INTERVIEW WITH ADT/ABSOLUTE!

  As  we are a Hungarian diskmag, we'd
like to make the Hungarian scene a bit
known.    Together   with   the  usual
interviews we will allways introduce a
Hungarian  freak, this time one of the
best  coders  in  Hungary.   As  he is
living  10 minutes from my place he is
the  ideal  person to interview in the
last moment before releasing.

Hello ADT!  Please introduce yourself,
How old are you and what's your job?

I'm   a   113  years  old  coder,  but
sometimes I make the gfx and audio for
my  products  coz  it's easier to make
such  gfx and music that will fit with
my  image  of  the  product,  than ask
others  to  do so.  Just check the SH9
intro.   If I ask our musician to make
a  fast  music that's approx.  50 sec.
long,  have a blasting sound in each 2
secs,  and  double blast after, etc...
I'm  sure  that this will not fit with
my  image,  but can be a nice tune for
an  other  project.  Our musician Ern0
and  Brian  are very tallented, Ern0's
musics  are  very  great but not for a
demo   (Check  musicdisk:   Musication
Vol.1),  he  is  a musician with their
own  style,  his  musics are very good
for  games,  diskmags,  sideshows.  We
have   yet  only  one  product  (Pizza
Place) with music from Brian, and this
spec.   coded  for that music.  Now we
got  2  very tallented graphicians CRM
and  Jaby,  and  they  making graphics
that  fits  with  my  designing image.
Rack also pixeling some gfx for us.

Tell us, what your name means, is it a
short of anything?

Yes  it  is  short  of:   Love,  Sex &
Inteligence,   in   papuan   language.
Seriously   it's   shortage   of  Axon
Digital  Technics, but I think this is
very lame name nowadays and I use only
ADT.

When  have  you met with computers for
the  first  time?   Tell us about your
carrier!

1984: I started learn Basic on  ABC-80
(cool machine!)
1985: I  got  a  Commoore 16  from  my
parents, I found my pseudonym: ADT.
1986: I got a C= 128
1987: I  got  an  Amiga,  and  I found
Soc.Brigade with my friend Asti.
1992: Soc.Brigade  changed   name   to
Absolute!

Have  you  ever  dreamed  of joining a
group like Silents or Anarchy?

No.   I  ever dreamed to make a famous
group with my friends.

What do you think about the scene? can
you see some real troubles?

There   is  a  big  problem  with  the
hugarian  scene  and this is:  most of
hugarian  groups  think  that they are
famous  because  they have released an
intro   an  they  have  more  than  20
members, they always spreading rumours
about eachothers, and thinks that they
popularity  will  raise  if  they make
other groups unpopular.

Do  you  like  parties?   What  do you
prefer to do in a party?

I  like  meet my friends, and have fun
(sometimes booze) together.

What's  the reason of demomaking?  Why
don't  you  code only games?  How many
intros have you made?

I  coded  about  50  relesed  produsts
(intros,       demos,      slideshows,
musicdisks,  utilities).  I think this
got  me a big experience in coding.  I
will  code games if I get a good offer
and I'll sure that I can sell my work.
Democoing,  is my hobby...  I do it in
my sparetime.

Have you other hobbies?...

Yes, my hobbies: killing, protracker
testing, collecting girlies...

Killing who?

Odd  lamers,  even  lamers, lamers who
call  me lamer, Norton Commander users
and killers like me...

How do you think can a dude learn very
well coding?  Is it question of talent
or anything else?

Yes,  the guy must have something that
you  can call talent, but he must have
lot of persistance.

Lame  is  very  popular word nowadays.
what  does  it mean for you?  Who is a
lamer?

I'm surely not a lamer but I was.  But
by my opinion nowadays lamer that dude
who  have  bigger mouth than talent in
making   some   code,   gfx,  or  zak.
Swappers  are  exceptions,  they makes
our world go around...

Okay,  now  let's  jump  to  the  real
world!    which   is   your  favourite
alcoholic drink?

Coke  is  my  favourite  but  it's not
alcoholic.  If I decided to drink some
alcoholics   then  my  fav.   is  pure
Vodka.

What/Who  is  the best thing/person on
the world?

Sex, bugfree code, codefree bug.
Me,  myself and I!  (just joking...) I
wont make this interview 42Mbytes long
coz  I  can't  crunch  it  to fit on a
disk,  (I'm  hardworking  on a FRACTAL
cruncher,  then...)  so  I list nobody
now...

What/Who  is the worst thing/person on
the world?

Have friends.
Nuclear  weapon  developers and Norton
Commander users.
(On  Abaddon  II party we have renamed
on  some  PCs NC.COM to NK.COM...  can
you  imagine  how  many  lamers  can't
start  their  games?   They are simply
can't type DIR, CD, etc...  some after
1 year, they got their PC!)

What kind of music do you like?

I  like lotsa styles, it's changing by
my mood.  I like Newage, Rap, JazzRap,
Techno,  Rock,  EBM...   my  favourite
groups are:  Art of Noise, KLF, Jarre,
Public  Enemy,  Beastie Boys, Run DMC,
Tangerine   Dream,  Vangelis,  Cabaret
Voltaire,  Yello and lotsa more I wont
list all now.  I like Techno music but
there  is a big fail, lotsa new groups
making  really  shit  music  that they
call  techno  and  this  makes  techno
unpopular.  I very hate "disco" music,
like London Beat, Kylie M., Roxette...

Which  is  your  favourite sport-cloth
mark?

???   have  you one?  It's changing by
products,  but  my  biggest  part from
Adidas.

At  last how many hours have you spent
with  Sledge Hammer, and how many time
you sitting by computers?

With coding of the first version of SH
I  spent 2 month, and the worktime was
app.  70 hours.
Weekly app. 30-40 work, and app. 10-20
scene. But why don't you ask how many
time I spend with my girlie?
