{3 STATIC BYTES/LIGHT PARTY REPORT {1 BY EXECUTIONER/REDNEX Quackbuster/Static Bytes, Lunatic and Tuborg of Light and Lehman Radio TV had arranged a party called Lowlife '91 in Silkeborg in Denmark. The party took place 27-29th of September 1991. The party was ment as a low budget party and the organizers thought that only 200 people would show up. The party was held in an old public school far away from the railway station. So the visitors had to go by taxi or bus unless the wanted to walk for a long time. The hall where the party took place was already overcrowded when I arrived one and a half hour after the beginning of the party. I was however able to find a place for my computer because some members of Rednex had already arrived. The entrance was quite fair, only 60 Danish crowns (8.5$ or 15 Dm) but the party place was lousy. There was not enough tables for all of us, so I had to go down in a dark and spooky cellar and fetch some old wrecked tables. I managed to some parts of a table and they could be used as a table. The toilets were really BAD! The sinks were choked after 5 hours so there was no possibility to wash your hands. But MANY Danish groups turned up and nearly the whole Danish scene were present. Groups present were: Anarchy, Flash Prod, Silents, Kefrens, Deadlock, Aero, Bacteria, Amaze, Cult, Light, Static Bytes, Triangle, Rednex, Rebels, Copyride, Adroit, Bastards, Majic 12, Gnu Design, Mirror, Direct, The Goonies, Index, Vixen and the lamest group ever seen in Denmark: The Guru Of Oz. The only foreigners were 3 guys from The Electronic Knights in Germany. But almost 400 dudes showed up and the organizers had to open 2 more halls to get room enough for all the people. They also had to call an electrician in the middle of the night because there were some problems with the power supply and there were many power failures the first night. The first price at the party was 4000 Dkr (600$ or 1000 Dm) but there were omly 5 contributions to the demo competion. The competitors were: Light, Static Bytes, Kefrens, Direct and Flash/Anarchy/Quartex. here is the result from the democompetion: 3. Light - with 148 points they won 1000 Dkr. 2. Flash etc. - with 149 points they won 2000 Dkr. 1. Kefrens - with 351 points they won 4000 Dkr. All in all a good party where many Danes showed up. The party place was not that good, but the organizers did a good job (hej Kvakke!) End.
