        ³¼Interview with Thomas Landspurg¼

³TS:² Can you introduce youself?

³TL:¹ Once again! Well, I'm 24 years old, I have finished my studies and I'm
working. I'm using an Amiga since 3 years.

³TS:² Why have you chosen the Amiga?

³TL:¹ At the time, having regards to his quality and its price, the Amiga has been
and is still the best computer.

³TS:² What is your configuration? Is it enough for you?

³TL:¹ I have an A500 with 2 drives, a 100 Mb hard disk and 3 Mb of RAM. It's
enough for me but I would like the Christmas father will bring me a little
more Chip-Ram and an accelerative card.
³TS:² Are you working on other computers?

³TL:¹ For my job, I'm also working on PC and work stations.

³TS:² What languages do you know?

³TL:¹ Well...a few ones. In bulk, differents assembler, C, Pascal, Ada, PLM and
of course that good old Basic.

³TS:² To your mind, which one is the best for demos, utils, and games?

³TL:¹ For demo, it is abviously the assembler, but it is possible to do very nice
    things with C or Basic.
For utils, C is obviously the king, the assembler is not a good advice, and
the GFA-Basic allows to make very quickly some very specific utils.
For games, it is the same as for demos. But it is possible to realise
games with C or Basic: some adventure games, but also some action games.

³TS:² Do you think groups have some privileges that independants can't have?

³TL:¹ Not especially. They have maybe access to the new demos quickly because of
the "boards", but except this, I don't see a lot of interest.

³TS:² We all know that you have won the Cryptoburners party. Have you
participated for the price or to show the capacities of the Amiga?

³TL:¹ For these two things, but also because I wanted my demo to be well
    ditributed.

³TS:² What do you think about demo-party?

³TL:¹ They can be interesting, but in small quantities.

³TS:² According to you, what makes a good demo-party?

³TL:¹ There must be animation, not only some tables with Amigas on. A hudge
screen with presentation of demo on it, but also demos from other computers
    for exemple.
We can also imagine other things: why not doing a hudge plan of the party
with the position of each person or groups.

³TS:² Can tell us what were the demos you already made?

³TL:¹ With pleasure, especially because they are not a lot:
-Dream pack, with vctorballs, the PoiPoi, Don't Panic and Vector, Again.
   -Trip to Mars
   -Virtual World
All of them are 3D demos, except the PoiPoi.

³TS:² Which is your favorite one? Which was the most difficult to finish?

³TL:¹ I prefer the PoiPoi because everybody like it. I also think the "Virtual
    World" is quite well done.
The most difficult to finish was the last one, Virtual World. 7 months of
    development.

³TS:² Do you think that the Amiga has still a nice future?

³TL:¹ Yes, I think the Amiga still has a nice future because at the time there is
no computer to take his place.

³TS:² What are your favorite groups and the promising ones?

³TL:¹ My favorite groups? Well...I like a lot the work of Phenomena,
Cryptoburners and Rebels. PMC and Silents have recently done super demos.

³TS:² After a long preparation for your demo, do you relax yourself (maybe a girl
    friend...)?

³TL:¹ Of course, but I will not talk about my private life.

³TS:² Have you some greetings to say to end this interview?
³TL:¹ Well, I have not special greetings to say. I only say hello to all the
    guys I know.
