Eclipse '92 Party
          ===================

Yo Dudes!.
It's Green-Beret from Submission  Ire-
land with a full  Party-Report of Ire-
lands  first  Amiga party  which  took
place  on  30th  August 1992. Ok let's
start with the action.The  pardey took
place in  Dublin's  Royal Dublin Hotel
at 12:00.Pardey organisers were Green-
BeretGSBS,GazzerGEclipse,JayGEclipse ,
HokumGEclipse N PolarisGEclipse. Heres
the idea behind the party.EclipseGSub-
mission Ireland said after heading  to
the Quartz pardey in the uk. If  every
other country can have one, why  can't
we ? SO we did and then came the orga-
nising , well  pissups  as  they  were
known. Anyway, I'm  probably  sounding
really boring  at  the moment as  it's
yet again a dull Saturday morning. The
response to the party was greater than
expected with  84 people arriving  and
most of them  took  part in the party.

Cubic  Designs,all lame groups  by in-
ternational standards but at  least we
are making an  effort. Our productions
may  look  as if they are 3 years  old
but we have to start somewhere. Little
by little,the Irish  scene is  getting
better and better. Heres a run-down of
what happened at the pardey. AT  16:00
the  comps  started  and  surprisingly
enough the response  was  cool,  there
were 16 entries in the musak  competi-
tion,all the tunes  were of very  good
quality. Here were the guyz who enter-
ed the competition.CreedGEclipse.Puni-
sherGIND, JokerGMDMA, The BOD N  Tekk-
noidGCubic Designs. 
Here were the winners:

         2:CreedGEclipse

Sorry I can't remember  the  names  of
the tunes. However if anyone is inter-
ested Gazzer assembled a musak disk of
the entries which took up 3 disks  and
which is available from most BBS's  or
writing to myself. Ok lets proceed  to
the gfx comp.All entries again,equally
all of a cool standard. Here were  the
entrants: Creed,AXIL,DionysisGEclipseN
PunisherGIND !
Here were the winners:

           2:DionysisGEclipse

Ok  the demo comp  was pretty lame  by
all standards with only 2 entries.They
were from Quadriga N MDMA.

               1:QUADRIGA
               2:MDMA

And of course last but not  least  the
Kick Off competition which was  one by
HighlanderGSymbiosis.

All you dudes  reading  this  probably
say, what a lame party, well it's just
to give you an idea  that there  is  a
growing  scene in Ireland and  the ta-
lent  is there, it is  just  that  the
dudes are too lazy. The musak competi-
tion was cool thanx to Mista Fantastic
and  Rowley who brought  in  some cool
sound gear@a 2kW PGA system and mixers
and cd players.  We  blasted the tunes
around  the  hotel  and  rattled   the
mirrors.The pardey organisational wise
was far from perfect as myself and the
other  organisers  got  totally pissed
and  things  went  out of control. But
here's a first for an Irish BBS,we had
2  online modems there HST's download-
ing 0  day  old  stuff  from  the  USA
compliments of ATNT. Here were some of
the dudes that travelled  a  long  way
300km's to make it there  DADGQuadriga
from cork,WombleGTriad,JokerGMDMA  etc
and also 5 dudes  from  Belfast  Higgy
etc  from QUadriga. As  with  a  usual
pardey,even  if the quality of gfxGmu-
sakGdemos etc was crap, at  least  you
can catually  meet  the people  behing
the codeGgfx etc and that was cool.The
Irish scene is going from strength  to
strength,it takes time like everything
else. Forbidden  Planet  BBS,Ireland's
first  is  slowly  getting  there with
more and  more  international  callers
and most Irish dudes are now 9600G14.4
which is  a welcome change.  Irelands
next pardey will be called the  fusion
Zone which will take place on Saturday
19th of December.It will be  organised
by myself  Green-beretGSubmission.  As
usual it will feature some cool  sound
equipment and organisimg. Hopefully by
then,more groups will decide  to  take
part and enter the various  comps  and
lead to a better scene.Ok guyz,this is
