Partyreport from the TLH party. TLH PARTY partyreport Written by Lex / NOVA I heard that TLH was going to organize a party in Lidkoping in Sweden. Let me tell you that Lidkoping lies about 150 kilometers northeast of Gothenburg, and It's quite strange to go there if you don't have a car. Anyway, the party seemed to be very good organized, since there was room for atleast 500 persons, the price in the demo-competition were a Atari Falcon (!!!), there were a powerfull hi-fi-equipment, lots of showers, there were pizza-places open until 02:00 and a cinema showing the once new "Patriots". Once I got there there seemed to be no enterance-fee, because there were noone at the enterance that checked if any un-invited person come. I walked right in and met the guys in our group, and they told me that if you have not payed for the enterance; you'll be thrown out. Hmm... tough. Since there were no person to pay, I finally searched for the one to pay the entrance-fee (You may think that I was a chicken, but I did not wanted to be thrown out by a almost 2 meters tall body-builder). I finally met the guy to pay, and I got a piece of paper to write my handle and an unimportant number. Not really a smart system....eh? I was surprised when them told me that only 200 persons had been shown up. A well oraganized party like this should have been bigger. The main reason was probably that they never released any party-invitation, only an ASCII file on some BBS's. Another reason may be that there were 30% Atari guys, yep! You're right It really smelled awfull.... The party-organizers lost about 3000 SEK. To accomplish the big loss of money they lowered the prices A LOT.... In the middle of the night they organized a rave called "Rave for the Pizza", they had really nice light and visual-effects, to bad that noone raved. Finally the competition started and everyone gathered in a big hall with a about 4 × 3 metres screen. It really sucked that Amiga-guys and Atari music contributed in the same music-competition. In the demo-comp. Supplex contributed with an BBS-intro, and Shining with an 2 month old demo entitled "Soo booring". However, it was a real shame that Atari won, but it was a hell of a techno-tune. The results: Demo-comp.: OMEGA (Atari) Gfx-comp.:Iridon/SHINING
