³Interview with Caesar/Palace.

³I¹: Your name,group and funktion ?

³C²:   Well,  my handle is Caesar and I'm
in  Palace,  where  I've been since the
very  start.  I'm mainly a coder, but I
also do some HST & mail-trading.

³I¹:  Which other groups have you been in
and for how long time have you had your
Amiga ?

³C²:   I've  been  in  some looser groups
like Wiz and Cycron.  I think that I've
also  so  been  in  Dexion  for a short
while.   I've  had  my Amiga, for about
4.5   years   (the  first  one  is  all
trashed, so I bought a new one).
                                                        
³I¹: Have you had any other computers?

³C²:   Yeps, my father bought a ZX-81 for
about  10  years ago , which I played a
little  with.   Later  I got a C64, and
then the Amiga...
                                     
³I¹: When did you start coding ?        

³C²:   I  did  some low-quality-coding on
the  C64.   I  started Amiga-coding, as
soon  as  I  got  it, but it wasn't too
good  either.   I  think,  I started to
code for real for about 2.5 years ago.
                                     
³I¹: What is your aim as a coder ?      

³C²:   Hmmmm...I can't say that my aim is
to  be the best, 'coz I've reached that
point already..HE HE !!....

Eh,well no,I guess,my aim is to make as
fast  routines  as possible and to show
that assembler is the ONLY language (no
shitty  AMOS,C  or  whatever!).  I also
want  to  show  that ROM isn't good for
anything!!.
                                      
³I¹:   You  made Fractals Generator v1.0.
Will you make an update ?

³C²:   Guess  so,  when  I  get the time.
I've made it faster already, but I have
to  get some more ideas, landscapes for
instance.     Fractals   itself   isn't
interesting no more.
                                      
³I¹:  Tell a bit about coming productions
from Palace ?

³C²:    At   the   moment  I'm  coding  a
musicdisk  with  noise  from  Emax, but
it'll  take a while , 'coz I still need
gfx,  etc.   I also suppose (and hope!)
that  the  rest  of Palace will release
some  abnormal  cool demos..  Time will
show !
                                      
³I¹:   You  have  a modem, so what do you
think  when  people  means  that modems
destroys  the scene.  Do you think that
modems destroys the scene ?

³C²:   Nah,it  depends on how you use it.
If  you  spend all day up/down loading,
without  checking  the stuff, it's REAL
lame, but if you only use it sometimes,
to  get  some hot warez, chatting, etc,
it's OK !.  Modems are great to keep in
touch   with  your  group+contacts.   A
modem should only be a tool,not a life.
                                     
³I¹:   How  important  is friendship with
your contacts for you ?

³C²:   It's  quite important...Without it
you would become a social outcast.  For
the  same  reason,  I  don't  swap with
dudes, who don't write cool letters.
³I¹:   What do you think about the danish
scene  ?

³C²:   It's  getting  lamer all the time!
There's  very few real good groups left
(like  Rebels,  Silents  and  Palace of
course!).   Every  day you see new lame
groups  popping  up  and  you know that
they  will die within 6 months.  A very
positiv thing about the danish scene is
that  it's  a friendship -first- scene.
But  some  competition would be healthy
for our scene I think....
                                     
³I¹:     What's    your   opinion   about
copyparties  and  will  Palace  make  a
party ?

³C²:   I  only  live 100% at copy-parties
(and parties in general !!).  Some guys
from  our  swedish division are talking
about  making  a  party  in  '92, but I
don't  know anything specifict about it
yet.

³I¹: Please state your favourite:         

³C²:   (oh  no!-I  really  dislike  these
kinds of questions..  Some dudes always
gets angry...)
                            
Groups:Quartex,Phenomena and Anarchy   
Coders:Azatoth,Tec,etc.there are too   
       many.                                
Boards:Datastorm,Inner Circle
       +all Palace boards.                         
Gfx's:Mithrandir,Uno and Dark.         
Musicians:Tip,4mat and Static.         
Demos:Andromeda-decaying Paradise and  
      PMC Porsgrunn demo.                  
Games:Monkey island,S.A Europe,Warlords
Mags:Ice,Zine and MC Disk.             
                                       
³I¹: I know that you finished high school
  last year.What are you doing now?

³C²:   I'm  going to a school of computer
science, january'92.Until then I'm just
coding, phreaking and having fun.
                                       
³I¹:  Ok that was the end.Now you can say
whatever you want to say..

³C²:Hmmm...I  think,  I'll  tell  you how
much  I  hate CDTV:  it's so lame...  a
harddisk  is much faster, and you can't
write  to a CD.CDTV is only invented by
the  software-companies  to  make 100 %
copy-protected  games!  Ok, you can use
it  as a "normal" CD (with lousy sound!
Only  4xoversampling!   )  with  stupid
pictures  to  the  music,  but isn't it
much  better,  cheaper  and  easier  to
watch MTV ?

Why  didn't  Commodore use DAT ?  -it's
faster,  you  can  write  it and it can
store more.

CDTV ? - NEVER !!
