on friday the 26th of october,i and two
coders from magnetic fields,called hit
and z80,setout to rotherham to meet all
the rest of the members of mf. on friday
night we all stayed over at no.5's house
along with proteus,frenzy and a few
other members. on saturday morning
around 8.30 after a long night with no
sleep as everyone was coding and typing
variuos scrolltexts in their parts for
the un^released megademo,we set out to
the rawmarsh sports centre for the big
party.

when we arrived there,there was no^one
in sight apart from various people from
the public walking by. when we finsihed
arranging the tables and setting up the
computers up on the stage we found a
spare amplifier belonging to the owners
of the sport centre. so no.5 linked the
amplifier to one of the amigas and
pumped some music through it belonging
to one of our newest musicians.

at around 10.00 pepople started to
arrive,but only lamers from around
sheffield. some people even started to
play games like gauntlet ii and ziphos
which are far too old for us. by 12.00
the hall was being filled quite quickly
and quartex and a member of skidrow came
and brought their latest warez from off
the boards!!! all i was bothered about
really was collecting all the latest
demos and a few games which are usually
not very playable,although lotus esprit
from us is very good (hehe).cosy brought
along his video^camera along with jester
of quartex so both of them were walking
around and showing off and filming
everyone on the party. there was a bar,
open to people over 18. as soon as the
bar opened all i could see were people
drinknig and getting slightly drunk.

by 3.00 there was probably around
200^250 people walking around showing
their latest demos and bringing their
newest warez (look further for list).
there also was a lame norwegian group
called 'new age',who cheated in the
democompetition!!!!

after 3.00 we started to arrange the
kick^off competition as there were
some trophies to be won,which i
thought were much better prizes than
the previous copyparty held in
february. before i carry on there is
a democompetition with a prize of 100
pounds and the best music composed wins
50 pounds,also 30 pounds for the best
'tug of war' team. i couldn't be
bothered to go in for the kick^off
competition as i am not exactly the
best player around,i was just walking
around the room in circles handing disx
over to people in order to collect all
the demos for the competition. when the
kick^off competition had started i went
for a nice kebab along with hybrid of
the mighty druids (hi paul).

around 6.00 the demo competition began
and everybody started to complete their
demos for the entry time of 6.00. the
lame norwegian group new age came up to
one of us and delayed the time to 6.30.

when the kick^off competition had ended
it was about 6.45 and everybody handed
over their demos to be judged. but first
before the demo^competition was started,
the tug^of^war began with all the groups
competing at each other,i cannot
remember which group won but it was a
mix between various people. it was
really funny watching it as everyone was
really drunk and looking really silly.

i left early before the demo^competition
had started,as our coders wanted to get
back,but i wasn't that bothered as i had
about 25 disx of demos which was all
that was released there!!! oh,i will not
forget to tell you who won the demo and
the music^competition...

demo^competition

was won by anarchy,the demo was really
good and was coded by dan (ex^reaktor
member,well done!!!)

music competition

was won by nightshade of xtc,i thought
4^mat would win it easily but
nightshade's tune was really good,
earlier nightshade was playing computer
music on the piano and it sounded really
smart!!!
