bought our traintickets and I organised
our trip to Norway..... with Amiga and
other stuff + food and drinx we started
our trip on Thursday morning at 5:00 AM
!! At 22:00 PM we were on the ferry
from Fredrikshavn to Larvik where we
met some cool dudes from Rebels,
Silents and Dexion, later Yankee of
Addonic... We started training for the
beerdrinking Competition.... Well, at
about 12:00 we were at Larvik! Then we
took the train to Porsgrunn... In the
invitation also stand that there will
be signs everywhere which show the way
to the partyplace! Well, I saw NOT one
sign! NOTHING! That was the first
promise which was not held! But it
gets better... After nearly 45 minutes
of searching we found the
partyplace!!!! Even the guys from
Dexion who were also the organisers
didn't know where the partyplace was..
Well, here I have to say that the group
VIOLENCE did the main organising I
heard...and I think that was a mistake!
At the Partyplace we had to pay 20 NOK
MORE than on the invitation stood!!!!
This was the 2nd thing which was not
like the invitation said!! Poor!!!
Ok, we had to pay and went inside!!!!
There were many guys hanging around...
And now a list comes with all (I
think) groups who were on the
AMEGA-PARTY..... (The letters behind
the names are the countries... N =
Norway etc.....)

altogether there were about 800-900
freaks... Well, lets continue with the
report... The building was a school,
quite a good place for such a party.
We build up our equipment and started
to explore the school... I wanted to
count the Amigas, but it were too
much!!! Many guys were painting,
makin' musics and some coded, but there
were also many lame guys who only
played all the time... I took my time
to make some new friends and to talk
with some cool guys...... Well, ok
many people and many Amigas were
present, but there were many small
things which were not so as mentioned
in the invitation... So for example
the big screen was shitty placed under
stairs, so there was not much place for
people watching it... Why haven't they
put it on the stairs, so everybody
could have watched it!!! Well, and
then the competitions came...and also
the 3rd thing which was not like in the
invitation...
There was NO Eating Compo as promised
There was NO Beerdrinking Compo.
There was NO Videowatching Compo.
There was NO Gameplaying Compo.
(I haven't seen some guys competing..)
There was NO Football or Freesbee cup
(There were some guys playing football
but NO results were spread..!!??)
---------------------------------------
The surprise compo was I think that the
other compos were not held...
Otherwise the surprise compo was not.

Well, what a great organisation!!!!
The Armwrestling competition was held,
but it took not longer than 5 minutes
and after those 5 minutes nobody knew
who had won... Well, perhaps the jury
had to inquire which one was better...
AND: It was NOT like that, that
everybody was able to vote and that all

Amega Party Report - page 5/6
by Scuba of X-Trade
Demos, Gfx etc.. were shown on the big
screen... The jury went into a
separate room to discuss which ones
will get which place... POOOOOORRR!!

Well, there also could have been more
new productions, coz many groups did
not release anything... What a pity!
I also think that the voting went like
the name of the groups and not like the
quality of their work... Many other
people thought like this, too. But
anyway look at the competition-
results....

Well, to the Music Compo is to say, that
Dexion (they were jury in the Musiccomp)
got 82 Disx full with modules!!!!
That were 150 songs competing each
other!

That were the most important things
about the AMEGA-PARTY.... I can't say
something about the AFTERPARTY coz we
had to go on Sunday to catch our
ferry... Well, all in all the party
was funny becoz there were enuff guys
but the organising of Violence was pure
SHIT! 50% of the things mentioned in
the invitation were a lie!!! So I
can't say that it was the "best
Amiga party ever held".

One is for sure:
Next year I will go on a conference
which isn't organised by Violence.

So see ya next year!
