THE SEMI 93


SOMETHING ABOUT THE PARTY ITSELF

From 9-11 of april scoopex, energy and manitou held a party in Innsbruck/Austria called 'SEMI '93'. I (Ufo/Submission) drove with Metal Death/Leprosy and Snowman/Leprosy to the party place on saturday. We arrived around midday. The party was held in the sportshall of an elementary school. We entered the party place and met Mosquito/Manitou, who told us that the entrance fee will be 200 ATS for everyone. well that's fuckin' much for a party we thought! anyway - we told him to give us a beer for free and after we got (a pretty warm) one, we decided to pay and enter the party.


INSIDE THE PARTY-PLACE

There where some tables in the hall with (of coz) computers (mostly Amigas) on them. About 50-80 guys where sitting and standing around. We saw also a video-screen on the front side of the hall ... but nothing happened on the screen. After a few hours(!) we saw that someone started the video-recorder to show some very lame film... Is this a cinema or a party??? A few minutes later the film stopped for a little while - then another (even lamer!) film had been inserted in the recorder...baahhhh! never saw such fucking films with unknown actors, lame quality and also without any real action! Meanwhile nearly everybody wondered why nobody stopped that terrible shit! where have the organizers been in all that time? All in all the party seemed to be very bad organized. The prices for the drinks and snacks have been normal, but sadly, there was no refrigerator, so the beer was warm like hell.


THE ONLY BONUS I CAN GIVE

A very big bonus to the organizers for the light! On most partys the main-room of the party, where the freaks sit behind the computers, is dark like hell! That's of coz no fun for all guests who take their videocamera with them. on that party there was enough light to film well and also enough to watch the things on the monitors aswell! I think other party-organizers should think also on this detail!


THE COMPETITIONS

There were 4 competitions where only 3 were held becoz of too less productions. So the demo competition was canceled. The competitions were the lamest thing on the party - no organizing! absolute chaos!!! There where 6 dudes in the jury which managed(?) the competition (project the stuff to the video-screen). ... And as you maybe all know: 'too many cooks make a bad soup'! And the soup they brewed was more than bad: disx got lost with productions for the competition and the show of all the stuff was all in all a chaos! Also a faked sound-module was given to the competition-staff by some lamer. It was originaly from Metal Death ('Walk all over you' from the sound-disk 'Operation Metalstorm')! But that wasn't the fault of the competition-staff. Good luck that Metal Death was present - he stormed to the jury and told them that this module is a fucking rip-off. Only some little parts had been changed! Of course the jury disqualified the lamer who did that shit.


ABOUT THE GUEST'S ITSELF

We also met some cool dudes like Coma/Leprosy, Antibyte/Scoopex, Trade/Scoopex, Steve/Dandr, Zinkfloyd/Energy, Stranger/Energy, The Insane (allways stoned) guy in space ---> Negativ/Energy ! He was for sure one of the most funniest guys we ever met! Negative was the right dude to save that boring party! We smoked some cool waterpipe with him, Zinkfloyd and the other dudes and really had lots of fun! Except me, coz I had to drive home for about 400 km with the car... ... But senseless I think - coz I always say to myself: 'Why drink and drive when you can smoke and fly'? So the really 'positive' on the party was negative (Coder of Energy).

Before we arrived at the party we planned to stay untill sunday... ... But as we saw all the shit films, the lame competitions and the less guests, we decided to drive home at about midnight. By the way: I mean the organizing of the competition - not the productions! There where some real cool intro- and module-productions!

Another reason was also the eastern-traffic! You can't imagine how it nerves to drive home when all the highways are full with cars, driving home from skiing, or from visiting the good old grandparents who only told senseless shit all the time....hehehe


ABOUT THE LAMEST GUEST ON THE PARTY:

We also met the double of 'Al Bundy' (becoz al sells also shoes like the guy mentioned in the next sentence. Irata/TRSI - This guy is for sure the lamest dude around! - why? Let's tell you the little story of Irata alias Al Bundy. The only things which are ident between Al Bundy and Irata are:

1. They are both shoe sellers!
2. One is even more silly than the other!

This ugly fat Irata-Baby was drunken like hell (I mean: it seemed that he was drunken - or is this his normal behaviour?) and screamed like a masturbating, ejaculating bull! He also disturbed every guy on the party and fell over every table twice. the only 2 senetences he screamed all the time where: 'FUCK YOU!!!' And the even better one was: 'WUUUAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!' Well, as you can see he has a very high IQ! Anyway... He don't need a higher one to sell fucking shoes in a super-market I guess. He also claimed to be the coolest elite-guy around coz he ('The one and only') is in the scene for 10 years now! Well I guess he has only to do with computers for about 10 years but nothing more! I can't imagine what he wants do with his computers with such a low IQ... ... Maybe he's only able to switch a computer on and off! To insert a disk he will definitly need the help of his mom or/and daddy. Maybe he screams one of his only known sentences: 'WUUUAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!', and his parents will come to feed him, change disx and the brown underwear.

I also have to do with computers for about 10 years (I started in 1983 with a VC-20) and everybody who has to do with computers since that time knows that 1983 there was no real active scene present. Only a few dudes who cracked sometimes (if needed) on the VC-20.

Moreover all dudes who think they are the best and elite are in their real life total suckers! They have mostly a worse self-reliance. But I guess I slip away too far from the real topic now. ok, ok... Now after an hour or two, Irata has been kicked out from the party-staff coz he destroyed a glass door in the building. That was also one of the reasons why there hasn't been any prices for the competitions finally. (Thanx Irata! - You Asshole!!!). The organizers claimed that they will have for sure much to pay becoz of all that destroyed and dirted things.

I for myself don't appreciate with that! For what did everyone pay 200 ATS ??? I think that this is not the fine english way!


ALL IN ALL

It was very bad organized and it also wasn't really worth to come. Of coz it was fun - but only becoz we met some good old friends again.

A guy called 'Colour/End of Century' also stole a modem, a videotape (have fun with that shit-tapes!) and some disx. Also a mouse and some other expensive equipment got 'lost'... So what do you think is this? Is that a party? Is that an intact scene? Well, I don't mean that the organizers are only guilty for such things. But this is an example that 'friendship' is for the most dudes only 'a word with no meaning'.
