W H I T E L A B E L P A R T Y I N V I T A T I O N By Dope and Sprawl of White Label N A M E Somewhere in Holland organised by White Label. W H E N 14-15 August 1993 - 12.00, Saturday to 12.00, Sunday. Non-Stop at night W H E R E Nijmegen/Holland, in a place called "Het Kolpinghuis", address: Smetiusstraat 1, Nijmegen. The place is well known all over Nijmegen. Its a 5 minutes walk from the station and the place can hold 200 computers and more people. If more people show up, we might open another hall. C O M P E T I T I O N S We will have 3 competitions: DEMO COMPETITION - 600 Dutch Guilders MUSIC COMPETITION - 200 Dutch Guilders GFX COMPETITION - 200 Dutch Guilders We are sorry to say, but due to your lack of knowing us we can't afford Aars-like prices. Because most visitors will be Dutch, we will pay you out in Dutch guilders. You can change it at the local change-office at the station. Rules will be genlocked on screen and will also be printed on paper. All products must be in before or on the deadline and must be new and released on Somewhere In Holland! F A C I L I T I E S Toilets will be cleaned every hour and if neccesery, the people that can't piss straight will clean it once more! We have 2 official bouncers to prevent trouble. 1 big screen (6 sq. metres) A board on the wall that shows you where in town you can find the best disco's, cafe's, cinemas (at what movies are playing) etc. A drive-in show for the music. Info-screen, genlocked on the big screen that informs you of the latest action every hour. H O W T O G E T T H E R E COMING FROM "DE RANDSTAD" IN HOLLAND You probably all know the city Nijmegen. On the map leads a road (A15) from Rotterdam to the East, following "de Waal" that is called "Nieuwe Maas" up in Rotterdam. You follow the A15 until is is T-Crossed with the A52. From there you turn South, a sign near the road will probably be put there by the ANWB to let you know once more that you'll have to turn south to go to Nijmegen. From there its easy, you cross "de Waal" using a bridge and then you are in Nijmegen. On your left you can see a casino on the "Waal-kade". So, if you don't win any competition that will be your place to get rich (or poor). Of course you can also drive via Utrecht and in Arnhem and there, turn South to Nijmegen driving the A52. That's it for now, at the bottom of this you can find a description how to act in Nijmegen. COMING FROM THE NORTH OF HOLLAND Of course, people also live in the North of Holland. In "de Achterhoek" we've got the big beer-drinkers (Drilled to be useless, he he) that are supposed not to drive any car and we've got some people more North near "FrieslÄn" en "Groningen". From Enschede you could take the A1 to the West and turn South to Arnhem at Apeldoorn, driving the A50. In Arnhem you can again take the A52 down to Nijmegen. When passing "de Waalbrug" you can see on your left a big "Polder". True nature it is, so take one last breath before you enter the sweat-hole "Kolpinghuis". PEOPLE ARE STILL LIVING SOUTH If you live in the big "Drip" (South Limburg) and Carnaval isn't in August this year you are suggested to go North, following "de Maas" to have a party at another place, but with the same enthousiasm! Ok, there are no big highways leading North from there so you better just follow the maas up to Sittart, Roermond, Swalmen, Reuver, Tegelen, Venlo, Blerick, Venray, Vierlingsbeek, Boxmeer, CUIJK, CUIJK, CUIJK, nijmegen Heyendaal, Nijmegen (Train RULES, OV nog meer). COMING FROM BURG. VAN ERPLAAN Ok, pal, especially for you. I know you only know how to get into "het Eftelinghotel" so here's a special description for you. Walk straight to the nearest bus-stop and be there on the right time and also watch that nobody is calling in the call-box (He might catch you to start a conversation with the guy he's calling with, I had this before). These 2 rules are very important because they might prevent you off missing 8 busses (c.q. touring cars). Take the bus to Tilburg Centraal Station and take the train to Nijmegen (stands at platform 3, but it might aswel be 4, not 5 just as like 2 that isn't the platform you should be. 3 is the one, or if it isn't, it will be 4. If it isn't that one either, I'm wrong). Following you will have the best time in your live. Moving without having to do anything for it. If you leave Kim/Lemon (?) at Tilburg Station or put her into another carriage and you have an old "boemel"train you, might catch 2 girls of about your age. Don't start tagging onto the tables, near the window because they don't like that (you don't get this, but that doesn't matter, we DO!). If you arrive at Nijmegen Centraal Station you better get off the train because the Party isn't in Zwolle (that's where the train goes). OK: THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT AND SO YOU MUSN'T FORGET: YOU MUST TAKE A PENCIL- ERASUR (een gommeke) INTO THE TRAIN! if you don't understand this, ask it on the party (or on the phone). This text might also be important for more people living near/in Waalwijk, Dongen etc. Just take the train or get your car and get over here via Den Bosch. PEOPLE LIVING IN GERMANY Ha, as you Germans never speak any other language than German I suppose you won't understand this text. Therefore I don't have to type it. No, let's do it anyway, Its very simple, just go to Holland (I hope that's not to hard for you, because then you will miss the whole party). And then read one of the textes above to know how to get to Nijmegen. Message to I.W. Interstudie Sucks! Kolping Rules! (und: Ich bin nicht stark, die computer tues al das wark!