ANALOGY HI-TECH PARTY (11th-13thDec.) A bit unknown Finnish group ANALOGY organized a party at Rauma, Finland on Friday 11th to Sunday 13th December. Only about 150-250 people showed up, and this was definitely not the best party ever. No foreigners showed up either. But I must give a credit to ANALOGY for even trying to hold a nice copy-party, you know, there is never enough copy-parties held in Finland... Here begins the story... Our awesome party-team was formed at the Oulu Railway-station. The crazy guys I had chosen to accompany me were ZENOX/DAI, SHADDOCK/DICTATORS and our very best klitoris-possu BLACK CAT from the very awesome POORSOFT. The trip went quite OK, and we reached the party-place around eight o'clock on Friday. There was plenty of space at the school and neither you had to wait hours to get in. Mmm, this was promising, indeed! We made our base at the room with Heikki Kosola, POORSOFT and GRACE SF. They were quiet but nice people indeed. Then, we started wandering around looking for friends and action. There was some lack of people and we found very few dudes we had met on other parties. There was really small amount of boozers around, maybe they had to do it outside because ANALOGY had a very strict alcohol-policy. Some action was created by groups like EXOTIC MEN and DAMONES. A window was broken at the other wing of the building and there was even some kind of a axe-fight...(?!) After this ANALOGY called the police and almost all the boozers were kicked out and the action was gone. It seemed as ANALOGY had no staff to keep people under control, or maybe they were just too weak and shy to do it. Anyway, nothing really exciting appeared on Friday. People were just watching demos, coding and playing this classic finnish game, TURBORAKETTI, made by this nice fellow Heikki Kosola. On Saturday at last the rest of DAI arrived. SLUMLORD, TSACA and DELACROIX were really disappointed of the party, as well as we were. On Saturday people just continued watching demos, playing TURBORAKETTI and coding... A very loud noise was created by BOMB SQUAD/SONIC. They brought a stereo-system with them and they played some shit techno with a full volume. Shit, the whole building was quaking... And they played that shit for so fucking long time we got more than fed up with it. Later on Saturday after we had watched STAR TREK (YEAH!) the rest of DAI left even without seeing the democompo. They didn't lose much. As the democompo had to begin ANALOGY told everyone that they hadn't enough money for the prizes and that there was no democompo because there was only three groups taking part in democompo. Well, all the compos were held, some nice pics on the GFX-compo, a large amount of SFX were played while very nice animations by NewTek were shown on the big screen. There was many intros shown and demos by DIGITAL, SKUNK and DISKNET. I don't remember the results, but I guess the GFX compo was won by HOTSHOT/COMPLEX and the democompo by DIGITAL. There was lots of problems during the compos, both techincal and the unrest of the people. The people didn't respect ANALOGY as much as if some cooler group held a party. People were talking during the compo and disturbing the compos all the time. And ANALOGY had no rough staff to handle the trouble-makers. The voting was once again messed up and they barely said what was the number of the prod shown on the screen. And the lights went out and on and out and on... REAL SHIT!!!!! Overall, an awful experience but you do always enjoy yourself on a party at least for a while. Thanks to ANALOGY for at least trying and for weak organizing. And fuck to every suspicious people who didn't come. If you all would have come, that would have been a cool party... MAYBE... anyway, more parties, more fun in FUNLAND!!!!!! Some groups that were present: FUN FACTORY - DAI - COMPLEX - DAMONES - POORSOFT - DEADLINE- GRACE - DIGITAL - SONIC - STELLAR - B29 - EXOTIC MEN - ORION - CALIBRA - REBELS - DISKNET - MIDNIGHTSUN - DELICIOUS - DICTATORS - CHROME and many others I don't remember...
