         Breakpoint 2003
         Bingen, 18-21 April 2003
         by Browallia

This report started around a month before
my plans to visit Bingen when I began
pixling on my contribution. Even if my
mom has told me, that I should double the
time for all my plans (which in fact is a
true sentence for Nukleus aswell), the
picture was finished like 2 hours before I
left to a trainstation. Unfortunately, the
plans for reserving some waggons for demo-
coding freaks didnt work out as it should.
Instead, as the only member of Nukleus
showing up since Balder left to Himalya
for a couple of months I was quite excited
during my trip with Deutsche Bahn.

After taking the minibus to the hill and
paying the entrance of 40 Euros I met
Altruist/Tulou and joined a table with some
Amiga-folks from Tulou, Traktor, Nature,
TBL, Elcrew...

Inside, Breakpoint was cold, outside it was
like a festival.'The Real Party Is Outside'
could be read on some posters and together
with the fire burning outside I could just
agree.

I handed over my graphix contribution but
didnt have a clue about that I should
deliver some prestadiums aswell.
Consequently my picture wasnt shown, and
even when I talked to gizmo/farbrausch who
administrated the contributions, and he
would include it for next show on sunday.
Nope, he didnt, too much to do, was his
excuse. thx pal!

Im not going to list every event from the
schedule, since this can be read somewhere
else. Instead talking about some
impressions.
All kind of competitions at Breakpoint were
influenced of the chilly weather. Nicknames
like Cold Point, Freeze point etc or in the
fastintro compo or the fast graphics compo
with ice-theme. Such a compo as the fast
graphics is a realtime proof about what you
can create in Photoshop in some hours and
with some manipulating tools..
..that these sceners then call themselfs
graphicians!

At the Breakpoint for Amiga, it was quite
rarely with party-releases. As far as I
remember, it was only groups like the music
group mOOdS giving their promo-CD and my
friend Zito who worked hard with party-
edition of Jurassic Pack #12.

Three entries in the Democompetion was'nt
that very much aswell. And the introcompo
was cancelled since Tulou as only group,
working hard with their prod. 'Khold'. Im
quite sure that the Uprough-kids would re-
lease something aswell, if Booger wasnt in
Asia..

Well, I guess that was the end of this
report. Another Breakpoint report from me
can be read in the magazine Azine #4.
