T R S I Easter-Conference It`s Party Time. This year`s South European Easter Conference was organized by Red Sector and Tristar in Leuven/Belgium on the 18./19.04.92. All started on Saturday the 18th. We began this weekend with a 4 hour trip from Osnabrueck to the Party Place. As we arrived, about 100 people were already present. The Party place was the cellar of a lokal restaurant called "Thierbrauehof". The room was not very big, in fact it was hardly enough for the 150-200 guys who showed up. The promised pretty girls were only used to take the 15DM enterance fee. But who cares about girls... So some hours of usual party-action started. I met some quite funny guys. In fact almost the whole french elite was present (e.g. Moby, Audiomonster, Conquest, Daryl, Performer, Walt...). Also many german guys showed up, so we were not bored... The equimpent was just standart. But the middle-sized Video-Screen was big enough to give all present guys a possibility to see it. Nothing special happened on day 1. Later the so called `Techno-Party` started, but as most of the present guys were not in the mood to party and were only nerved by the techno-sound, it failed totally. Although TRSI got a professional Techno-DJ... Late at night we finaly decided to head for the promised sleeping place. It was a gymnastic hall some kilometres away from the party. For all guys without a car they organized a very good bus service. Nice idea in fact. The hall offered enough place for all the guys who wanted to sleep. But some idiots causing trouble made sleeping hardly possible. In fact I got only about 2 hours. Not too much if you have to drive back next day... On Sunday morning we returned to the party place. After some time of chatting finaly the long awaited competitions were started. The first was the graphics- competition. The quality of the pics was really good, but for sure not compareable to the comp at the XMas-Party in Aars. The pic by HOF/SILENTS got the first price of 500DM. Next was the sound-competition. The quality of the sounds was a bit disapointing. No really superb sound participated. Finaly Fabian of DESIRE managed to win. In my opinion the audience just didn`t want Audiomonster to win, who presented the only really high-quality tune. So he made only the second and Fabian got the price of 500DM. The demo-competition showed again the low standart of the actual scene. Only one demo really derserved to win a price. Melon Dezign/CRYSTAL presented a very good designed demo called Humantarget. Coded by Performer. Walt was responsible for the graphics and Static composed the tune. All in all a very nice demo. They got 1000DM for their work. After the competitions more and more guys left the party so we decided to leave, too. All in all the party was a bit disapointing. Some parts of the organisation failed and only 200 poeple showed up. But anyway I had a nice time there... Mad Butcher ------------------------- T R S I Easter Conference Report Party-Place The party was held in a little cellar of a restaurant in Leuven/Belgium. It was dark and filled with smoke of cigarettes and the smell of beer. There was a bar and a little screen where some movies and demos were shown. Party-people When we arrived at 10:00 am and the doors were opened, the first impression was 'Just another lame party'. After some hours more and more people arrived. At the evening almost all elite-groups were present. The groups that were on the party (as far as I can remember): Alcatraz, Panic and Agnostic Front, Black Monks, Quartex, Desire, Silents, Anarchy, Melon Dezign, Origin, Axis, Relay, Ozone, Skid Row, Fusion, Genesis, Mirage, Vision, Vision Factory, Suprise Productions, Rebels, Sanity, Dominators, Tech, Supplex, Delight, TEK, The Lost Boys and of course Noxious. Sorry but I forgot a whole lot of guys that showed up because I haven't made a list and it's 2 days after the party. There were no troubles with the organizers because of drunk people which doesn't mean that there weren't any drunk people because there were some very drunk Germans like Funky/Paf. House-Party At 23:00 pm the so called house-party began. Well how can you give a house-party in the same room were all computers are standing? Well this was the first failure of the organisation. They invited a Belgian DJ to turn the tables. I agree it was a quite good one but if even I think it was too loud, it has to be! Sleeping-Place The sleeping-place was a gym-room about 2 miles from the party-place. At about 3:00 am everybody got kicked out of the party-place and the last bus to the sleeping-place left. Well when you arrived at the sleeping-place you could hardly sleep because of some idiots yelling, burping etc. At 6:00 am almost everybody was awake again after a night of about 1 hour of sleep. Around 8:00 am the bus was leaving to the party-place again for the second day of partying. Police The police was said to invade the party for illegal stuff etc. The police dropped in just ones and that was because some guys sprayed graffiti at the circus and the cafetaria at the other side of the party-place. Competitions At 12:00 am the competitions started with the graphics-competition. The pictures were shown on a video-screen and you could vote for your favourite by yelling and screaming, which is what I and probably a lot other guys think is a stupid way of voting. The proof of this statement was when the picture of Hof/Silents was shown and all Silents-members began to yell and scream as loud as they could so it was a simple decision for the organizers to let that picture win the competition. After all pictures were shown and Hof got his money another video was shown. The voting for the music-competition was the same as the graphics- competition. A lot of Agnostic Front guys couldn't stand that Audiomonster of Silents was the one to win the competition so they screamed their heads of when the music from Fabian/Desire was playing. Well Audiomonster really deserved the first price but that's what stupid voting can do. Well another video later the Demo-competition started. There were a lot of high quality demos in it which I hadn't expected. Everybody agreed that Humantarget from Melon Dezign was the real winner. The first price of the demo-competition was 1000 DM, not much for such a party! Conclusion It was a great party I think. But there were some things that were in the invitation that weren't there, for example the waitresses. There weren't any waitresses at all! And the security wasn't so well organized too! But that are only two things. I hope there's gonna be such a party again soon. Cone/Noxious
