     Rendezvous '93 Party report
-------------------------------------
by Dolphin

The "Rendezvous 1993" was arranged by
Symbiosis in Kristiansand, Norway
from July 30th to August 1st.

Well, what can I say? It was a quite
small party, with only about 300
visitors. The sound and audiovisual
equipment was rather poor, but since
the demo competition was cancelled,
this didn't matter much.

Here is a list of groups I noticed
was present: Andromeda, Avalon,
Balance, Cadaver, Crusaders,
Cryptoburners(?), Destiny, Devils,
Eon, Exile, Iris, Lemon., Majic 12,
Noiseless, Pure Metal Coders,
Spaceballs, Talent, The Pornos and of
course Stone Arts...

DEMO COMPETITION:

The demo competition was cancelled
due to lack of contributions. Only
three demos had been delivered...

The first price in the music
competition was an A1200, while the
first price in the graphics
competition was a Scala multimedia
package. Commodore had promissed the
arrangers an A4000 for the demo
competition, but when they heard that
only 300 persons were present, they
changed the A4000 into an A1200
instead.

The most drunk person on this party
was beyond the shadow of the doubt,
Scott/Spaceballs. He actually laid
on the floor and puked blood! (Sorry
for refering to you as a "wreck",
Scott! -Ed.)

The biggest disappointment was of
course that the demo competition was
cancelled, beside that the party was
o.k, concidering how few people that
were present. A thing that surprised
me a bit was the high entrance fee,
about $18,5. Especially when you
consider that the competition prizes
were sponsored.

All in all, the best thing at this
party was the hot-dogs they sold!
Hmmm...

I hope Symbiosis will arrange a
sequel to "Rendezvous '93" next year!
