<<<_HUMAN TARGET by Melon Dezign_>>>

Zeque:
Melon Dezign's demo has some nice effects, especially changing
the routines has been made fluent. There are too few routines,
though, and the music and text writer are not very successful.

Chaos:
This demo usually crashes on my Amiga. But if I play a bit with my
Action Replay and switch off the Harddisk, it runs.

I was exspecially surprised by the bad music, because I used to be a
fan of Static. But his newer techno-shit has not the quality of his
brilliant Total Triple Trouble tune.

Having a closer look to the Demo, I have to admit that it really
containt NOTHING. I just restarted it, and, hmmmmm, hmmmmm, (I'm
looking at it again) Ahh! the first effect! the Jelly Cube. Hmmm.
Seen that before, havn't I? OK, this demo contains absolutely nothing
(Except the Dragonball, but I don't think that I can call it a new
idea if I simply put some stars on a circle)

Sound:_shit

Graphics:_none

Effects:_none

Design:_nice

Overall:_Why should I watch a demo that contains absolutely nothing?
Melon should be doing slideshows!

Dr.Jekyll:
Now that is a demo! Humantarget is one of the most successful demos we saw
in 1992. It contains some very cool routines, and many of them were
entirely new at the time. The code in this demo is good in that way that
it is used to create new effects. But we doubt that any of the routines
are really fast. (Why did not all vector-objects run at full framerate?)
The music used is very cool. (We mean COOL, not good/nice/beautiful/etc.
because we normally don't like this sort of music, but in this demo the
design and music match perfectly!) Some words about the design:
Humantarget sure has a special design, but in the textoutput-part they
have overdone it! The plane didn't fit the design very good either.
To make a summary: This is a very good demo, with all a good demo should
contain: Many new routines, mixed together with music, graphics and deZign.

Wayne:
Great Design !! Actually the first demo I saw with such a design in it.
The gfx was okay and the music too , although it was a Tekkno tune.
The coding is not the best , but I think that was not the main thing
of this demo..one of the things they might have coded better is the upwards
compatibility..it does NOT run safely on turboboards or OS2.0 (!!)
The design was great but therefore the coding not and the invention of
the Jelly Vectors alone is not enough.

Laxity:
Despite our ealier disagreements with Melon, I will here try to give as
objective as possible an evaluation of this (techno-)demo.
The code is not disappointing at all, quite nice routines, and it represents, I
guess, a quite good designing ability. You may remember the rubber-jelly-box,
which has been imitated so many times it might confuse one in search for the
original version. But as I recall it, this demo contains the first version with
vertical B-splines. Also, the VEEEEERY (too) wellknown "dragonball" was
represented for the first time in this production, imitated only a few thousand
times.

The graphics are not quite as good as one would expect from Walt, but they
are rather nice designed and they have good relations to the code.

The music is also nice, though not very variated, but I guess this wasn't the
idea with techno in the first place.

Reviewer's comment: "Too much melon, too much melon, too much
melon - smellon!"

Hannibal:
Hier ist another group that has formed their own design. Whether I like it
or not, I will not comment, but quality will never hide. The music is
GRRRRRRRRRRRRREAT, and all the parts are well fitted together, especially
in the start, with the black'n white Melon-logo.

Lone Starr:
Hoa! Very good design, SUBERB music and OK coded routines.
