@t2,04@^@f09@t8@cQUARTZ PARTY REVIEW @t1@f00All these facts are as I saw them or how I was told them by non lame people. It is not a report or detailed explanation of the party just some things that happened or were told me while I was there. Please note I left the party place shortly after the demo competiton. Firstly congratulations to JAZ !! and RANX !! for holding, organising and controling the QTZ PARTY !!! First of all the party place ! There were as I saw it , suppose to be 3500 feet of area !! Not all of this was here although the party area was a long rifle shooting range place so there was alot of room!! There were no power cuts except one while a thunderstorm was happening (quick get that hard drive!!). It only lasted a @^ few seconds but did however fuck up the music competition (see later). The conference/bar/pool room was smart. Somewhere quiet where you could chat sensibly to guys you wanted to chat to..... The party was a little lacking in cool guys. Only realy LSD were there and of course QZ! Paradroid (hi ya!) of Anarchy was there as well to release his demo. Mub, Deadbeat, Pazza, Fish (cool chat!), Watchman and a fw other guys were there from LSD. Maybe the other northern guys did not want to travel 6 hrs !!?? The competitions... The GFX one was won by Elwood of Delicious Designs, Fish of LSD came second. I agree with FISH when he told me he did not agree with the results. Yes ELWOODs picture may @#@t2,04@^have been truly excellent but the guys from Delicious were not there so why the fuck did QZ let him win. If you do not get a look at FISH entry have a look at the lady on GV11. His graphics have really come on since his early logos on the DOX DISX! He is one of the leading Pic drawers on the U.K. The music competition was disrupted by a power cut and because it was a case of having 16 entries it was abit boring. The winner was SNARE although I think it was more a case of 'I WILL VOTE FOR MY MATE' rather than a unbiased deserving vote system. The demo comp was won by Paradroid with his excellent demo DEJA VU. The demo showed us nothing new except for a textured circle routine and some nice fractals. He did have all the complex vectors as well but they are getting all very boring. QZ came second and Third with demos by Ranx and Majic @^Mushroom. Is it fair that one group gets two prizes ? I think not ! Watchman had his leg tied to the table while he was asleep. He was working on a graphic (a cartoon gfx) which was looking great ! Hyglide (spelling??) got completed SHIT FACED and spewed lots of times all over the place. Microlite ruined the atmosphere on Saturday night by sticking stickers all over the indoor bowling surface floor and pissed off JAZ. .. the guys had stole lots of my stickers. Sorry for the mess guys !! MUB/LSD was arrested after hitting some guy who was pushing him about in a club. Master of Puppets/PLASMA got his df1 pinched and some guy pinched an action replay as well. Modem cables and others were also taken from guys. LSD released GV11 and a music disk called TOTAL KAOS (yet more rave music !) SHAGRATT is working on a new concept in Module @#@t2,04@^playing and will be able to have 12+ hours of music on one disk !!! LSDs PAZZA still looks like our holy father. Has he returned to deliver us from evil. Is it the second coming ? LSD have the code for a party slideshow and will release it at DIGITAL and not QZ. Dual Crew released MESSAGE BOX 4. No code changes. Clairvoyant/DC attened. A couple of german digital artists attended (hi ya). Destiny were still working on Satanic rites when I left. Gallon containers of CIDER were being sold for 3 quid 50 pence. Ghost/DIMENSION X kept out of my way cause he would have got kicked if he did not. Well there was lots more happening but not enough to talk about. @t3BOB/Stolen Data Team @@
