Shortcut impressums from Mekka & Symposium 2001 by Altruist/Tulou and Browallia/Nukleus First, we bought a car, then we drove to Germany. But lets slow down and take it from the beginning. Getting there: ============== Altruist put a tape with 'die ärzte' and we took our first steps towards M&S. 3 hours of traffic overload for the starting 60 km. Great start indeed. What a luck that Alt had some more of 'die ärzte' =) In South part of Sweden, its not only stormy weather. its snowish! So we had to rearrange our trip when we miss the ferry. Altruist and Browallia squeezed there after out all awakeness to manage the trip through Denmark instead. We arrived 5 am to the party place, red glooming eyes, and bodies dried out of enough sleep. Some people already drinking beer at the staircase. We picked a parking- lot in a residential area some blocks away and counted sheepssszZZ until opening time. At M&S: ======= Getting inside, after some hours, everyone was thrown out again. After half an hour we could get inside again, but now paying the entrance :-) Others next to our corner beside bigscreen are Traktor and Nature. Later that evening, a true opening cermony a la Olympic Games with staff seperated as teams like info crew, compo crew.. For fulfilling this purpose, Steeler took the torch and a fancy fire-routine was lit on screen. Innovative indeed. Other kind of entertainment was ofcoz when the Synthpop group Welle: Erdball held a concert. Bellow stage, people freaked out and rocked. And other music played, the inofficial title song at M&S, between schedule, during compos and during other timesequences was the song 'Eclipse' from Apoptygma Berzerk. As usual, the finnish guys were outside with MFX as the landlords of beers and vodka. For them, aswell as for Haujobb, night and day doesnt seem to matter, the latter since going round in white bathrobes all the time. Welle: Erdball sells their new MCD at M&S. Other merchandises at the entrance were a book entitled 'Hacker tales' and the m&s partytshirt. Uprough shows preview of the demo 'April in Paris'. Traktor shows preview of the demo 'Hetero Sapiens' Nature does not show any preview of the intro ...#? Chip/Nature and Chip/Kangaroo have a meet- ing point at infodesk according to a loud- speaker announcement. Other more obscene stuff, is when Uprough's private life on the local hotel in Falling Bostel. (definetly nothing for any diskmag galleries) The German scenereporter Zito borrows Altruist computer and knocking desperatly over the keyboard. Such a herectic tipping pressure and speed you have when you are in love and high rate of emotional inspiration. Since Zito already has a girlfriend, Browallia consider that he wasnt writing love letters to all 37 girls beeing at M&S. Instead, he is a good writer! "Who wants to be a Sceneonaire?" is a success on stage and Steeler sure has dicke Eier for such an entertainment. The Questions are of various flavours like "Pick an answer!" and "What function has the Blitter in an Amiga?". The group Traktor is working in an almost puke-able rythmus with their demo. Which made it hard for Browallia who wasnt very active to establish further contact with them. They manage it before deadline but Altruist noticed that Pumba/Traktor sleeps through all compos. With cascading applause, Potion wins the introcompo with 'Gift'. Nature is waiting with the follower 'Grid 2' for next year. At the Amiga democompo it was 20 entries. TWENTY ENTRIES. Thats nothing you just left uncomment. Instead here are some sentences bout it: During the compo, Polacks wading through a sea of beercans with a redwhite banner. What a release party , 20 entries! yiihaa! ok, guess enough is said about the demos. After all activities,Altruist and Browallia invites to a car-party with PEZ n BEER. In that car Browallia also made experience for the sleeping hours. Home trip: ========== After Altruist consume his probably 7th Curry Wurst we are leaving F-ng Bostel. This time we succeed to sadle our Volvo '87 on the ferry. Browallia is freaked out when hearing the price and drives a couple of extra circles on the quay. We take a photo of a Lobby drivers mega stomage, apparantly a proud part of an epicentric fortune! After that Altruist recognice that onboard they have an a4000 running Scala with some safety program. Starring at that for a while we decide getting some sleep in the disco room.
