About

This intro was some kind of showoff of Accede's n-th 3D-engine and Contraz' new HAM 1x1 chunky2planar. In fact, the intro is probably the first 3D-demo ever that has used HAM 1x1 at such a huge screen. Accede had been working on the new (at that time) 3D-engine for a couple of months, and it wasn't even complete when the intro was released, but it worked fine for its use there. The whole intro takes scene inside a 3D- tunnel where we fly around and watch different 3D-objects. Why call a demo "A Very Long Precalc?" you may ask, well, it simply needs a minute to precalculate different things before it can start. Unfortunately a pure 3D-intro wasn't enough in the intro-compo at TG98.)
