Release Reviews
Review on Chromagic
The united forces of Dual Crew and Shining are finally back to bring us this new music-disk and we can't be that really happy of this. An 'Alien' style credits-part introduce this production which we've to admit looks really nice because of the cool and original design which they've managed to realize. The code is quite normal for a product of this kind but there's the possibility to have all modules loaded in memory and this is a really nice feature. All the musics... read more
Review on Clairvoyance
CLAIRVOYANCE by ABSOLUTE! A long one-file production from this group that in the past few months hadn't released anything. There was everything they needed to make a masterpiece: graphics by RACK, music by DOC HOLIDAY & TWILIGHT and code by ADT. Yet, this demo isn't. We don't know why, maybe because of the slowness of some parts, anyway, CLAIRVOYANCE remains just a good demo. Nothing more.... read more
Review on Destroy Fascism
DESTROY FASCISM by ANGELS The winning intro from the Saturne party shows again the good abilities of the coder, Ninja, which is able to do really good 3d routines on Amiga but it confirm also the same lack of a bit of originality in each his new product. In fact, there are a lotsa of effects in this 64K intro but all are sadly deja-vu. The music by Latyl is very like to an old Hi-lite-tune but maybe he used some old sampl... read more
Review on Eurochart 21
THE OFFICIAL EUROCHARTS issue 21 by STATIC BYTES Not much to say: some changes in the gfx, quite good music, gallery of the usual high quality. A negative note for the really low amount of voters. They say that next issue will have some changes, let's wait...and see.
Review on European Top 20 - issue 7
EUROPEAN TOP 20 issue 7 by EQUINOX After a delay of two months, the latest issue of the chart with more voters has come out, and we must say that we were a bit disappointed of it. There is nothing new, and I think that everyone did expect some changes after such a delay, moreover, most of the articles are old and uninteresting. They say that issue 8 will have a new code, let's wait...and hope.
Review on FLAN
FLAN by CRYPTOBURNERS A well-designed intro which contains only few routines and it's a pity because we're really waiting to see soon a new bigger production from this legendary crew.
Review on Headline 1
HEADLINE issue 1 by STONE ARTS There is a new mag on the scene, and it comes from Norway, RAWland. The first thing you notice since when the intro loads is in fact its likeness with the most famous mag on the scene. This resemblance is also evident in the mag itself. Yet, the question is: "is that as good as RAW??" Well, the answer is..NO! There are too few articles, and 90% of the... read more
Review on Kid
AGA REVIEWS KYD by OOPS/MOVEMENT The winning intro from Saturne AGA competition is another beautyful piece of design by this fairly new sub-group of Movement. The "Circus" music by Bruno together with the nice graphics from Alex make this short production worth watching. Unluckily the code is nothing of original, there's only a bitmap rotator, and this really... read more

Review on Propaganda 2
PROPAGANDA issue 2 by ILLUSION For the second time COLORBIRD and his friends are back to entertain the scene with their mag. Yet, this time they took a step behind if we compare this with the first issue: if we except some, the articles aren't very interesting and if we add the fact that the text fucks up on my A500 1.2 and that I had to call the coder M.A.S.E. to fix the module and be able to read it, the judgement... read more
Review on Rink a Dink
RINK A DINK by LEMON. LEMON. is getting more productive as time goes on and this doesn't seem to mean anything to their usual quality, in fact also this new production from the most acrid of the fruits of the scene is a real masterpiece. Coded by PARADROID, this demo features just a few but great effects perfectly linked together, a cool music by NUKE and good graphics from the FACET+DANNY duo. If it wasn't for its shor... read more
Review on Silent Moebius
SILENT MOBIUS by INTENSE Third place for this 'below the average' production which doesn't offer nothing of really new. Some glenz vectors and cycled shade-bobs together with a little and incomplete story about vectors are for sure not enough to justify a so high place in a demo compo, evidently poor of better releases. The music isn't so bad while there are some graphics (logos) which seem be suggested(?) from... read more
Review on Snake Rider
DEMO OF THE MONTH The scene is changing his face. Probably, a guy kidnapped from aliens two years ago would have some problems today to recognize it. Nowadays, if we analyze the scene products, we could note without doubts that there's been such a high improvement of quality in every kind of production that it is becoming really hard to compare most of old 'demos' (considered 'great' for that... read more

Review on Waterproof
WATERPROOF by ILLUSION First demo from this new group in the scene that has been formed by ex-CIRCLE members. The coders have done quite a good work, bringing us a lot of good although not innovative routines. Anyway, the main fault of this trackmo is that it hasn't got a design! The various routines are shown each after the same loading picture by SINE and this is surely a bad thing, as the design in t... read more

Review on mod.just a dream
Tune of the month 2-The 'Clairvoyance' tune by Doc Holiday and Twilight, a really good one from this surprising duo that we think will soon found an higher place in the charts if they keep on this way. Well, as you can imagine the choose was really hard but at last we opted to 'Clairvoyance' tune by Doc Holiday and Twilight of Absolute! because of better quality, variety, and 'more work behind it', certainly, these were the princi... read more
Review on mod.monsieur lampiste
Well, the awarded chip-tune of this month is the one from DOH of CRYPTOBURNERS which was included in the CRB 'Flan' intro released at the Saturne party in France. Surely it is the really nice melody the point of strenght of this tune that maybe is a bit more larger than usual chip-tunes, being about 30k long, moreover it perfectly fits the design of the CRB intro.
Review on mod.rink-a-dink
Tune of the month, honorable mention 1-The 'Rink a Dink' tune by Nuke, which is another one after that of 'How to skin a cat' that confirms the temporary(?) passage of this musician from 'atmospheric' and 'jazz songs' at a new kind of style mainly influenced by Trancing (?) tendencies.