- Tape-stormer). WHAT TO DO IF YOU ENTERED NIJMEGEN There are 4 ways to enter Nijmegen. These are ofcourse only the main entrances but here they are. You can enter coming from: Arnhem, Den Bosch, Cuijk/Boxmeer (A73) or Malden. If you enter from Arnhem, just follow the road untill you reach the rotunda called "Keizer Karel Plein". Turn right the second street and then its within 400 metres. If you enter from Den Bosch its a bit harder to do but just follow the railroad track (you'll have to cross it!) and you will again reach the rotonda. Now take the 4th street on your right and its (again) withing 400 metres. Coming from the A73, leave it at "Knooppunt Lindenholt". Turn right and follow the railroad again (now, you won't have to cross the railroad). At the rotunda, turn right at the 4th street and you'll be again at 400 metres distance. Ok, from Malden its quite simple too, as the road ends (again) on the rotunda. Take the 3th street on your right this time. Ok, its parking places are a bit a problem here but on the map, that's on disk too you can find them signed. We will also put signs all over the place so it will be hard to miss "Het Kolpinghuis". Ok, I wish you luck in your quest of finding the Holy place. R E M E M B E R - Remember to bring along money to go to a disco, cinema, sex shop (?) and more because we'll make a little map (big paper) that will be nailed to the wall that contains all places in the neighborhood where you can go and play pool, go dancing, see a movie (we'll write down what movie plays where) and more of these things. - Remember not to bring any drinks or food (except something like a loaf with peanut-cheese. Its all there and a snackbar on the other side of the road is open all night to give you lot's of (junk)food. - Remember to make a demo for the competition. - Remember to make a picture for the competition. - Remember to make a tune for the competition. - Remember not to bring along foreign currencies, we won't accept it but you can change it at the local station (And they don't change things like the Russian Rouble). - Remember to bring along your computer! - Remember to bring along some distribution sockets for the electricity. - Everything must be grounded (fire- prevention!). - Remember not to leave your products for the competition at home! (you're a suckhead if you DO leave it at home!) - Remember to bring your best demos, everything (well, almost everything) will be viewed on the big screen Remember to bring "Global Trash-The video". The first one to bring it will have free entrance. - Remember to bring along yourself. I M P O R T A N T This party is not to be canceled by anyone except White Label! This means if you don't hear anything the party will go on. If there might happen something ("Het Kolpinghuis" burns out or something) we will release a "Too Bad" intro. It will be fast spread using some Modem-Trade. All invited people will get it also from us personally. So if someone will start spreading rumours about the party being canceled you can kiss him with the back of OUR shoes! No, that's enough about that. I hope you understand what I am trying to say. There is only one organisation that can cancel the party and that organisation is called White Label. Ok, got it? If the party is canceled for any reason, you'll be the first one to hear it! U N K N O W N The fact that you never heart of us before is that we will officially enter the scene with this party. Of course, WL has already exsisted for 1 year but for us, it was a time of training and development. We started WL as a joke and more for the friendship and not for the development of demos. While time passed we started to interest ourselves (of course) for demos etc. You understand that it took some time etc. Well, friendship is still the most important issue. If, for example, Facet asked us for joining and he turned out to be a jerk, he would be kicked immediately. Of course this is no offence to anyone but just an example. C R E D I T S Finally, we want to thank Facet/Lemon. and Nao/Lemon. for there contribution to the party-invitation. Also Hi- tech/Desire for spreading the invitation and our own new BBS, called The Southern Tribe: +31-(0)4160-30252 M O R E I N F O Dope/White label Joost Brugman Buizerdhorst 23 5431 LW Cuijk The Netherlands +31-(0)8850-14197 Also code and swap SpraWL/White label Thomas Speller Tongelaar 16 5438 PZ Gassel The Netherlands +31-(0)8860-75353 Also Gfx and swap Zenon/White label Rene van Schijndel Korhoenderveld 13 5431 HA Cuijk The Netherlands +31-(0)8850-13052 See you the 14th and 15th of August. end.
