Apache of Vertigo was interviewed by Chester and Orlando of Brainstorm.

Vertigo is a quite new group, when does it start?
Vertigo was founded a couple of weeks before the Scoopex & Byterapers copyparty which was held 10.-13.8.90 here in Finland.

With your first release (Vectors for all!) you have reached the place No.1 in the ZINE demochart. A good start - what's coming up next?
Hmm... this is a hard one... Of course we will release more demos but it's too early to tell better specification and I'm quite sure that nobody in our team would like it if I would tell here our plans or something like that... so it's a kind of a secret yet. But I can tell that you will heard from us!

All members of VERTIGO left IMAGE to form this new group. Tell us the backgrounds about that all.
Yes, this is because some internal problems... disagreeds with what to do and somehow nobody of us liked the resent organizing in Image. As I told you before Vertigo was founded in the beginning of August when Sulky Fellow, Delorean, Drifter, Apol, Mig and Unknown Artist left Image. Then also Deloreans friend Mel joined Vertigo. I (Apache) joined them at the same time when X-beat and Bloodsuckers arranged this Booze Party here in Finland.
It was middle of September. And finally Ice joined us at the end of September. And it's a fact that we all left Image for the same reason. I know that there are probably some guys (like Level 4) who are once again complaining that why is Zine always interviewing teams that nobody has ever heard... so maybe I better say that Vertigo is only new group, all members are old... and have been in the same groups for quite a long time.

Give an actual members list (with functions).
In alphabetical order they are:
Apache (Main spreading)
Apol (Coding)
Delorean (Music,Main organizer)
Drifter (Graphics,some spreading)
Ice (Main spreading)
Mig (Coding in military service) Mel (Graphics)
Sulky Fellow (Coding)
Unknown Artist (Music)

Do you like all those other groups in Finland? For example SCOOPEX, IMAGE,...
Hmm... maybe it's better to say that I don't hate any team... of course there are some guys who I don't like but I don't want to have a war with anybody. And if I will have some problems I will take care of them personally without name Vertigo. I'm still friend with Image guys and because Reward doesn't hang up when I call him Scoopex is Ok, too. I have many friends from Finnish teams even thought I don't like the Finninsh scene very much... And I have to say that the only group that I really respect is Scoopex SF all other are more or less... guess yourself.

Do you also have plans to get illegal?
Illegal... illegal... at the moment we probably are only legal group even we do swap and spread also illegal software... but at the moment we are 'only' a demo-team... and definetly not selling illegal software or things like that...

What does your hair look like?
What the hell my hair got to do with this? Ok, the color is light.

(Find out more interesting details in the next article...)
  (...continued.)

Be lucky that we do not ask questions, we did to SCOOPEX! Okay, okay, stupid question! Do you want to organize a Copyparty?
Maybe it would be nice to organize a copy-party... but it's definetly sure that we can't organize anything by ourselves, so it would have to be a cooperation party with one or some really 'ready to work for it'-teams... But it's damn difficult to organize a party where all your equipment are not breaked or stolen... at least here in Finland.

What about your local scene? Are there any other VERTIGO-members in your neighbourhood?
Where I live, in Espoo. There aren't many freaks around... but Delorean lives quite near as many of those Image members, too.

A few words about phreaking.
I don't phreak so nothing to tell about it.

What's your opinion to about heroes like BS1, The Kent Team, SCA etc?
I have a quite good picture of these groups... they worked hard for this scene and the job was well done too... and known for all guys who have had Amiga a bit longer than from christmas '89. I remember when The Kent Team send a letter where thay said that they will move to Atari ST and quit all activitys in C-64... they were in ST about 2 weeks (hah hah!) and then moved to Amiga, as we all know very well...

Would you like to be in cooperation with any other big group?
That debends who's asking cooperation... but at the moment we are not looking for any cooperators or anything else.

What kind of watch do you use?
I have Swatch and 2 Casio watches. The other is plastic and the other is Gold. (Cool eh?)

Wooow,... Do you know, that there is a record company called Vertigo. Did you take that name, because of that?
You got that right! Yes, it was one of the reasons... the name was found in Metallica's disc... but of course the name was voted! And some of you have probably noticed that our first demo was also named after Metallica's album 'Justice for all' became 'Vectors for all'.

If you could, what would you change in the computer scene of today?
Probably I would kill all the swappers including myself. No... just kidding... I just remembered that one article in D.I.S.C. It's hard to answer that one... of course I would like to get more friendship to the scene but I must say that I have very much friends and nothing to complain in that matter.

List us all the addresses of your ex-girl(boy) friends.
I've had only 3 REAL girlfriends in my 18 years of living but I'm not that mad that I would write their addresses here... no way... some privacy to them too.

What about "Friendship against business"?
Friendship is great! I mainly swap only because of it. But what I don't like is this 'Friendship movement' if you have a closer look to it you will see that it's only large cooperation between some groups... groups included this movement should really show their friendship and drop all those business things but this unfortunately doesn't happen... teams still sell pirate software and fight with each other. In my opinion people don't need any movements to keep up friendship between groups. Most guys also remember those 'good old times'... what good old times? 2 years ago there were also wars and people named lamers... the speed maybe wasn't so important but fame was! So if we really want to make this scene better we should change ourself! I don't say that I would be the kindest guy in the scene (not even near!) but anyone can join his own frindship movement. However this Spreadpoints idea was good... the result not.

Any other things you would like to say?
VERTIGO - YOU CAN'T BEAT THE FEELING! Hohhoooo....
