@^@f00@t1 Wayfarer/Spaceballs @t4 Some time ago, in the Mag RAW, I saw an interwiev with a coder from Spaceballs. He said that they were doing a demo with one big routine. The moment I read that, I immediately cried aaarrrgg VECTORWORLD!!! Some time later on, I found out that I was absolutely right. Before I continue, I must admit, that Vector World demos are NOT my favourites. I don't know why, but the famous demos from Alcatraz and Thomas Landsburg really bores me. Still, as I had to review Wayfarer I watched the 3 vector movies. The first movie was a combination of "normal" graphics and vector graphics. The idea was good, but I don't think it worked that well. Perhaps the pictures should have been bigger, or it should have been another gfx style. The Fighter plane part was made with some very good @^camera angles (something I miss in many vector worlds), but the font didn't really fit in. That would make the aeroplane simulation better. The third and final movie is my favorite - it's weird, but it's something new. It's an easy extra too add to your vectorworld, but it looks quite funny. I won't mention the endpart, because it really stinks (yrdg!). The code is alright. Though the vector world seems pretty simple, I think that it's quite fast. There's really no knew ideas, except for the weird world. Graphics is quite good, but the design is not very good. @ta--------------- Ratings -------------- Coding: 78% Graphics: 70% Music: 50% Idea: 60% Design: 30% Overall: 70% --------------- Ratings --------------
