REMEDY 1995 06-08.10 Browallia report ------------------------------------------- The same day as Remedy was held I had a test in english. I put the test on the future and went home instead for start packing my luggage. After coloring my hair, my sister drove me to the party which I attended around friday 15.oo I sat close to bigscreen beside the c64- group Lame Squad (the coder in Logic Probe later on). After a while I started to pixel. I had nearly started when Mac Pudel from the group Beatless dropped by. At 18.oo Sleipner and Nuke came to join me, and we tried to get a computer for Nuke, since he had sold his Amiga. During a short break in the evening, I met Dep/DFX and helped him with his luggage. Around 19 pm I bought a pair of earplugs from Lame Squads for 20 cents and continued with my picture. When Balder later on friday evening came,we decided to move bit backwards in the Remedy hall coz of all <>. We also fixed our banner on wall. Some hours later, we noticed that the Amiga group Rage had hang an poster over our banner saying 'Better red than dead' so we fixed one of our posters over at their corner aswell. The war had begun :-) At around 10.oo next morning, me, Nuke and Sleipner from NLS and Neuron/Evacue^dFX went for getting something to eat. When comming back we got in contact with D-Coy of Giants who was preparing their intro. A funny part in their intro is the zoomer starting out of D-Coys nose. Inside the partyplace again, having a chat with the graphician Neuron, and learning some from his pixel tecniques. After I heard that the Remedy was the headliner in one of the biggest swedish newspaper, so I joined up with a couple from Giants gang for getting it. When comming back I talked some with Zzap/Division by Zero who had a scanner whiched scanned in 16.7 mil Colors with an amazing quality! He asked if I had something to scan which I always have in my pocket :-) In the meantime, Balder was further processing with the c64-demo and it started to look quite nice. For me, I couldnt be any more creative so I watched Desert Dream by Kefrens instead. Around 15.oo that saturday I decided to sleep 15 minutes. Balder woke me up after 25 minutes and realising if I should compete in graphic compo, I must continue. Thanks to the rainy weather the human factory inside me started to work again.. Deadline was 22.oo and 2 minutes after deadline I handed over my contribution. At the entrance I met Louie/Insane and talked about his picture at Assembly '95 which never was shown. I dont remember more about that, but it was strange enough! Inside again me and Nuke went away for a pizza before the pleasure to watch c64 demo compo.. Shortly thereafter it was time for graphic- compo. My best memory here was when showing Nuke's anarchist-picture. I guess I havent heard so many negative/positive reactions after a picture like his :-) Sleipner went ill and went home right there after. Coz of his pale face, he actually succeeded to scare an innocent woman on the subway. Me and Balder went thereafter out for getting some drinks in our frozen bodies. After a while D-coy/Giants came aswell for a drink. There we were, drinking and planning, for the next adventure. And I guess thats a good way to end this Remedy 1995 party-report.
