     INTERVIEW WITH SUN CONNECTION
     CONDUCTED by HAMMER / ANARCHY
 *************************************

SD: Please, Geronymho, before telling
us about your team, tell us a
    little about yourself.
SC: In fast words, I'm 19, I'm French
and I get bored of liars. My main
time is spent in school, Amiga
    listening music, and studying
french (you know that french is the
    most beautiful langage over the
world, according to me!). I spend
about 1 hour a day in front of my
Amiga (during school) and 6 hours a
    day (during hollidays).

SD: When were Sun Connection founded
    and by whom ?
SC: Sun Connection born at the end of
1988. That means that we born about
a year ago.I founded Sun Connection
with a friend of mine, U2. He
stopped now on Amiga, but sometimes
draw for us a cool sculpt 4d
picture. He made our first tunes
So, I'm the only member left....

SD: Name the current members and their
    Roles in the group...
SC: Geronymho : Organizer, Main swapper
and I make musics with my friend
    Cobburn.
    HDWR: (that means Hardware!)
                 Graphic Artist
    Revolution: Coder
    Axis: Code and Gfx
    Pixstar: Sculpt Artist
    End of Data: Swapper
    Omen: Dpaint Artist
    Cobburn: Sound Artist
    Saxon: Gfx Artist.
I must say that we are friends
(that's not the same in all teams.)
    In fact, we're 9, and I think it's
quiet a good number. Two or three
    members will join soon.

SD: What were you initial ambitions and
do you feel youve fulfilled any ??
SC: Our initial ambitions were:
To make our best, (and not be the
    best),
    To create NICE things,
To get a bit famous (for example
beeing interviewed by a cool mag

like Stolen Data!!!), to be friends
    To avoid arrogant people
We thing we do our best (it's up to
you to have an opinion, and think
if our best is lame or cool), we
    create nice things (hope!), we're
interviewed by several mags (see !)
and we're friends. But we failed in
    avoiding arrongant people. They're
    too many!!

SD: What do you think is your best
    production so far ??
SC: I really don't know what is our
best production so far... We are
    always thinking of tomorow.
    Yesterday does not really interest
    us... (we're philosophs, don't you
think so?!). Maybe you can answer
for me?! In fact, we are proud of
our productions, but we think it
could be better. So, we hope to do
    better again!

SD: What do you think your Group is
    best at and why ??

SC: Your question is a good one. I said
that our plans were to make nice
things. Would you be satisfied if I
say to you that we plan Sun Slide
III? hehe, not at all ( it's yet
    released). All right, here's my
    answer. That's not a coincidence
About 10 graphic artist failed in
    joining us, because our graphic
    selections are really hard... and
that's the reason why what we
release is worth beeing used like
    TRUE graphix. In common demos
    graphix are not really important.
We decided to make the graphix
important. We are proud of our
graphix, it's maybe the thing we do
    best. For example, Crusaders are
best for tunes ( they're not bad at
all!!! ), we hope to be good at
    graphix.

SD: What are your future productions ??
SC: Sun Slide III is finished. The rest
is not finished yet, so wait'n
see! We hope a lot in a new
    great cooperation, soon to born

SD: Have you ever thought about
    releasing cracks ??
SC: We thought about releasing cracks
We're not interested in. There are
many people who do that for us.

SD: What are your views on Software
Piracy and how it effects the
    programmers and Software Houses ??
SC: Maybe software houses should stop
to pay mags to tell us how great a
shit is. When they will stop to
    release so lame productions, saying
    it's another revolution, maybe they
will sell more. I noticed that
    sometimes crackers ask people to
buy software when the soft is cool.
    That's a good idea. The Sim City's
    coder is worth beeing congratulated
The coder of Altered Beast or other
shit should come back to his
mother's home, and fuck his dog
instead of making lamers buy his
shit (and mags tell lies about it!)
WHY can't we pay more a virgin disk
(like french SACEM in France for
cassettes), and the add can't be
given to software houses? And so

cops would let us live our life!
(sorry for my bad english). Nobody
can stop cracking, but somebody can
    stop prohibition, and give software
house money taken for empty disks!
My last word: it's too expensive!!!

SD: What do you think about the French
    Amiga Scene ??
SC: French Amiga Scene? Well... Let me
think... We are friends with Demons
Dragons did cool demos. We have
    friends like Doxos, Drifters,...
    There are DMAcon, Cyclone, Mystics
    too... But many lamers think
they're best ( they only want to
stay arrogant). To lie is to rule
We hate that! Brain Wave told lies
about us in Zine ( Arakis said we
would die ! ). We never said
    something about Arakis, and we
wonder where he finds his news (it
has never been true that 4 members
left us! : we were 5 two months ago
and we're now 9!!!).!). We hope it
was a mistake. French scene is
    less interesting than french girls!

Maybe this will change because we
    plan something great with Demons
and others cool teams. Wait 'n see!
SD: What do you think about Modem
    Trading ??
SC: Modem trading is too expensive

SD: Who do you rate as the Best.....
    Crackers, Trainers, Demo Makers
    Musicians, Grafix and Swappers ??
SC: I can't rate crackers, nor trainers
Many of them release 100 percent
    cracks, fast, and nice. Nothing
    more to say.
Best demo makers are RSI, Rebels
and some others. Best graphix are
done by RSI (again!), some good
ones by others teams, but they have
not always the same quality. Best
musics are by many people ( and
    that's fun! ): Crusaders ( whaaoo
    Dr Awesome and Fleshbrain! Bacteria
was far away better than the others
    ( already cool ) music disks ! )
Rebels ( Static has got an
hypnothical style !), RSI, and some
    others... Best swappers? That's

hard to answer. I like fast people
    sending quality, beeing friendly
That's hard to find. Fast people
have often nothing to say. Others
are really friendly but often don't
    send really good stuff... Others
send always quality, but are not
fast, or not friendly. I think
    quality and friendship are better
than to be fast ( it's always
possible to get the stuff, but not
to get friends...). My best swap
friends are Eddie of Silents ( fast
and friendly ), Tee Djay of
Powerlords UK (long long letters !)
and Billy of Demons (always saying
what he think, even if it is to
criticile). I enjoy to write to IBB
    because I speak Italian ( I get
    sometimes bored of english!) with
    them (I try!).

SD: What do you rate as the best Demo
    of all time ??
SC: According to End of Data, The best
demo of all time is The Thrust

    Ottifan demo. According to Cobburn
that is the RSI demos. I really
don't think that there is ONE best
demo. Many demos are cool. What
End of Data and Cobburn said is
    right.

SD: What Game do you like best ??
SC: E.O.D. enjoys Jumping Jack Son
I don't agree. With Cobburn, we
meet during hours at Tennis Cup
That's a great challenge! But maybe
Shadow of the Beast is the best
    game ever.

SD: A bit of a cheeky one this !!
What do think about Stolen Data ??
Sc: I remember to have enjoyed Stolen
Data when I saw it. But I was in an
exam, so I don't really remember
    School work, you know... (sorry!)
I haven't seen the paper mag yet
I will ask for it when I get time
    (I still have exams!).

SD: Any Last Words.....
