Interview with Peachy/TRSI



Peachy has maybe done the Fastest career ever on Amiga. He got known
after his first released picture. That picture was voted as the BEST
picture of 92 by RAW readers.



Your scene career has been very fast. In Summer'92 none had
heard about you and now you are among the Most Popular
Graphicians..  Any comments?



Well, there were only some smaller prods I worked on together with Dreamer.
We both did our final examinations at that time. Do you know that I first
made only some modules and graphics if there was a real need? But soon I
realized that I can't stand the competition with my shit. So I entered the
world of doing pixels here and there. Maybe I can stand the competition here???



Your Picture "Sheryl Lee" has by the RAW readers been voted as
THE PICTURE OF 1992.  What do you think about it?



True? Thanx a lot dear readers! Sad but true I can't pay for that,hehehe. 
Ok, this was my first real picture and I spended the most time on this, think
about one week! I wanted it to be nearly perfect and as much realistic as I
could. The complex hair structure costet me about 70% of the time! 



Your not only good at drawing pictures, the END-logo in Wicked
Sensation was really one of the Best this year. Do TRSI have
copyright on good logos?



Hu? Hae? We have no copyright on them! I like it if I spot a cool complex
(ehh...hi!) logo and not simple things. So we maybe have a new one in 1993?



Has this recent success motivated you to draw more graphics?



Of course, to be honest I think success motivates everyone. So I try to
improve my style and keep on doing this. But there are other things in life
to be motivated as well!



What graphics have released before your Break-through (Wicked Sensation)?



Well, no pictures! I did only some logos'n fonts! But I think if you can't
draw this simple things you won't be able to draw smart graphics! You first
have to be the bondman of your coder and if you manage to do this basics fine
you climb up the ledder. You start painting neat pictures and now you can wipe
off ya coders ass! And if you still managed to do this fine you are on top
of the ledder and polish his shoes! No, coders are cool people,hehehe.
Sometimes too cool (Hi Kanalratte) Back to my releases. I did all graphics on
Misery Dentro,and before that were only intros like TRSI's Bistro. So nothing
to be worth mentioning. After WS I decided to stick on graphics and polishing
someone's shoes...



You won the graphics compition in Aars with a 32-colours LOWRES pic. All
the others either used a higher resulution or 64 colours. Why didn't you
use a higher resulution or more colours than a usual demopic?



This is very simple. At that time my Amiga wasn't able to handle this?!
Well I never found the reason for this but sometimes it slows down in HBrite!
I thought I'm in HAM but no, I was in HBrite,hmmm...Interlace suxx, 'coz I
have no flickerfixer nor a monitor. This is the reason for sometimes bad
colors! On a normal monitor they are much brighter than on my. It's just
horrible. But things change soon. For my Aars picture, 32LO because you are
much faster ready! Simple or what?



When you look through the book to find a picture, did you choose
the naked lady that won in Aars because you thought you'd win
the competition or just because you liked the motiv(pervert) (Be
honest!)



I AM HONEST...I thought this is the best available motiv around this sucking
fantasy world! I recieved more and more repaintings of BORIS (Der Vorbeter).
A friend of mine had his fucking cool books. Now there must be something
stimulating, something you, ehhh... they get a nice erection...Sad but true!
So this one was perfect...Again BORIS, again FANTASY, again NAKED, won again!
I think it's hard to win win with a 'normal' picture on a competition. In my
opinion Sheryl Lee wouldn't won that competition though it's muuuuch better!



Which of the other pictures in the Aars competition did you like?



There are a lot! Facet's picture was smart but I think this was just a
preview, or what? There was missing the background. Fairfax' one was much
detailed work. Rhah's was cool and so Mack's to mention some.



You builded Masque to be a subgroup of TRSI. Why did you do what?



There were several reasons. There were still some who think I'm the cracker
in TRSI! No, but there was no clear difference to the illegals (Hi Chaos, now
we have our own group you may rethink the whole now???)
Also there were some differences between our demo-HQ and ourselves. 
Nevertheless we name TRSI. Masque is at the moment just a concentrate of some
good (?) people.



So now you are a member of TRISTAR and RED SECTOR and MASQUE.. Are you
member of other Amiga groups as well?



Of course...Here ya have a list...No I think we are the same lamers as we
were before but we are now much better organized with our internal BBS with a
code, music and graphic section. Our internal demo-development-system MDOS is
nearly ready so things will be much easier.




Some say that you got a average technique but VERY good pictures. What do
you think?



My technique is not perfect, well wait for my next pictures. Grumpf....hehe
In my opinion technique (and what ever that may be) is not the most important.
The most important is that the whole looks in a way cool, and those who say
the other way round are lam..olidumdaidifratschfroem...Have you ever spotted
a painter of the quality of DALI who isn't gone mad? The way they speak and
behave, aargh. I hope that I'll never be so mad, and I hope that other
graphicians won't be too! Don't be too impressed by your own work! 
Others may think it's just average - see above, hehehe.



Which drawing of yours are you most satisfied with?



Very simple it's always my newest. Some days later it suxx. But it's of
course Sheryl Lee...or the next one? I just love my 256 Hires Interlaced
picture though it's not finished by now, but soon... or? hu that's not mine,
too bad.



What do you think about the scene today?



Hmmm...the scene was much better before? Well, the best thing would be that
the friendship would increase and the parties may be nearly as good organized
than the Aars party 2. There wasn't much good releases but a good party.
(again a BIG hip to the one who didn't let me sleep in hall one, maybe he
hasn't recognized that the sleeping-hall was so full that ya thought they do
something pervert...but I slept in hall one aetsch, hehehe, hu and MANY thanx
to the one who handed our car key 'coz someone who doesn't want to be
mentioned here has lost it!!!) I think we need something like that to meet 
each other and Danmark is a great place for that.



Why does everyone copy pictures from known people like Boris. Isn't 
it possible to find some more original motives?



That's my argument...BORIS suxx...and my Aars picture was the first and last
I copied from him. There isn't much left from him be fast!!!! Well it IS 
possible to find other motives but pleeeease don't always search for fantasy
painters like BORIS...it's ok if here and there you repaint one but not only!
Search for new, it's hard I know! Or create something on your own...after a
needed period of repainting to find your own style.



Where can we expect to see some pictures from you in the future?



Well the next repainting,hehe will be (or was...) in Misery Dentro 2. After
this there will be something in HIRES INTERLACE 256 cols (AGA rules) maybe
in BLACK ZONE which will be done by Wayne Mendoza, Virgill, Romeo Knight,
Fade One and me. This should be around Summer or autumn? After this we head
for FUTURE WORLD which should be the ultimate demo...plans are nearly
finished...hopefully we manage it...
