AN INTERVIEW WITH RANGER/LADYBIRD D. Here's an interview with Ranger/LBD... D is Darkhawk and R is Ranger.. Alright, let us begin this fairly serious interview.. D: At first, please introduce your group, Ladybird Design to our readers. R: Well, I can do this, I think! So, Ladybird Design was founded in the beginning of 1994. Since then we have released some crap, like a music-slideshow called Madman In Disneyland with pictures by Little Horror and modules by Hudinsky. Next we released a 5th issue of a diskmagazine, called Pmm, but this one is only in polish languange, so I guess you don't see it anyway. We released Pmm before, but issue 5 is our groups production now. We want to make a trackmo, but you know... Heh, at the moment we have all (or almost all!) gfx and modules, but the code isn't finished yet! So maybe you'll see a cool trackmo from us soon, or so... D: And what's your function in LBD? R: Ah, my function? Well, I'm a coder, swapper, organizer, and editor in our disk magazine. D: So, are you content in LBD? R: Hmm... Heh, too hard question, next one please! D: OK, enough about your group Ranger, let's have some questions that involve you.. Tell us a bit about yourself, you know, hobbies, favorite dishes, age and so on.. R: Wow, I'm afraid of this question, because I don't like to write about myself. I'm a swapper, so I do that a lot of the time... But let me do this one more time:I'm 19 years old! My hobbies - First of all is firendship swapping and long letters! Second one is Fantasy, I'm a big Fantasy fan, I like RPG's, I like Fantasy books, just all books where I can find something Fantasy! Of course, like all others I like money also. Heh, yep, money rules! I just love Beavis & Butt-Head! I like naked girls with a banana in the right hand, and a carrot in the left hand... heh, okay, let me finish this shit, coz... Auuh, never mind! D: When did you first get to know about the scene, and how did you enter it? R: Do you really want the answer to this question, eh? Okay, I'll try to write short, hehe! First I got to know about the scene when unluckily (really?) about two years ago, I got a disk magazine, in polish. The name is Zig-Zag. Of course I saw some demos before, but the scene? Hehe! So, some months passed, in that time I got some other scene stuff, and I decided to enter the scene. I began writing some letters (with no disk in the sending ofcourse!) to some swappers, and... Sometimes I got the answers!!! So, I think I entered the scene, about 1.5 years ago, or so... D: What's so good about the scene, that you want to spend many hours a day doing some work for it? R: What's so good about the scene? Hmm... I don't know! But there's something... Eh, friendship? Yep, it must be friendship! I have a lot of friends on the scene, I want to be something, I want to be a bit more skilled. But I guess, that's just normal, everyone wants to be a more skilled, everyone has a some friends! I like the scene very much, I think that the scene is a big piece of my life!!! D: And what's, in your opinion, negative about the scene? R: Hmm... first of all - I hate rascism and fascism on the scene. I don't like guys who want to get money out of the scene, I don't like guys who tell you: "Hey, you son of a bitch, pay me for publishing your adverts!". I think that paying for adverts is just lame. Okay, it's OK if you have to pay for adverts because some authors of articles get your money for writing, or so... But paying to shitheads for nothing isn't good. If you want to get some money then just make a commercial disk magazine, where you'll pay for modules, articles , graphics, and not only get the money for nothing. The scene must be money free!!! D: What is your opinion about your own scene country, the polish scene? R: Well, the polish scene isn't so bad, but it isn't too good either! I think that some other scenes, like the Swedish, German or Danish are a lot better, but we haven't the worst scene anyway! I think that the polish scene is... Hm... Just good! D: What do you like about swapping? R: Well, hard question, hehe! Swapping, yep, I like all about swapping, I like the stuff, and friendship, letter! But the friendship is best in swapping for sure!!! I just love long letters, I still want more friendship contacts, more and more! D: And what do you like about coding? R: Guru... D: Argh, it's hard finding enough questions to fill some space. This is, by the way, the first interview I've ever made. Yes, do you feel honored to be the first person I interview, Ranger? R: I feel only... hot, suxx! Here, in Poland it is really hot now, hehe! But let me be a bit serious, well, no, I don't feel anything special, I think that an interview is an interview, and it doesn't matter how many interviews you did before! But... In the other point of view, I'm a bit honored anyway, hehe! D: Thought so... Well, let's be a little more serious... You are also editor and articlewriter... So let's take some questions regarding diskmags Are there too many? R: Well, maybe yes or maybe not?!? I don't know! I think that there are a bit too many diskmags anyway! Yep, I know, I just can't read it all, but why must we make 20 diskmags if we can do 10 diskmags with more and higher quality articles? But I really like disk magazines, you know, you can read a lot of bullshit, hehe! D: And have they too much power? R: Hmm... Next question please, hehe! D: Name your favorite diskmag (Disc ofcourse!) and tell us why you like it.. R: No, no, no! Disc isn't my favorite diskmag, hehe, sorry...! But I like Disc a lot. why I like it? Articles, this is the reason, I think Disc is full of great articles (About the scene of course, bcoz I've no time to read all articles, so I read only the scene articles, and some others, but not all others)! Maybe in the future Disc will be my favorite diskmag, but first of all the code, gfx, and music must be high quality too, not only high quality articles make the disk magazine! D: I know that there are 20-25 diskmags in Poland, isn't that *too* many? R: Well, of course I think it's totally shit!!! Almost all polish magazines are a lot better than other magazines, but the reason is that those diskmags = polish language! There's nothing bad in having some magazines in your language, but... It's too many for sure!!! D: What would you prefer, being a swapper with many contacts, getting much hot stuff, but writing short and standard letters, or being a swapper with fewer contacts, that write long and friendly letters? R: Hey, that's not fair! You give me too hard questions, hehe! Okay, I'll try to answer you anyway. Let me explain you something... I'm a friendly swapper, so I love long letters. I think that long and friendly letters are much better than cool, hot stuff + short and standard letters! D: Why? R: I just told you why, you shithead! D: Don't call me that, you shithead! Ahmm, tell us your favorite sceneproduction ever, and why you think it's good.. R: It's Desert Dream for sure!!! Desert Dream is a great demo, with pretty cool effects, cool musics and cool graphics! Okay, maybe the gfx aren't so cool, but they're pretty good for sure! When I look at other demos with effects like in Desert Dream then I still enjoy Desert Dream more, even if in the other demos, those effects are a bit better!!! D: Do you think it's OK for a swapper to use the term "elite", like in "Only Elite"? R: Yep!!! I use this word in my adverts, I don't think that I'm a elite guy, but I just need more elite contacts! Of course I need also some other contacts, but... D: Well,I guess that was all there was to my questions this time... Let's be traditional in the end and say that you can write what you want now, greet somebody, or something else.... R: Uh, if I must greet my contacts then... Heh, this article will be a lot longer, hehe! So I'll just write this :-) Greets to all my contacts, and the best greets to all my friends! What I want to write now... Hey, people, if you're a friendly swapper or just a normal guy (not a swapper!), and if you like long letters and real friendship then just contact me now! Heh, I forgot something... Or maybe not? Hmm... I don't know. D: OK, I'll get the last word, heh! Thanks for the interview Christopher and have a happy scenelife! Look in the ads section for his adress if you want to swap with him...
