A spoof release is a release that voluntarily displays fake credits or other major fake information (fake group, fake party, fake game...). This may have several purposes: - Fuck intros/demos defacing the target (not straight ones); - Hide the identity of the persons involved i.e. for instance with certain cracks v. fear of being busted; - Make a friendly joke or dedicate the release to someone else; - etc. To be in this category, a given release must have most, if not all credits faked and the purpose of this must be intentional. It can be also a group name hijacked by other people, a non-existent game cracked, etc. Simple errors, mistakes, omissions or oversights do not count towards this qualification.
