GASP

This invitation article, is the first set of informations about the GASP (Gainful Awesome Summer Party) which will be organized by EREMATION & DREAMDEALERS in August 1995, in Montpellier, France, the popular southern town!

We expect this party to be one of the biggest ever organised in Europe. The entry price will be about 150 FF (USD 30), which will give all visitors access to the party place for four whole days.

The Place


The Parc des Expositions, in Montpellier, is a huge centre of 20.000 square meters, with room for more than 4.000 visitors and enough parking for everyone. The party place is situated on the road to the Mediterranean beaches, which is less than 10 kms away, in front of the international airport (2 kms), near the motorway (4 kms) and the train station (10 kms). A McDonald's and a commercial centre are also situated very close to the party place. A bus will drive around en route every two hours. A full time cleaning staff and electrician will be also present. A 24 hours a day cafeteria will be opened with low priced food.

The Competitions


The organizers reserve themselves the right to select productions. All kind of racism or such distasteful productions will be automatically excluded.

A total of 120,000 FF (USD 24,000) worth of prizes will be dispatched.

Rules


Contributions for the Amiga demo competition must run on a standard A1200 (OS3.0, 2Mb of Chip Ram, 68020), which will not have any additional Fast Ram. A500 demos can also compete, as long as they also run on an A1200. Only 1 demo per coder will be accepted, but any group can compete with as many demos as they prefer. The time limit is set to a maximum of 20 minutes.

Contributions for the Amiga intro competition must also run on a standard A1200. Only 1 intro per coder will be accepted. The actual length limit is 40K, 40960 bytes! Intros must not need any external libraries to work.

Only 1 picture per graphician will be accepted for the Graphics competition. The picture must be viewable through the latest version of Deluxe Paint. Format has to be IFF. Scanned and raytraced pictures will be disqualified!

Only 1 module per musician will be accepted for the music competition. Every module will be played for a maximum of 6 minutes. Modules must be loadable from Protracker.

Amiga real time competitions (code, graphics and music) will be organised too.

Rules


You have just 6 hours to code and release something!

You have just 6 hours to draw a picture with a special topic.

You have just 4 hours to compose a module on Protracker with a series of samples, handed out by the organizers.

Rules


PC Demos must run on a 486DX2/33Mhz with 4 meg of ram. The maximum allowed length is 3HD Discs.

Falcon Demos must run on a standard Falcon.

A professional exposition will be organised in one of the halls, where all visitors will be able to buy disks, games and other software and hardware.
