Finally, it's the 26th of December 2000, I had been awaiting this date for one whole year now and I'm very happy it's finally time for it! It's five o'clock in the morning and I'm driving to my mate,  #Ran !/ $Pepsi !'s place, at six o'clock we've loaded his Amiga 10090 in my car and we're ready to drive to the Party place, in Denmark once more, but this time in Soborg.

We live in Germany, not very far from the Danish border and at ten o'clock, when they open the doors, we're here. A young and charming hostess seems to be waiting for us, "Great", I thought, "she'll lead us to our tables!", but when she gets to know who we are, she says, losing her smile, that the " "Lame-Room !" is on the left... Well, we didn't know there was a so-called " "Lame-Room !", but it doesn't matter...

Once in, we see some poor pieces of woods full of nails lying on boxes... Well, we don't care about beauty as long as it's functional, do we? So, we install our Amigas on this and everything falls down, as one of the left boxes was quite wet and couldn't support such an enormous weight. The guys next to us start laughing at us, but finally, one of them explains us that we'd better fill the boxes so as the "table" resist to the Amiga's weight. So,  #Ran ! goes and buys around 100 coke bottles and we start drinking, filling the empty boxes with the empty cans, which is quite strange acting, I thought at this moment... Well, yes, how can we fill an empty box with cans that are as empty as Prince Charles' head, eh? But, anyway, it worked and that's what is important.

Once installed, we start looking at last year's demos but after around one minute we got bored. So,  #Ran ! proposed me to watch a few X-Pictures, ok, good, it rules... But after around one hour we got bored as well... Shit, what can we do now? I then remarked that the room was getting fuller and fuller and we decided to have a chat with a few persons. So, we granted the first dude to pass in front of us of a warm "Hi!" and that guy answered us: "Hi! I'm  #Raven !,  "swapper !!"

"And we are  #Ran ! and  #Olaf ! of  $Pepsi !, moral-supporter and swapper."

"Hey I swap with you,  #Olaf !, don't I?"
  !
"Well, maybe, I don't really know..."

"Yeah, I'm sure about it, you live in Dresden, Germany, right?"

"I surely do!"

"I'm living there too! In Sauerkrautstrasse!"

"Hey! How strange, I live in Sauerkrautstrassee, too!"

"So, why not speak German, as we live in the same street..."

"Why not?"

"But, I prefer speaking english, you know..."

"Oh, I can understand you!"

And the rest is of absolutely no interest for you but I have to say I had a very nice chat with him.

Then, all three of us saw a strange girl walking right in front of us, she is wearing a strange dress with big captital letters written "Wanna be in the nice room?  "BE ELITE! !", as we didn't understand the deep meaning of those words, we stop that girl by all three of us standing in front of her, red as tomatoes - here's the chat:

  #Girl !: "Well, hi, what do you want to know?"

  #Girl !: "Hello! Wouhou! There's someone in front of you!"

Us !: "...Hum...sorry, it's hard for us to speak to you, but it's the first we're having a chat with a real girl, you know..."

  #Girl !: "First of all, you're really having a chat, as I'm the only one speaking around here."
  #  "
Us !: "Sorry, really, well, we'll try to make as if you weren't a girl, ok?"
  "
  #Girl !: "No problem, go on, ask your questions!"

Us !: "What is the deep meaning of the words written on your dress, please?"

  #Girl !: "As you don't know, you're in the " "Lame-Room !", and a little bit further is the " "Elite-Room !", which is much more nice than this shabby room, for example, there are real tables, desks to be more precise, leather chairs, girls ...erm... excuse me, human beings, serving wine (Saint Emilion Grand Cru), Whisky, Pastis or Champaign,...the room is heated and there is a soft ambient music."

Us !: "Hey! How do we get there? We want to get there!"

  #Girl !: "You have to be  "elite ! to get there..."
  #  !
And then, we went back behind our table and lost  "Raven !, but I can't remember where he was...

Anyway, it was now time for the demo-competition, so we went there. We hurried to the nearest seats, but soon, a guard with a very big and menacing bludgeon told us to move immediately as those seats are for elite dudes only and we don't have our signs... "Where must we go, then?" "Just stand behind the seats with the other lamers!".

So, we went there and wait for the compo to start. But when it starts we realise that we cannot hear the music and we ask an elite guy in front of us whether he could hear it, to what he answered "Buzz off, lamer!" and I saw he had earphones...

As you can guess we could hardly enjoy the compos except the graphics one but graphics were not that good, only  "naked girls !,  "dragons !, and portraits of  #Alhazred !, as always.

The last thing I have to say about this party is the nice war between PC and Amiga sceners, it all started when a lame PC dude went to the Elite room and tried to have a chat with an elite Amiga dude, then all the elite Amiga dudes around there started shouting that PC dudes were anarchists and couldn't respect the higher sceners, to what the PC sceners replied that if this lamer went to speak an elite Amiga dude it was because this dude actually was lame. And the war started, keyboards were flying everywhere, we could see  #Fishwave ! hitting everyone with his keyboard as  #Alhazred ! ordered him a few years ago, PC dudes with their heads in their monitors and much more...

But finally, the mighty  #Alhazred ! came and calmed all them down by shooting a few dudes and then burning them saying he had to clean the earth of those rotten lamers.

All in all, it was a very good party, despite the few negative points and we had a great time there! I'm impatiently waiting for next year's party, maybe I'll be in the " "Elite-Room !", then!
