INTERVIEW WITH DOCTOR NO/RAZOR 1911: ------------------------------------ This time I (KHORNE) have found a new victim for my interviewing. Now, let's see what he says. 1> Please introduce yourself! I am Doctor No of Razor. Me and Sector9 are the founders of Razor 1911. We started years back on the C64. At this time Razor 1911 was the best demo group in Norway at the C64. When the Amiga arrived we stoped our activity on the C64 and started making demos on this new wonderful computer. Making demos was really fun, but after some time we got a bit tired of it. We got one hardworking member in the USA ( ZODACT! - Greeeetings Brian!) and soon we moved over to cracking. We mainly cracked US originals, as we had few suppliers in Europe. This year we moved over to the IBM. With our cracker Darwin from Norway and Zodact in the USA, we released many, many IBM games. 2> What do you think about RAZOR 1911 today compared to the "old" days? We used to be a demo group on the Amiga, now we crack only on the IBM. We have many new members and many left... But still the founders are active. I like it better as it is today! 3> Is it true that your english division has taken control over the entire RAZOR 1911 ? We gave the English division ONLY the leadership of Razor AMIGA . The IBM section was still under control by me, Sector9 and Zodact. Mr.T tried to rebuid Razor Amiga, but after some time he left Razor and started another group. Razor Amiga is now Norwegian again. 4> Have you any plans for the future? demomaking? or have you stopped your coding on the AMIGA? Me and Sector9 stoped democoding on the Amiga and I don't think we'll start again. If I had time I would be coding, but demos don't really give you anything. Our future plan is to STAY strong on the IBM! 5> What is your best demo ever? My best demo is Vertical Insanity. (Hold Right Mouse Button when decrunching!) 6> Do you have good contact with the other RAZOR-divisions? Yes, I am on the phone with the other members of Razor every day. 7> What do you think about the amount of BBS's in the scene these days? Hmmmm... Don't really think it's need for all these boards. Would be better if there were more multinode-boards with at least 1 GIG of storage. I call only overseas boards, so I don't really know how fast in Europe are these days. 8> Are you going to THE party in lillestroem this easter? No, don't think so - I am bored of copyparties. But maybe me and Darwin will come if we can travel cheap! 9> What is your favorite group, coder, demo et.c. ? My favorite coder is... those coders who program demos with new ideas! The FLASH FUN PRODUCTION demo in RED SECTOR megademo 1 was really cool! I like the music of Uncle Tom and Follin Brothers! 10> Do you have any contact with the "old" members of RAZOR 1911? Yes. 11> Is it true that "1911" is taken from the year when the first condome factory in this world opened? No, it isn't true. 1911 was invented by Sector9. The number (year) was chosen randomly - and becoz it looks 'nice'! pssst: #1911 = $???? 12> What is your favorite disk-mag? I don't don't read them anymore, but I used to read Cracker Journal and Zine! There are too many mags these days! 13> What do you think about stamp faking and blueboxing? BlueBoxing was ok until 'all' amigaowners in Norway started using it. I think faking stamps is a bit childish. 14> What is your most expensive phonebill ever ? Hehe Let me see... About US $400 in 3 months! 15> What is your best expirience in the AMIGA scene ? Even if I am tired of copyparties, they might be me best expirience in the Amiga scene. My overseas friends is also something I will never forget about the the scene! 16> Do you still have your "old" A-1000? Yes, with 512 K only and a b/w monitor!!! SHIT! 17> Messages to your friends? None Thanx to DOCTOR NO/RAZOR 1911. Khorne/Paragon
