Name: TMB DESIGNS / SPACEBALLS Function: GRAPHICIAN Age: 18 We have been so extremely lucky to get an interview with one of Norway's most promising graphicians at the moment, TMB Designs of Spaceballs. (Note: This interview was done before The Party II, Ed.) Cs: Hi Tore! How are you today, if I may ask? TMBd: Not too bad, but not very good either. Cs: So, have you been drawing anything lately? What's your latest- and forthcoming productions? TMBd: I've made layouts for demos, some to come out soon + some pictures. Cs: Why are you using so few colors in your works? TMBd: Because I draw medres! I draw in medres because it's a much more flexible format though it's a hell to work with. Cs: (Well, I was actually thinking of the special use of grey-scales, and more @dull@ colors - not bright colors like yellow, red, green, etc.) Cs: Do you have a girlfriend? TMBd: Nope, not right now. Cs: (Why is it so that so few computer freaks have a girlfriend? It's a bit strange, I think. Maybe I should write an article about it...) Cs: I know that you are some kind of an enviromental enthusiast, at school, you are very keen on recycling the paper, etc. Want to talk about it? TMBd: NAH! Cs: What do you think of graphics competitions at parties? TMBd: They sucks! (Ed: It sucks, they suck.) To have a real compo you have to have pictures drawn there and then a competent jury, not a @democratic thing@. Cs: How many competitions have you competed in and how did it go? TMBd: Don't know how many, but since I often draw small pics and uses (mostly) self-constructed pictures, I get 10th place and so on... Cs: Which and when is the next Amigaparty you will go to? TMBd: The Party '92 - Xmas. (Read the complete party report in this issue! Ed.) Cs: Who and what inspires you in your drawing? TMBd: Movies, MUSIC, other graphicians, friends, etc. Cs: To get the standard opinions; who's your favorite: Coder: THE SPY Musician: OYSTEIN EIDE Graphician: UNO Diskmag: R.A.W Trackmo: GLOBAL TRASH Cs: Do ya think that a new diskmag like UPSTREAM has any chance of surviving in the scene? TMBd: Ask me that next year, ok? Cs: Do you like techno-sounds? (hint, hint...(I know he hates it...)) TMBd: The -ONLY- person that can make proper @techno@ music is Static, especially @Total Triple Trouble@. Cs: Are you involved in any making of professional software? (games, etc.) TMBd: Not yet. Cs: Anybody you'd like to say hi to, now when you've got the possibility of reaching 3.000.000 Amiga-freaks out there? (Hey, I said POSSIBILITY - I guess the mag won't be THAT well spread, but anyway...) TMBd: I guess I talk to them guys anyway, so never mind. Cs: Thanks to you, Tore, for the interview!
