 1. Where and when ========================================

     Distance '97 will be held in Tveita, Oslo, Norway. To
     be specific, it will be arranged at Hellerud
     Videregaende skole/College.

     The doors open on Thursday 2nd of October 1997 at
     12.00.

     The doors close on Sunday 5th of October 1997 at
     16.00.

     ENTRANCE FEE: 250 NOK, paid upon entry.
     Free entrance for girls and people from outside
     Scandinavia.

 2. Features ==============================================

       - Network running.
       - Internet connection on the local net.
       - 24 hour cafeteria selling pizzas, hot dogs etc.
       - Movie hall with Dolby AC-3 sound running movies
         through the entire party.
       - All the latest in American nit-witt action movies.
       - Strange and wonderful movies (Eraserhead +++) for
         all you nonaction lovers out there.
       - More than enough power.
       - Lots of surprize compos (featuring fab prizes! ;P)
       - Non-t shirt prizes for the demo compos.
       - Cool info channel on the air (transmitted through
         standard RF TV signals so everyone with a
         TV/TV-card can watch it on their own screens).

 4. Competitions ==========================================

     PC Demo -------------------- Deadline: Saturday, 16.00

       - Max Size    : 5 MB
       - Exit        : Escape
       - Base Mem    : 600k
       - Sound       : GUS/SB or Nosound
       - RAM         : 16 MB
       - VESA 2.0 supported

     Amiga Demo ----------------- Deadline: Saturday, 16.00

       - Max Size    : 5 MB
       - Exit        : Left Mouse Button
       - Must run on : AGA Amigas with 030@50 MHz
                                   and 060@50 MHz
       - RAM         : 10 MB RAM

     80K intro (Combo PC/Amiga) - Deadline: Saturday, 14.00

       - Max Size    : 80K :)
       - Exit        : Escape (PC) /
                       Left Mouse Button (Amiga)
       - Otherwise the same rules as the demo compos

     4K intro (Combo PC/Amiga) -- Deadline: Saturday, 15.00

       - Max Size    : 4K :)
       - Exit        : Escape (PC) /
                       Left Mouse Button (Amiga)
       - Otherwise the same rules as the demo compos

     Multichannel Module -------- Deadline: Saturday, 12.00

       - Format      : XM/MOD/S3M/IT
       - Channels    : 32
       - Played on   : 1 MB GUS

       All contributions will be played on GUS 1 MB with
       Cubic Player (IT modules will be played using
       Impulse Tracker).

     4 Channel Module ----------- Deadline: Saturday, 12.00

       - Format      : MOD
       - Max Size    : 1 MB

       All contributions will be played in mono on with
       Hippoplayer on Amiga.

     Handdrawn Graphics --------- Deadline: Saturday, 17.00

       - Format      : BMP/IFF(LBM)/GIF/TGA/PCX
       - Max Res     : 800x600 (24 bit)

 5. Rules =================================================

       - No drinking
       - No drugs
       - No aliens
       - No puking
       - No permanent redecoration of the hall
         (spraypainting etc)
       - No fires!
       - No household appliances (fridges, microwaves etc)
       - No pool
       - No pets
       - No sigarettes

       Other than this; we should all live by the Norwegian
       laws. :)
