Zeque:
Now this is a design-demo. Basically only one routine, a lot of
2D-coordinates and a groovy tune. Still a very good demo,
though it does get a bit boring and repetitive towards the end.
A big minus for not working with my A1000 for this one, too.

Chaos:
Why does he demos? He should get himself a
videocamera and make music videos¸ NOTHING is realtime in this prod,
(exept some simple transformations, as he told me). If you like it, watch
MTV, you will get something better.

There is perhaps one way of defending this demo. He just wanted to do
something like a techno video, and he did, but it has nothing to do with a
scene that I want to be part of. If he likes doing teckno videos, he
should stop using amiga and start using video. He will get better results
with less work. He could as well use a table tennis ball to play soccer.
It's possible, but stupid (except for some silly situations)

I don't have to say something about compatibility, Skid Row said everything
that has to be said about this subject....

If this is the state of the art, I should start looking for another
scene.

By the way, if you think that it is a new idea to use the shadow of dancers
in a demo, then take a look at the Deformations demo from Deform, It was
released at a copy party in Warschau/Poland in spring '92 and won the
competition. Musashi (the coder) combined the animation with real code,
and using a nice music sample he gained a much better effect. Well, who is
interested in polnish demos...

Graphics: one nice small piccy

Sound: Techno sucks.

Design: Flashy Techno shit

Effects: none

Overall: Dpaint Animation. I prefer Tobias Richter.

Wayne:
The only thing I like at this demo is the idea.I hate Tekkno so I will
not say anything further about the music , I just accept it.The coding
is nice and it shows that 2D-Vectors are not out.I do not know why it does
not run on machines with 1MB/2MB Chipmem or turboboards.Wayfarer was
completely running on that configuration....maybe Lone Starr was drunken
as he coded the demo 8-). That this demo is a bad example for compatibility
is obvious: Look at the fix version by Skid Row.

Dr.Jekyll:
Is this a demo? That was the question we asked ourselves when we saw this
production. Well, is it? We are still not sure. But all right, let's pretend
it is. Again the demo is built on ONE routine. This is typical for Spaceballs.
They make a production which looks great on the big-screen, and try to satisfy
the big crowds. This time I think they succeeded. S.O.T.A. contains
TECHNO-music (or should we say pseudo-techno? It sounds terrible, but the
timing is good!), and an animation to go with it. And that's all. We don't
like it as a demo. A positive thing though was the picture in the beginning,
which was of a high quality.

Laxity:
Hmmmm... Yes, again hmmm... You see, I must admit, I cannot see why everybody
wants to commit suicide when they see this demo?! Okay, it looks nice with
those smellow-jellow freaks just a-pumpin' away, but... Ahh, come on! THAT
nice?!?

Actually, the only part I like is the stroboscopic end, especially the
"PHEW!"-logo. Well, okay, the box is also nice, though a little slow perhaps.
No, Mr. Lonestarrrrrrr, you cannot convince me that a bunch of jumpin' zombies
make a winnerdemo. Especially if the music is as average as in this demo.
Noooo! Timing and ideas are the only elements which are not included among
drawbacks.

Reviewer's comment: "Is that it?!?!!"

Hannibal:
Well, well. What is to say about this. OFCOZ I don't like this one, because
of what happened at The Party II, but it is obviously quite nice. I don't
know, because I haven't seen it since The Party II, because it only loads in
$C0-ram. I really hope that they have fixed this and spread a new version.
Well, I can speak of what I remember. The musicvideo-idea is seen before
(Rebels - Coma), but never been done this successfully. The music is nice,
the code and the graphics fits in. The filled vectorcube is nice, although
it is precalculated(Can that be true??? One of my friends told me!). The
animated ladies is a great idea, but if he is doing a new version, he should
z-rotate and/or zoom them. That could be done without much coding, I guess.

Saviour/Complex:
Cool design and a new idea.. and good winning
tactics you have Spaceballs! Just the kinda demo that would
win a party and nothing less it did.. Congratulations
