@t2@f11@cInterviewed by Judge Drokk

@f00@t4Drokk - Hello Corny!

@t8Corny - Hello Drokk!

@t4Drokk - Is this the first time you've been interviewed for a disk
magazine. If it isn't, who interviewed you before?

@t8Corny  -  I've been interviewed for lotsa (?) small diskmags.  I don't
even remember their names.

@t4Drokk - Well, I think the best place to start this interview is to
give people a clear picture of exactly WHO you are, so tell me.. just
who are you!?!

@t8Corny - Gee.  Who am I?
@#

@t5,11

@\05,00@t8 I'm Corny! I'm a member of Shining - actually the ONLY norwegian
member of Shining! I'm 18.5+ years old! I live in Oslo! In Norway!
Hm....   I'm  a  swapper!   I'm  a  graphician!   I'm cool....  eh....
That's me!

@t4Drokk - Well, that put us all right in the picture! The reason I
asked this question is because you haven't always been Corny have you?
You've been someone else, and with several other groups. If you know
what I'm talking about can you tell me a little about it and the
reason behind these group and identity changes?

@t8Corny - Well.(Argh! Why do we always have to start our sentences with
"well"?) Infact I have always been corny, but not Corny! (Did you get
it?) It all started in the end of 1987 when I got my Amiga. It was a
cold day, and the stars were sh.... Anyway, I started to call myself
Ollie (because someone called me that on a trip to Austria I had some
time before), and I made some really LAME packs in 1988 when I got my
first contact. Ok. I think I joined a finish group called Sex inc,
but I can't remember how many days I was in. I think the group died
the same day.... almost. Me and my friend formed a group called
Oversize. I changed my name to Iceman (because I was fed up of Ollie,
and because I thought Iceman was cool) and sometime later we joined a

@\05,00@t8german group called Asia inc. In 1989 we left them. At this moment,
I had started making packs which after a while ended up as my loooong
pack-serie called "Pack of Snack!" I changed my name to Joker (Iceman
was too lame, and I really adored the char- acter from the Batman
movie), and formed Phobia! But friendship was an unknown word, so
Phobia died in 1990 after a long struggle for life. I joined Network
because I had some very good friends in there. I had a very nice time
too, but in 1991 they got too lazy. Nothing was released, so I left.
(I also ended my "Pack of Snack"-serie here, plus a new serie I just
had started, called "Pack Ease.") Well. Then I changed name to Corny
(because everybody seemed to have started calling themselves Joker,
and I thought it was a pretty boring name. The idea of Corny came
while my girl and I was watching an english movie on TV. It was a guy
in the movie who was a bit weird, and suddenly my girlie said: "He
was corny!", and I loved the name from the very beginning! I
screamed: "THAT'LL BE MY NEW NAME!!!!") and joined Vision! After a
while, Vision Norway died (they're reborn now!), so I joined Silents
Norway. Due to lotsa schoolwork and no special time left for my
Amiga, I wasn't able to do much graphics, so I was actually kicked (!)
in the end of 1991! (Some weeks later, Silents Norway died.... They
are also reborn now....) I had a very good friend in Sweden called
Mike, so I joined his WONDERFUL group called Shining!!!! So....
That's where I am today! And I LOVE it!! Hey - that's it!

@t5,11

@\05,00@t4Drokk - Do you have any bad feelings towards any of your past groups,
or are they all just the same friends as they were before you parted
from them?

@t8Corny - Hm.... Maybe.... I do have some bad feelings towards some
guys from Phobia who I could say wasn't too co-operative. I'd also
mention a guy from TSL Norway who wasn't so understaning that I would
have expected. But I really don't care. I don't even think they have
their Amigas anymore either. So FUCK YOU!!!! (Just a joke!)

@t4Drokk - Not many people know you're a pretty neat artist as well as a
great mail trader (flattery gets me everywhere). Why do you think
that you haven't made a big name for yourself as an artist yet? Lack
of opportunity perhaps?

@t8Corny  - First of all; I am a very busy guy.  I am a swapper, I have a
girlfriend and I am doing lotsa other things too, like for example
handdrawing. I get some drawingjobs from time to time. That takes
time! And as you say, it hasn't been very much opportunities either.
When I paint something big, I always like to know if it will be
released or not. I hate to work hard on something, and not get the
opportunity to release it. It's good for the practice, but.... it's
fucking irritating!! By the way, you're a quite great mailtrader too!
@#

@t5,11

@\05,00@t4Drokk - Is Shining the group that will make you into a famous artist
do you think? Are you working on any graphics for a forthcoming
production from Shining, IS there a forthcoming production from
Shining, and if there is can you tell us anything about it?

@t8Corny - Yeah. I have planned to make myself a bit more famous in
Shining! There will be lotsa releases in the nearest future. We just
released our first issue of our GREAT mag called PlayByte, so I think
that will need some graphics in the future. We will also release
other things, but I wont comment it here (HAHA! IT'S A SECRET!!).
Just NOW (May-92) I'm not working on anything special. It's close to
my final exams. (Nah. They wont steal much time....) And because of
the HOT summer, I'd rather enjoy the sun instead. But I'm of course
NOT forgetting my beloved Amiga! I'll soon start to work again!

@t4Drokk - Well personaly I think that you'll get famous from just that
great piece of clipart in the last issue of Stolen Data. But thats
beside the point. Do you find that being a pretty active mailtrader
holds back your graphics in any way, and stop you devoting as much
time as you might like towards pixeling?
@#

@t5,11

@\05,00@t8Corny - Yes, I think so. When you are a mailtrader, you get very much
new stuff. Copying disks, writing letters and looking at the stuff
(and answering interviews(!)) takes time. And as mentioned, I can't
forget my girlfriend and my other friends. So I usually use the night
for painting graphics. Then I am free to do anything I want.

@t4Drokk - Which is your first love: graphics or mailtrading? If you
only had time for one, which would it be?

@t8Corny - Mailtrading! I have VERY many friends in the scene, and it
would be very hard to say goodbye to all of them. Anyway - the
situation you describe in your question, is almost an actual situation
TODAY. And mailtrading goes before graphics!

@t4Drokk - Well, what a nice and honest guy you are! Well, as I've had
such a good time asking you all these revealing questions I'm going to
let you reverse roles for this final question, because I want you to
ask it to me. Go on, anything you like, I'm not shy... and while
were at it, this could be an all time first for disk magazines you
know!

@t8Corny - How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could
chuck wood? @t2(Ed. Drokk forgot to put his conclusion here, the plonker)
