       Red Sector and The Silents
      Amiga Conference 1990 Report
    --------------------------------

From the 29/6 to 1/7 Silents and
Red Sector Inc. had arranged a big
 conference in Glostrup, Denmark.

The conference were held in a big
 sportshall called 'Glostrup Hallen'
and it was a perfect place for a
conference. There were a big swimming
pool next to the place. There were a
shopping center 300 m from the party
 place.

Well we arrived at the place at
13:30, and we tried to get in, but we
were not allowed to enter before
15:00. When we entered we saw a big
hall with lot of tables and chairs.
We settled down and after a few hours
there were many people in the hall.
The power supply were good, it only
broke down very few times. In the
5-6 hours nothing real happend, only
that people were running around and

tried to settle down. More and more
 freak showed on Saturday. Really
 nothing happend because everybody
was working on their demo's to be
 finished till the demo-competetion
 deadline at 9.00 Sunday morning.
 Some guys from Bloodsuckers drank
alot of finnish vodka together with
Slayer of Scoopex. Slayer was so
drunk that he felt asleep. But the
 guys from Bloodsuckers started to
fuck around and smashing things. They
smashed all the locks at the toilet
 and wrote 'Bloodsuckers, The mega
nazis' and stuff like that all over
the toilets. I think that a VERY
fucking bad attitude to have: Go to a
copy party, get drunk and smash
things. I think thats so FUCKING
LAME!!!! If they think they are cool
doing things like that, they must
 be sick!!!
Apart from that the party went well.
Some time during the party (I can't
remember the exact time) RSI and
Silents was playing some new music
from Romeo Knight over their BIG
stereo rack..... Well, I can only
that Romeo Knight is THE best!!!!

They were also playing a demo tape
with synth music from Jesper Kyd and
Michael Balle of Silents. Well that
 was very cool too!!!!
The party went on, people were coding
their demos, playing the latest games
talking to their friends, some went
to Copenhagen to go on disco while
 others were sleeping.
But at last the big event was near...
 The demo-competetion!!!!
At 9 o'clock the demos had to be
given to the Silents guys. And at
 12 o'clock the demo-competetion
 started!!!!
We went to another big hall where we
saw a 3x3 meters big screen and 4 big
loudspeakers, where we saw and heard
the latest demo from Silents. We were
settled, and we got a voting sheed to
vote for the demos. Then it all
started. We saw a demo and after one
demo, we had to vote. Points from
1-10 for : Coding, music, grafix,
idea and overall. It was very cool to
see the demos on such a big screen.
Some of the teams competing were:
 Crionics, Silents, Synergy, Budbrain,
 Flash Production, Treacl, Cycron,

Venom, Upfront, Kefrens and loads of
other groups. The first prize in the
 competetion was : 1000$!!!
 No.2 got 500$ and No.3 got 250$.
 The result was like this.

 1. Budbrain (megademo 2disks)
 2. Crionics (megademo 1 disk)
 3. Silents (a multidemo)
 4. Flash Production (megademo 2disks)
 5. Upfront (megademo 1 disk)

After that people copied the demos
 from the competetion and leaved.
A cool party was over. Yes, I said
cool party because it was very good
planned and the power supply was just
ok. And the place was just perfect to
a copy party. Exept from things like
 Bloodsuckers smashing things, fights,
and somebody dropping tear gas, the
party was one of the best ever held
 on danish ground.

GOOD WORK BY SILENTS AND RED SECTOR!
