Interview with KILLRAVEN (PARADISE) ===================================== ST = SceneTalk's questions KR = Killraven's answers ST: Please, introduce yourself to our readers, give us some info about yourself and your cool work on the Amiga scene. KR: Hello, my name is Killraven and I am a member of Paradise. I usually do some packs and sometimes I draw some little ansis for Paradise, but my main task is mailtrading and to spread our Prods.I am 16 years old and I visit the 10th class of an Gymnasium here in Itzehoe. ST: Tell some more as the well-known information about your crew. What do you think about the organisa- tion of your group ? Could it be better or is it allright? KR: I think the organisation is really good in Paradise ! ST: What do you plan for the future ? Give some information about your work in the near future and soon upcoming productions. KR: Yep !We are doing a trackmo in the moment, which should be hopefully released in the next time. And another coder is working on a lit- tle one parted demo, which will be released soon, too. And of course you will see packs from Viper, Brutus and me ! ST: Ok, let's tell us something about your Amiga history ,e.g. in what groups have you been before and which earlier jobs have you done ? How long have you been in computer scene? KR: I started with the scene around december'91. Before I started to swap I played of course only games. (What else?)I only had been in one group before: Deffpaccers , where I did the same as now in Pa- radise. ST: What computers have you owned be- fore the Amiga? What is your opi- nion on the good old C-64 sce- ne when you compare it with our beloved Amiga scene? Point out the advantages and disadvantages. In which directions do you think will the Amiga scene (in Germany) de- velope? Many elite crews formed PC- sections. What do you think about it ? Is this the right way to survive? KR: Oh yes I have had an old 64 ,but I wasn't in the Scene at all, as I said I started with Amiga and I only played with the 64'er and sometimes I drawed some ugly pics with it. ( Koala Paint rulez! ) I think the scene will totally chan- ged in the Future, coz there are so many dudes, who bought a modem and also started modemtrading. In case of this, there won't be as much friendship as now , coz only business will survive in the mo- demscene. 0 days old stuff and no- thing else. Hmm, and the advanta- ges ? Latest stuff !! He he ! ST: What extra hardware do you own? KR: I just have 1 MB of RAM ,2 exter- nal drives, Action Replay III, a styled mouse and lot of disks. ST: Have you any plans for buying more hardware (better equipment) in the future? KR: Yep ! Maybe I will buy a modem and the equipment you need for modem- trading like a harddisk ! ST: What's your opinon about PD-compa- nies? Some of them sold demos for much money and do not ask the pro- ducers for a permission ? Have you made some experiences with PD-com- panies? Tell, a short story about your worsest experience with them. KR: Hmm, yes I saw one PD-company, which sells the Odyssey Demo for 35 DM. That is really stupid, but nowadays a lot of demo-groups protect their productions with a copyright ! So no c hance for PD- Companies ! Sorry, but I never had any bad experiences with a PD-Com- pany. ST: What is your opinion about the mail-swapping scene on Amiga, are you planning to become a modem- trader? What do you think gener- ally about modems and the fast changing scene nowadays? KR: As I told you before I will maybe buy one modem, coz I get bored with old stuff, which you get each day , but this is the disadvantage as a mailtrader. Being a modemtrader is very nice, but the modemtraders just look at games and that is the only bad thing in the modem scene. ST: What is your opinion about the mail-swapping scene here in Germa- ny?Give some information about ad- vantages, disadvantages, what you like or hate, post and the behavi- our of your contacts ... ST: What is more important for you: friendship or business? KR: The behaviour of my contax is ok. Ok, there are some stupid dudes , but I don't care.I try to phone my contax (falls ich die Telefon num- mern nicht gerade verloren hab), coz I haven't the time to write each of my 160 contax a looong letter. The Post is the worest thing in the mail scene, but I think every good mailtrader knows it, isn't it ? ST: What's your statement about crack- ing? Have you get some experiences with it ? Which crackercrew is at your opinion the most famous one ? KR: Cracking is ok,coz without them I can't play my favourite games ! I think the best group in cracking is Crystal ! ST: Did ya have any troubles with the police?Remember the copyright laws and add your own statement for it. Do you think that the copyright laws have any negative effects in evolution of the scene? KR: No, I have not had any problems with the police yet ! No, I think there are soo many copyright laws, but I do not know a guy who care about the law ! ST: Where do you come from and live. Descibe your impressions about your home area. What do you every day in your normal life ? Are you surrounded all the time with some cool friends,Amigafreakx or neadly girls? KR: I come from Itzehoe a city near Hamburg in the northern part of Germany. Yes, here are some freaks around me like Ex-TSL , Sanity, E.S.G, EX-ARISE and Triad. Neadly girls ? Never seen one in Itzehoe! Cool friends ? Yes , but they are not in the amiga scene and they do not surrounde me all the day. ST: What do you think about Amiga parties? What kind of parties you prefer in your real life? What was the best party you visited ? Is there the possibility that your group will arrange a party in the future? KR: Amiga parties are really good, but often there are only a few guys to booze and that this is stupid I think. The best party I have ever visited was the Anarchy, TSL, Cry- stal Party ! ST: Did you made often voyages in your life ? Describe just the visited places and your impression about them . Do you like travelling, meeting new pals, seeing new places etc? KR: No, I am not the traveller No.1. I've been in Italy,England,Spain, Denmark and my last trip was to France with the school . It was a horror, coz I am not able to speak french at all. Just a little bit ! But meeting new dudes in France was quit nice. ST: What kind of music do you prefer, listening often to radio or watch- ing videos at MTV? KR: I don't hear a lot of real music, but when I listen to some music I usually listen to techno. At satur- day night there are really cool videos on MTV ! ST: Do you have a girlfriend at the moment ? If so , what is her name? What kind of girls you prefer? KR: Next question, please ! ST: Describe your favorite and prefer- ed following things: DRINK:Coke is quit cool ! FOOD:Pizza TOOL:Dpaint,Xcopy and Asmone REAL MUSIC:all kind of Techno, Jean Michel Jarre MOVIES: Batman I COUNTRY: Germany DEMO(S): Hardwired,3 D Demo,KRest- mass Leftovers,Deepcore, Global Trash II GROUP(S):Anarchy,TSL and PMC SWAPPER(S) (OR TRADER): My favourite traders are Protektor and Cardinal/Crystal MUSICIAN(S): Mantronix & Tip/PHA GRAPHICIAN(S): Cougar/Sanity CODER(S): Spy,Dan,Azatoth CRACKER(S): Crystal DISKMAG(S): PMC's Raw , Hack Mag and MC Disk ST: Ohh yeahh, is not this treatment some time finished? Maybe soon, but first you have to tell me which question I did not ask you and which one I should ? Hmm, have you something special to say like some last words , greetx or messies to some of your best friends, address ...? KR: Yes, to answer my favourite MAIL- TRADER was a bit strange , but ...
