Interview with  BUSTMAN of CRUSADERS
carried out by  MYSTIK of ANARCHY
Date questions answered : 08/08/91

M : OK,I think I'd better start with some introductions...
    So... what  is your  real name  and how old are you?? Please describe
    yourself.... hehe....
B : My real name  is Trond and  I am  18 years old. If  you  want  me  to 
    describe myself  exactly, forget it.  But I  am kind  of messy  and I 
    usually fuck up a lot of things. 

M : What is your hardware??
B : An A500 with 2 MB ram, a 20 MB harddisk,a monitor, an extra diskdrive
    and a  US ROBOTICS Courier HST Dual Standard  w/V32bis and ASL modem.
    (So you just bought a modem? - Mystik)

M : We all know  that  you are  a member of Crusaders, but  how  did  you
    become a member (and when) ??  
B : How? Well, I  guess  I  got in  because Crusaders needed a new artist
    I spotted an  ad  saying  this, back in  the beginning of 1990, and I
    replied upon  this and got  to be a member. As simple as that, really
    
M : Could  you  tell us more about  CRUSADERS, who  they  are, and  their 
    history? (if any?) Who are the members?
B : Well, I am NOT  going  to write  a list of our members. I am just too
    lazy, it is some  damn work. But  generally, Crusaders was found back
    in the end of 1988 (we are old!) and since then the number of members
    have reached around 20. I guess we  are mostly on modem  now, we have
    three boards, not much mail-trading. We  are doing the Eurochart, and
    so on. Guess people know that. That is it!

M : What  groups  were  you  in  before Crusaders (if any?) and  have you 
    ever been under a different pseudonym? How long have you been drawing 
    (in a group)?
B : Well,  I was  actually only in  ONE  group before  Crusaders. But not
    under a  different  pseudonym. Hmm, I think  I have been  drawing for
    about three years now. (This is only on the Amiga.)

M : Who do  you admire  in the  graphics  world? ( For BOTH  quantity and
    quality)  Why do  you admire  them in particular? What  is that  they
    have done to impress you? List YOUR top 'faves'....
B : I only  admire two guys, one of them  being Uno/Scoopex and the other
    one  Slash/Flash Production. They  have  excellent quality and I have
    nothing  against their  quantity  either. They  are simply  ace, they
    impress me again and again with new pieces of art. Well, a list of my
    top faves? Heh, that  would  be  a list of those  two above. But both
    are just as good, so it would be impossible to rank them.

M : How do  you  start a piece of  work that you do? (pictures AND logos)
B : Well, concerning both pictures and logos, I always start with drawing
    the  major  edges. I  do  this mainly because I  want to see  how the 
    picture or logo  will look  at once. And anyway, if you start drawing 
    detailed  straight on the spot  without a sketch, you  will never get 
    what you  originally had in mindex

M : Have you ever done any commercial work? Or are you still  doing work?
    Who have you worked for?
B : No, not yet. Well, I am currently doing some graphics for a game, but
    I am not sure if  it  will be  released commercial or PD. No business
    firms are involved.

M : You obviously like the work that you do, otherwise you would stop.But
    have there ever been times when you've  thought to yourself "Now, why
    the fuck  do  I waste  so  much of  my time  doing this  shit??!" ???
    Tell us about it/those.....
B : Yes, ofcourse there  have  been such events in my life too. Once in a
    while, when I am not finished with graphics that outght to and should
    be finished  a long time ago, I  feel exactly as you stated. You just
    hate graphics, because  of the time  pressure. I try to relax if this
    happens, it  is impossible  to do decent work when you  are in such a
    mood.

M : What have Crusaders planned for release in the next few months? 
    (If anything...)
B : Not much. Only the Eurochart. But you never know...

M : Ermmm, this  is very hard, so I'll 'side-track' a bi...Have you got a
    girlfriend at all???? Tell us more........sorry for the PERSONALS!!!!
B : No. I have not got a girl... but I do not see that as a massive loss.
    I can manage on my own, hihi.

M : Is there  anyone  you  HATE  in the scene, be he/she(?) an artist, or
    anyone.(That you'd like to tell them here)...........hehehehehe......
    What a trouble-maker.....!!!
B : No, actually I do  not hate  anybody at  all. I try to be friendly to
    everybody, so I do not think I have any enemies at all. Nevertheless,
    if I did hate somebody, it would be  pretty stupid bragging about it.
    In my opinion,the jerk is the one spreading the dirt, not the victim.
    Some guys just can not keep their big mouth shut.

M : Was  there  more  to you as why Dr.Awesome  quit the scene other than 
    commercial work? Will YOU miss him?
B : I am sure Dr.Awesome left for his own reasons, but I  would believe I
    know most of them. As he said himself once,he was getting too old for
    this shit. Well, as  Dr.Awesome  went away, we DID  get a lot of more
    work to do with the Eurochart. But, well, yes, I  actually  miss him.
    Sob. He is a real legend now, in my eyes.

M : Do  you  ever  get fed up with  doing  the Eurochart? What  kind of a
    feedback do you get from it? (Good and bad!)
B : Well, it  happens. Feedback?  Ok, sometimes  I see people complaining
    about the Eurochart,the Euronews and so on, but generally most people
    like it very well. And I hope  this will  continue, or else  we would
    probably stop it. We get  huge dozes  of responses, and  we  are glad
    we are popular.

M : OK then, what is your favourite demo and group?? Why?
B : Demo  should  be 'Enigma' by  Phenomena.  Group?  Phenomena,  I guess
    Why? When  coming  to  demos, they are the perfect team. This is also
    why they are my favourite group.

M : Please list your favourite coders and musicians....
B : Hmm, coders, no... I  do  not know shit about coding. Musician should
    be  Tip/Phenomena,  Fleshbrain/Crusaders,  Heatbeat/Rebels... well, I
    like most musicians around, actually.
    
M : I think  this  should be the end because  I have run out of things to
    ask....hehe....So...did  you  want  to  say  anything to finish  this
    interview off?? Ask me anything!?? What??
B : Hmm, I  want to say  hello to everybody  reading. Keep  on voting for
