VISION-ACTIVE-ACES Party report 11 Aug, Prime '90 in Tilburg, Holland The party would start 11 Aug. 1990 at 11 o' clock, so we (006 & Mad Max of DYNAX) went to the railway station at 8 o' clock, in the train we met our friend MVG/AMG, at 10.30 we arrived at Tilburg and we walked about 3 min. before we arrived at the party place. At the building where the party was arranged we saw a lot of dudez waiting for the entrance so we waited for about 30 minutes before we could enter the party place. The enterance was not much, only 7.5 guilders(7 DM., $3) was not expensive and you also got a welcome present(a 3.5' disk with a new VISION demo) for it. When we entered the rooms we saw 3 rooms and a giant video screen. We decided to drop our computer in the corner. After 1 hour the party was totally full with lots of freaks but still more freaks were comming up so they had to put there computers on the floor. There were a lot of cool groups presented like: TCC/RSI, TRISTAR ANGELS, QUARTEX, SPREADPOINT, DEFJAM, SILENTS, BRAINSTORM, VALHALLA, ORACLE and ALPHA FLIGHT, but also groups like: EDACIOUS, ABANDON, CELTIC, MIRAGE THE SPECIAL BROTHERS, VENOM, RAF POWER CONNECTION AOFCF, SAVAGE and DYNAX where there. There was enough new stuff available and there were drinks, and food for responsable prices. Most of the freaks were playing X-Copy or coding. We started to spread our new demo and looking for some friends. After a while I found friends like: Chester/BRAINSTORM(reeeel cool meeting you pal!!!), Bigod 20/TRISTAR(nice to see you at the party dude!), Gator of ZYLON/ALPHA FLIGHT(nice to see you back after a year...), I also met other nice guyz like: Bignonia, Venom, Joreon/Digital Force, Tlt, Damage Inc. Babyface/Edacious. After seeing Video clips, Films & demos the Demo competition started it was really busy at the video screen but luckily some guyz had allready left the party... The first demo to be shown was(I'm not sure) the Digital Force demo, it had nice(ripped!) grafix and nice music, but after a while a little bug occured there was a little 3 meter sprite on the screen(hehehe), the next demo was I think the Brainstorm demo which wa reeeel cool. GREAT(hi Majestic) vector scroll and cool grafix and music but then the Mirage Megademo was showed and the whole jury(NOT me!) was impressed about the megademo. I myself didn't like the Mirage Megademo because it has much ripped things in it. The 4th demo was the Celtic demo(also a reel nice demo with cool vectors) The demo-competition was lame I think because there were only show 5 from about the 20 demos!!! I don't know who's fault it was but in the VISION party report I read that ACTIVE did the demo-competition so it's there fault. After the demo-competition many guyz left and Chester/BRAINSTORM came to me to make a compilation from the demos (watch out for it) so I handed him our computer and it really took long before the first compile was ready. Bugs occured with the fuckin' Diskmaster V1.3 all the time! It's real cool that PARADOX released Diskmaster V3.0, it's much better than the older Diskmaster versions(less bugs & cool new options). At about 21.15 we had to leave to catch our train and at that time Chester had only finished one compile so he had to use someone elses Ami(really sorry Chester). We went together with Jam.Action to the railway station and we had lots of fun in the train till the conductor came to tell us to leave the first class (what an asshole!) we arrived back at home 'bout 12.30.. Ok dudez so far 'bout the VISION-ACTIVE-ACES party. Article written by: MAD MAX of DYNAX
