How much time do you use with your 'girlie', Amiga, every day? TEDRIC: Didn't we have such a question already? BK: Did we? Nope, the other question was how much time do you use for coding every day... ;-) Anyway, do you have got other interests than the scene? TEDRIC: Yep, I do some soaring on the weekends and I sometimes even like to go to school. BK: Do you have got a girlfriend? If yes, then describe her to us. TEDRIC:Nope, but if someone is interrested in me send a picture and a nice letter: Rolf Alber Reussensteinweg 10 73235 Weilheim Germany NO FAGGOTS! (Now THAT has to be the most original attempt of scoring girls!!!! -ed.) BK: Now you can ask some question from me! TEDRIC: Do you feel guilty for loosing my first interview ???? (I hope so !) BK: Nope, I actually did it on purpose! Hehee... Okay, it was actually disks fault. Isn't that right Wolfie (He loves this nickname!)? (Yes it was and if anyone should object to that, they can come say it to me face to face!!! -ed.) BK: Please tell us what kind is your normal day. TEDRIC: I believe It's somehow same as for everybody. (? -BK) BK: What music do you listen to? TEDRIC: I feel sorry for people who only listen to one form of music, so I try to listen to all styles of music that reach my ears. Of course I also have some preferences that are: Hardcore Rap (Icecube, N.W.A...), Hardcore Techno and Heavy Metal (Iron Maiden, Sepultura) BK: Ok, it's almost over now... It wasn't so terrible or was it? TEDRIC: As I did this interview already once before I got used to it. (Don't loose it again !!!!!!) BK: We can only hope that I don't loose this again... Well, you have now got your opportunity to write some lines of your own will ;-) TEDRIC: First of all thank YOU (Me?! -BK) for giving me the opportunity of telling my points of view. If any of the readers would like to swap hot stuff or tapes they may contact me at the Adress above. Finally greets to my best friends and contacts: Lithium, Killraven, Stearo, Nose ,Raw-Style, Agony, Slam, Trasher, D-Sign, W.O.T.W., Eumel, Dark and all I forgot. - James
