INTERVIEW - DEVILSTAR/VD-FAIRLIGHT!

 1) Firstly,   tell  us  a  bit  about
 yourself (Age,Group,Country etc)..
 
 Hmm  well  I'm  24  years,  and  from 
 Denmark, and I have dedicated my life 
 to Virtual dreams!!


 2) Cool,  ok  tell  us  some  of  the
 previous  groups  you  have  been  in
 and what they were like!

 Well  when  I  first  started  on the 
 amiga   I   was   really   a   little 
 game-lamer,  that was the only reason
 for  me  getting an amiga, but one of
 my old pals (Hi Dize/Tsl) got me in a 
 group  called Starion (Bonzai on C64)
 and  then  I  started  to draw gfx. I
 have  always  drawn  on paper so that 
 was the natural thing for me to start 
 doing  on  amiga!  That  was the time 
 that  the  first  of the Great Partys 
 was  held (The Party 1) well the guys 
 of  Starion was talking about doing a 
 demo  and  I  make lotsa Gfx for them 
 BUT  they never released anything, so 
 I  left  for  Silents,  but after the 
 demo  DemonDownLoad  the dudes in TSL
 become inactive, and when they kicked 
 DUX,  I didn't think I had any reason 
 to  stay  in  that group so, I joined 
 Kefrens  (that  was  my real friends)
 but  they  died  (or  almost)  and  I 
 decided  to  join Vd/flt, at first it 
 was  becoz  they where so active, but 
 now  after  I  have meet them I think 
 that  if  they  went inactive I still
 would  stay  in  coz  they are really 
 great  guy's and great fun! (hi skull 
 & tsunami remember those hotdogs?).


 3) Tell us a bit about the scene over
 there in Denmark?

 Denmark...  Well  I  think  the scene 
 here  is  great,  most becoz of POLKA 
 BROTHERS  they  are so fun, and great 
 guys!!  (real pal's) hoho well in the
 sommer  time  here its real dangerous 
 to  be  with  Polka coz they LIVE for 
 barbeque-grill-partys  (beer included 
 ofcoz)  so  if  u  dont be carefull u
 might  not  get anything done for the 
 whole sommer! ;)


 4) What  do  you  think  of the Amiga
 Scene overall?

 I  think  there should be more groups 
 like  Pokla  B.  More groups for fun, 
 but   I   mean  they  should  release 
 something,  I  think  the main reason 
 for  Polka  releasing so much is that
 we  have  fun while making the demos, 
 so   if  all  the  people  wern't  so 
 serious  they would release more, and 
 have more fun making the demos! And I 
 also  think  the  Crackers should not
 crack  the  scene  games  I  mean the 
 games     made    by    coders    and 
 gfx/musicians  of the scene, coz they
 only destroy it for themselves in the
 end!  coz  we all know that the amiga
 is on the edge of dying!


 5) How  long  have  you  now  been  a 
 Graphician  and why did you decide to 
 become a Graphician?

 Well I started making gfx hmm... just 
 after  THE  PARTY  1! When some of my
 friends  had  been  there and told me 
 that  I  should  go  next  time, so I 
 guess  I have been a graphician for a 
 little  over 2 years. Well the reason 
 for me to start doing gfx was, I have
 always  been  drawing  on  paper  and 
 stuff,   so  I  guess  that  was  the 
 Natural thing for me!


 6) Out  of  your  Pictures  you  have
 drawn  which  one  would  you say was 
 your best and why?

 Well  thats  a  Tough one, well maybe
 its  that  big  SILENTS  logo, in the 
 start  of  DDL,  but  thats  only coz 
 thats  the  first REAL thing I did on 
 the  amiga. The picture I myself best
 like  is  the Competition picture for 
 assembly94, a picture with some sense
 and  meaning,  and  not  just  a copy
 which  u  see  and  forget  among the
 other  gfx,  but  a picture with many 
 hidden  things  and stuff u first see
 after   some  time  looking!!  But  I 
 didn't  release it at the ASS94 becoz 
 of  that  really lousy quality screen 
 thay  had  there!  So  I  guess  that
 non of you reading this have not seen 
 it YET but have patience, it'll be in
 a Demo soon! ;)


 7) You  entered many GFX competitions 
 over  the  past and you are very well
 known, what is your best Memory!

 Well  I have to say that that must be 
 the  South  Sealand Party, coz I WON!
 hahaha.. naaa.. I really cant say coz
 they  all  were  cool! Well I can say
 which has been the worst! haha....


 8) Which  Graphicians  in  the  Amiga 
 Scene do you admire?, and why? 

 Ok  this  is  EASY!!!!  RA/Sanity and 
 Serpent/Carnage! (They dont copy).


 9) You  also  are  a  sysop of a BBS,
 tell us a bit about it!

 Well  thats  true, I run a board, ahh 
 thats  really  great,  I meet (well I 
 dont  actually  MEET  em`) lotsa guys
 (like u)  and thats great, well its a 
 hard  job  to  get it to run, (with a
 minimal gfx brain) but I think I have 
 managed it by now!

 10) What   are  your  plans  for  the
 future?

 More  GFX,  more  nodes,  more Fun!!!

 11) What  do  you think about copying
 pics?

 Argh! Thats a question I really can't
 get  to  fit  in  this issue, ok i'll
 make  it  short!! Ok After my opinion
 Artists  have  to  have  a  brain and
 think  a  little  for  himself, BUT I
 don't  care  if  he copys, If just he
 had  made  a  little for himself just
 like  2  out  of 10 pics! That proves
 that he can himself!


 12) What  do you think about cracking
 games etc..?

 Well  I  dont  know,  just  that  the
 crackers  should  not crack the scene
 games atleast, coz for most, there is
 years invested in them! so STOP it!
 

 13) Who   are   your  favourite  demo
 groups?

 POLKA BROTHERS !!  And  maybe  VD and
 SANITY!


 14) What are you working on now?

 Well  me and Vention/Julius are doing
 a game, and well I ofcoz am doing Gfx
 for some VD/POLKA and other demos!


 15) Do  you have a girlfriend? If so,
 what does she look like? hehe!!

 ahhhhh!! Yes I have, she is NATHALIE!
 and  looks  like ahhhh I really can't
 say, hehe.. well she's my life!
