The Sun'n'Fun Conference 1992
   ===============================

The story  started  on  the  early Sa-
turday  morning, when I was  not  able
to find my trainticked. Finally, after
30 minutes of serching for it I  found
it behind the TV-set. So I  grabbed my
bag with all the important  stuff  for
the party in it(250 SCENE TALK voting-
sheets !!!)  and  asked my  mother  to
drive  me  down to  the  local station
here in  Kiel. Of  course she  was not
able to refuse ( thanks Mam ! ). I got
in the train right in the last  second
and  the  trip to Hellenthal where the
party should take place began. In  the
train it  was  not  quite comfortable,
because  it started  to  rain  just  a
short time after the train  left  Kiel
and the train's window was not able to
keep the rain outside the train. Bull-
shit ! I changed my seat and  tried to
sleep,  because the  trip should  last
about  six  hours, but in  Hamburg  my
sweet dreams were over,  because  of a
stupid guy started to shake me through
so that I thaught that it would be  my
Judgment Day ! When I was awake  again
he told me that he only wanted to  ask
me for the time, but this was a  lie !
He started to tell me the whole  story
of his damned life  and when the train
reached Dortmund I knew  that  he  was
doing  his  militery  service  at  the
moment, that his wife was pregnant and

that  his  shoesize  was 48. Two hours
later  I  arrived at  the  main-train-
station(cool word) in Koeln and waited
for  my next  train  who finally had a
fine  delay  of  20 minutes ! The last
part of the trip only lasted one  hour
and when I left that  train in  Kall I
had to recognize  that the next  train
to Hellenthal would drive in about two
hours,  but  it was  good  luck for me
that  there  were two  oter  guys  who
wanted to go to  the SUN'n'FUN: Masque
and  another  guy  (sorry, forgot your
name ! ) of  DELIGHT.  We  decided  to
share a taxi. The taxi arrived and the
horror began ! The  driver drove as if
he was the devil himself ! He  speeded
145  kmGh  where  only  70  kmGh  were
allowed.  We  left  the  taxi near the
party-place in  Hellenthal and  walked
the last few meters towards the  hall.
Arrived  there  we payed the entrance-
fee  and joined the party. I recognize
that  many  cool  guys  were  allready
there  and  so  I  decided  to   start
spreading  the  voting-sheets. So  the
hours  passed  and  I met lots of cool
dudes. In the evening nearly the whole
party dudes went into the  village  to
have  something  to eat. I think  that
the owner of the pizza store has never
before sold such an  amount of  pizzas
on  one  single  day  ( by  the  way :
The pizza  did by far not  taste  very
good!).  During the  rest of the night
there  was a cool  disco  held by  the
organising dudes. Every guy  who  came
to the party got a voting  sheet where
you should vote that kind of music  he
wanted to hear in the disco. The disco
was real  greatly organised, but  most
of  the  party  guys did not manage to

turn  their  computers  of a nd so the
disco was a  flop (!NOT! caused by the
organisation  !). After  the  socalled
disco there were some  tired  guys who
wanted to sleep, and so the music  had
to stop. I decided that it would  also
be  the  best for  me to try  to sleep
some hours and so I did.
Just  woken  up  the next morning  the
competition  were  to  be  held.  They
started with the GFX-competition, con-
tinued  with  the  SFX-Competition and
ended  with the  long  awaited  demo -
competition. After every single  piece
of work was shown everybody  was  able
to vote on a voting-sheet.Just an hour
later  the  competition  results  were
published ! Here they are:

After  the  competitions  most of  the
guys just copied the competition-stuff
and left. I still had to stay, because
of  the  fact that my  trainticked was
not  valid  on  Sundays. When the most
guys  had  gone  I helped  the guys of
ARISE  to tidy  the  party-hall and to
clean the floor (some dickheads  could
not  avoid  to  paint  on the tables !
That  was not  very kind ! No names to
be mentioned !You know what I mean !).

At  5.00 p.m. everything was ready and
Pink of ARISE  and I left  for another
pizza (HABBELE rules!INSIDER JOKE !) ,
but  this time not in the same restau-
rant. We found anotherone not very far
away  and we  entered it and I ordered
a  Pizza-Salami. After 40 minutes  the
waiter arrived and gave me a pizza.  I
looked at  the pizza  carefully  and I
had  to  remark  that it  was a Pizza-
Frutti di Mare and so I called for the
waiter again and asked him if he would
be  sure that  this would  be a Pizza-
Salami. He said that he did  not  know
it exactly either, but  after  he also
examined it he was not able to show me
a  single  piece  of  salami. Then  he
remarked  that  this pizza was ordered
by  somebody  else and he excused him-
self 100000 times for having all mixed
up. After the pizza we  went  back  to
the  hall  and had some beers together
next to the ARISE'o'MOBIL (a very  old
and rosty  camping  bus !). Two  hours
later ererybody was tired  after  that
hard weekend and we lay down to sleep.
The next  morning  I  left  Hellenthal
together  with CUBE of ARISE  who came
to the party by plane (!).In Kln CUBE
had to take the bus to the airport and
I had to take the  train back to Kiel.
In the train nothing special happened.



Conclusion :  The party was  very well
organized, but as the most of the guys
only  came to  the party to leech  NEW
STUFF ( I hate the expression ! )  the
praty was not as good as it could have
been !
